Sparks flew with every pedal stroke on the bike, almost smoking, finally making it to the school gate just in time before the dismissal bell rang.
Lu Chen stood at the gate, blinking his little eyes, looking at the parents picking up their kids, searching for Fu Xiaoxiao's presence.
Fu Xiaoxiao spotted Lu Chen first and waved at him. "Xiao Chen!"
"Mom!" Lu Chen waved excitedly and pointed at Fu Xiaoxiao, speaking to Teacher Fang. "Teacher Fang, my mom is here!"
Fang Xiaohui led Lu Chen to Fu Xiaoxiao. "Mrs. Lu, Lu Chen performed exceptionally well at school today, he adjusted to kindergarten on his very first day."
"Thank you, Teacher Fang, sorry for the trouble." Fu Xiaoxiao patted Lu Chen's head.
"Hehe." Lu Chen, having received praise, puffed his little chest out proudly.
Just as Fu Xiaoxiao was about to leave holding Lu Chen's hand, a little girl in a pretty dress with two cute little pigtails ran up to Lu Chen, grabbing his clothes.
"Lu Chen, I want you to play with me."
