Chen Jinlan fantasized about a beautiful future and headed straight to the police station.
The people at the police station looked at Chen Jinlan with helpless expressions, and finally, a newly arrived officer came to attend to her.
"Comrade, what can I do for you?"
Chen Jinlan said, "I'm here to see your Captain Jiang."
The new officer had joined after Jiang Jingming's promotion and did not know that Captain Jiang was Jiang Jingming.
"Comrade, we don't have a captain with the surname Jiang here."
Chen Jinlan said, "How is that possible? Jiang Jingming, I met him before."
The officer suddenly realized, "Oh, you mean our Vice Jiang?"
Chen Jinlan was puzzled, "Did your captain get demoted?"
The officer shook his head, "No."
The others couldn't listen any further, one stepped up and said, "Vice Jiang wasn't demoted. Before, Vice Jiang was the squadron leader. Now, our Vice Jiang is the deputy brigade leader."
