Suddenly called by Serena Sullivan, Claire Sullivan halted, tightly clenching her hands together.
"Is there anything else?"
Afraid that Serena would ask about Mr. Sterling.
"How is your divorce with Joel Quinn going!"
Serena asked calmly.
Claire Sullivan and Joel Quinn had reached such a point that they couldn't be together anymore. She was worried that Joel would shamelessly refuse to divorce, dragging out time, which wouldn't benefit Claire Sullivan.
"I've filed for divorce."
Claire Sullivan breathed a sigh of relief, turned to look at Serena, "But he doesn't agree."
Only now she realized that the man who kept claiming to love her was actually a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Mr. Sterling is genuinely rotten, Joel Quinn is falsely rotten. There's no difference between the two; one made her hate, the other made her sick.
"I really have terrible judgment." Claire Sullivan said self-mockingly upon thinking this.
