Serena Sullivan walked out of the police station; the sunlight outside was glaring, causing her to take a while to regain her senses.
"Serena!"
The voice of Claire Sullivan came from behind; she watched Claire walk uncomfortably in front of her.
"I never thought it would be related to him?"
The more you understand a person, the more terrifying they seem.
The feelings Claire had for Felix Lockwood in the past were completely worn away upon learning the truth.
"I was just randomly guessing."
Serena replied with a smile. Without evidence, she casually speculated, testing which was true and which was false.
Guessing wrong didn't matter.
Guessing right was even better!
"Perhaps your incident twenty years ago had nothing to do with Felix, and it really was Wendy Monroe's doing."
Serena comforted Claire as she walked towards the parking lot across the street.
Whether or not Felix was involved wasn't that important.
