"My mom refused to get a divorce. Yesterday she tried to kill herself by swallowing sleeping pills, it even made the news."
As Anna said this, her eyes grew even redder and tears fell.
"I'm so scared of going home now. Either I walk in on them fighting, or I hear something awful has happened to my mom again!"
In Anna's memory, her parents had always had a really good relationship. They never argued, they never even raised their voices.
