Aiden Grant deeply regretted bringing Lily Shaw with him to the Grant Family Estate, especially seeing Old Master Grant's current expression—he was truly beside himself with remorse.
To be honest, it was his own fault. After dinner, Lily asked him where he was heading, and he answered offhandedly. Yet, from his casual response, she gathered that he was going back to the Grant Family Estate. She said it was already impolite enough that they hadn't paid their respects to Old Master Grant as soon as they arrived in Aethel.
Now, if Aiden returned to the estate alone, Old Master Grant was sure to think poorly of him. No matter how much Aiden promised that the old man wouldn't have any bad impressions of her, Lily refused to listen and insisted on coming along.
