The couple left Uncle Ox's noodle shop. Lily Shaw's expression remained indifferent. Although she was still holding Aiden Grant's arm, she no longer leaned on his shoulder as affectionately as before, and even when she spoke to him, she was absent-minded.
Lily's sudden aloofness gave Aiden a feeling of panic, making him wonder what exactly Uncle Ox had said to his little woman to make her suddenly react to him this way.
"Honey, what did Uncle Ox say to you?" The Eldest Young Master Grant straightforwardly voiced the question in his heart, as he couldn't guess what Lily was thinking.
"Uncle asked me if you treat me well." Lily reined in her thoughts and once again showed Aiden a familiar and warm smile, slowly easing his uncertain heart.
"Then how did you answer?" The Eldest Young Master Grant stopped walking and looked into her eyes. Eyes are the windows to the soul, and he hoped to find the answer he was looking for within them.
