Lily Shaw watched Stella Lowell's furious expression, a glimmer of triumphant satisfaction flickering swiftly in her eyes. Her right hand slapped away Stella's reaching left hand, and instead of advancing, she quickly stepped back.
After retreating a step, Lily Shaw acted as if she didn't notice the looks of contempt or concern from those around her. She stared coldly at Stella, whose scheme had fallen through, and curved her lips into a sinister smile: "Miss Lowell, you really don't know what's good for you. I originally gave you and the Lowell Family behind you a chance, but since you insist on forcing me, I'll reveal the secret inside this glass!"
"Lily Shaw, cut the nonsense!" Stella Lowell snapped, but a flicker of fear flashed through her almond-shaped eyes. Could it be that Lily Shaw knew they'd tampered with the wine at the banquet?
