Qin An was slightly taken aback, then strode quickly to the door and opened it.
He saw the old eunuch standing at the doorway, anxiously glancing left and right. Clearly, something major had occurred to make the old eunuch this flustered.
And when the old eunuch saw Qin An, he let out a breath of relief and said,
"Mr. Qin, you've finally come out. Your Majesty told me to hurry over and find you. He said something has happened that's enough to plunge the entire Daqian Kingdom into turmoil. You must come over so he can discuss how to handle it, otherwise even he can't decide on a concrete course of action."
Qin An's brows furrowed even tighter.
He hadn't sensed anything happening, so why would Emperor Xuanwu be summoning him?
That left him deeply puzzled.
But puzzlement was puzzlement; Qin An didn't waste words. After telling the old eunuch to go on ahead, he tidied up briefly, then headed toward the place where Emperor Xuanwu was.
