"Is it not too late to meet them? Shouldn't we wait till morning?" Koul asked as they walked toward the house.
"I informed them we'll arrive late, and they said to come when we arrive. They've probably been waiting for us."
Koul had been so excited to get things done right away so he could start the academy. But now that he was about to face his adoptive parents, nervousness chewed at him.
"Is there anything else I need to know about them? Like, how to address them or greet them."
Kanstiv closed his eyes, unwilling to let out a sigh because even though Koul had dropped his title back home and now disguised himself as a commoner, he still remained a king.
Sighing to his questions even though they felt incessant would be rude. He knew Koul was nervous as he had already sensed it.
"You just have to call them mother and father. And be a filial son," Kanstiv replied.
Koul swallowed hard like he was trying to down a lump in his throat.
