Chapter 316 - Chapter 316: World Fate Line Deviation — Uchiha Ten's Helplessness

Madara wasn't someone like Minato Namikaze who was burdened by emotions. There was no way he would give up this mission.

Demon Queen: "That's it? That's how it ends?"

Demon Queen: "I didn't even get selected?"

Holy Guardian Left Wing: "What can you do?"

Holy Guardian Left Wing: "Get used to it. I've missed all three missions."

Demon Queen: "Old me isn't the same as you!"

Holy Guardian Left Wing: "No, you're not. You're over twenty thousand years older."

Demon Queen: "Goddamn bitch!"

Utaha: "I actually thought I might get selected this time. Turns out I waspresumptuous as usual."

The facts proved that even without the strength restriction, they weren't special.

Richest Man: "Just wait. There'll definitely be opportunities in the future."

Richest Man: "I waited this long too."

Richest Man: "And isn't the Group Leader only participated in one mission?"

Ordinary Group Leader: "..."

Ordinary Group Leader: "You really didn't have to bring that up!"

.........

Some unknown island in the Pirate World.

In the blood-red Sharingan, two magatama slowly rotated, emanating a sinister aura.

But Uchiha Ten's entire being had fallen into a state of utter paralysis.

He stared at the data streams and golden light clashing endlessly in the sky above, at that seemingly ever-watchful, ice-cold, emotionless eye — and for a moment, he couldn't even think.

Who was he?

Where was this?

What was happening?

After a string of questions, Uchiha Ten gradually came to his senses. He flopped down onto the ground, a bitter smile spreading across his face.

"What the hell is this!"

Uchiha Ten said, thoroughly defeated.

After crossing over, he'd learned that he'd transmigrated into the Uchiha clan — and that there was less than a year before the Uchiha massacre. The whole thing had left him completely stunned.

What was his strength level?

To put it generously: an elite Chunin. To put it bluntly: just an NPC.

As everyone knew, the strongest in Konoha were the Genin.

Which meant Chunin were undoubtedly the lowest tier!

Of course, that was a joke. But the truth was, being a Chunin really did have nothing to do with being strong.

His talent was decent. The intense emotions triggered by his transmigration had awakened his two-tomoe Sharingan. Relying on those eyes, he could probably hold his own against a Jōnin — but face Uchiha Itachi?

Dream on!

Itachi's personality aside, there was no denying his talent.

At eight he awakened the Sharingan. At thirteen he was an ANBU squad leader and had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan!

A master of genjutsu — even Orochimaru was counted among his battle results.

Now, Orochimaru's soul wasn't complete at the time, but a loss was a loss. Orochimaru himself admitted defeat.

That kind of talent was beyond what Uchiha Ten could match no matter how hard he tried.

In less than a year, there was no way he could develop his Sharingan to the Mangekyō level!

Uchiha Ten had no confidence in himself. He didn't think that after transmigrating he'd suddenly become some genius or prodigy, rapidly rising from elite Chunin to Kage level in a short time.

Sharingan evolution required intense emotions — but he had no bonds with this world whatsoever. To move him emotionally, the world itself would have to end. And even then, probably not.

No hope. Just waiting to die.

That was what he thought.

Then he heard the System's voice.

Upon investigation, the System's full name was the All-Heavens Transmigration System — as the name suggested, it allowed him to transmigrate across the ten thousand worlds.

Not only could he transmigrate on his own, he could also bring his entire clan with him.

However, to open a third world after the second would require massive amounts of energy points.

Energy points were equivalent to a portion of the world's destiny. They could only be obtained through items of value from that world.

For example: ninjutsu and senjutsu from the Naruto world, the Divine Tree's fruit, tailed beasts; Devil Fruits from the Pirate World.

Once a sufficient number had been accumulated, the next world could be opened.

As a newbie bonus, he had one free chance to open a world channel.

He was quite lucky — he opened the Pirate World.

Mm, before arriving at this world, he truly believed he was fortunate.

He'd planned to come scout ahead alone, then once his strength grew, quickly take control of the Uchiha clan'sright to speak and bring the entire clan to this world.

Then…

"Ding — World fate line deviation detected!"

"Ding — World fate line deviation detected!"

"Ding — World fate line deviation detected!"

"Ding — Emergency plane shift initiating… Alert, alert, blocked by world consciousness, breaking through… Unable to break through, forcing plane shift anyway!"

"Ding — Unknown energy blockade detected, unable to plane shift!"

"Alert, alert"

"Ding — Passive defense activated. Searching for world defense perimeter."

"Please remain patient."

A cascade of notifications nearly scared Uchiha Ten to death!

What did "world fate line deviation" mean?

World consciousness interference? What was that about?

Unknown energy blockade? Unable to plane shift?

God knows what "please remain patient" meant — at this point, if he could stay patient, he'd have to be insane!

"What did I do to deserve this? Crossed over from a peaceful era straight into Naruto."

"Crossing was crossing, and it just had to be into the Uchiha clan."

"Okay, so I became an Uchiha — and there's less than a year before the clan extermination."

"Thought I'd at least gotten a System to protect myself."

"Then I just came to scout the Pirate World, and the way back is sealed."

Uchiha Ten sighed, lamenting his misfortune.

Had he offended someone in his past life?

Otherwise, how could he be this unlucky!

Among transmigrators, surely no one was more pitiful than him, right?

"Hey, System, what's the situation now?"

"When can I go back?"

"Or are we already unable to go back?"

Uchiha Ten said casually.

He had been extremely nervous at first, but as time dragged on, he actually stopped being so nervous.

Worst case, he died.

He was originally dead before crossing over anyway.

"Ding — System has encountered unknown energy and world consciousness blockade, unable to parse."

"Ding — Please remain alert and patient while the System parses the situation."

The System's voice sounded like it was trying to comfort him, but "unable to parse" versus "parsing complete" — how was he supposed to believe that?

If it said "parsing," he might believe it.

But "unable to parse"…

No hope. Just waiting to die.

Uchiha Ten lay on the ground, watching the System and world consciousness clash in the sky, let out a yawn, and actually started feeling sleepy. His eyes slowly closed.

"Khahaha — you sleeping through all this, little one, isn't very cool."

A rough and bold voice rang out beside him.

Uchiha Ten's eyes snapped open. He leapt to his feet instantly, every muscle in his body tensed, and alertly turned toward where the voice had come from.

And then…

"Wh-whitebeard?"
