Chapter 355 - Chapter 355: Loki: Am I Going to Die?

The result was he hadn't done anything yet before getting kicked twice, then jumping onto Uchiha Sasuke's shoulder.

Uchiha Sasuke collapsed like he'd absorbed some tremendous weight.

The figure detached from Sasuke as well.

What was that thing?

Over the next couple of moves that nobody could follow, they saw the group leader's famous "Uchiha Body Slam."

So the so-called Uchiha Body Slam was just Sasuke hugging the opponent?

Then getting elbowed by him...

Elbowed?!

Before they could process it, they witnessed the full version of the Uchiha Body Slam.

Uchiha Sasuke, enduring the opponent's elbow strike, lifted him in a carry and jumped off the cliff together — plunging into the river below.

Golden Flash: "Sasuke..... that should be Future Sasuke, right?"

Golden Flash: "His strength doesn't seem to match what was shown in the later stages of the memory replica…"

Far from just being weak compared to late-period Naruto — this was weak beyond comprehension!

Why wasn't he using a single jutsu?

The Uchiha clan wasn't known for taijutsu either!

If it had been Rock Lee or Gai doing this, Minato could understand. But Sasuke?

Golden Flash: "Could he have sustained a serious injury?"

Golden Flash: "Low chakra? Chakra network depleted? His dojutsu failing?"

Otherwise it made no sense!

If he wasn't using ninjutsu, he could at least use the Rinnegan!

Richest Man: "And that guy spinning in circles — that's Boruto?"

Richest Man: "What's he doing? Even if the special effects are lacking and they don't have the budget for proper fight choreography, he can't seriously think he can bait a member of the Otsutsuki clan like that?"

Which Otsutsuki clan member doesn't have a set of good eyes?

Sharingan and Byakugan are baseline at this point.

Ordinary Group Leader: "Shrug.jpg"

Ordinary Group Leader: "How should I know?"

Ordinary Group Leader: "It's Boruto, not Naruto. If they want to show off Boruto's strength, they have to weaken everyone else."

Ordinary Group Leader: "They just went a bit too hard."

Ordinary Group Leader: "I haven't watched it myself — just stumbled across this clip. No idea if the rest of the story is normal."

Ordinary Group Leader: "But the online reception isn't great. Can't hold a candle to Naruto either way."

Utaha: "If Present Sasuke found out what his future self had become, he probably wouldn't want to live."

Young Sasuke had been crushed before. He'd taken his share of losses.

But being body-slammed and elbowed like in that future? That kind of humiliation probably hurt worse than outright defeat.

You can beat me. But not like this.

Fifth Division Captain: "I saw Uzumaki Naruto and Jiraiya in there."

Fifth Division Captain: "They traveled back through time to Naruto's timeline?"

Fifth Division Captain: "From what that Otsutsuki said, their target seems to be the Nine-Tails?"

Ordinary Group Leader: "Presumably yes."

Ordinary Group Leader: "@Child of Nature, @Ninth Prince of Qin, do you two know?"

Child of Nature: "That much can be parsed from this segment."

Child of Nature: "As for how they traveled back through time… Shrug.jpg"

There were so many good anime to watch. He wasn't going to waste time on Boruto just because it existed.

Nostalgia has its limits — the follow-up work has to hold up.

Otherwise it's not nostalgia, it's destruction.

Boruto's quality was clearly nowhere near Naruto's.

Ninth Prince of Qin: "Same here."

Ninth Prince of Qin: "I'd rather watch something else interesting."

Ninth Prince of Qin: "Though I heard the manga version is much better, but unfortunately I don't have a habit of reading manga."

Ying Zinian didn't have deep feelings for Naruto to begin with. He wasn't among the first batch of viewers.

He'd only gotten into it later when he came across some highlight compilations online.

By then the anime was already at the point where Uchiha Madara was taking on a hundred thousand ninjas single-handedly.

Nowhere near the emotional depth that the original Naruto fans felt for the series.

So when Boruto's story turned out to be a far cry from expectations, he simply moved on to other anime.

Fifth Division Captain: "...."

He might as well not have asked.

Just as the group was having a pleasant discussion, a sudden sound cast everyone into silence.

*"Ding — Loki has been detected facing death risk. Initiate Aid Mission?"*

The chat group's voice echoed in everyone's ears, and the information it conveyed left them stunned.

Ordinary Group Leader: "???"

Richest Man: "???"

Golden Flash: "???"

Simulterrain: "???"

Loki: "???"

Loki: "Am I going to die?"

Loki sat there completely bewildered. He'd been watching everyone chat just fine — when had this Aid Mission suddenly appeared?

He had a death risk?

What a joke!

Ordinary Group Leader: "Something doesn't add up."

Ordinary Group Leader: "@Loki, why are you still here?"

Su Yunqing stared blankly at Loki's question marks filling the chat window.

The group had never seen an Aid Mission trigger before — normally, when something like this appeared, wasn't the member in question supposed to be half-dead by now?

So why was Loki still able to fire off question marks?

Loki: "What do you mean why am I still here — of course I'm still here!"

Loki: "Death risk?"

Loki: "I, the rightful King of Asgard, have any risk whatsoever?"

Loki: "Thor has been talked around, he's given up on the throne and is preparing to spend the rest of his life on Earth with that human woman."

Loki: "What possible threat could there be to me?"

If Thor was handled, Loki couldn't conceive of anyone left who could threaten him.

He was now a being who had merged with Odin's bloodline!

The union of Laufey — King of Frost Giants — and Odin's bloodline. Loki had awakened entirely new abilities.

Transformed and strengthened, amplified by the power of Asgard itself, he was now supremely confident.

Mjolnir in hand, even Laufey himself would be crushed effortlessly. There was simply no possible threat.

A death risk was absurd.

Ordinary Group Leader: "Thor got talked around that easily?"

She'd expected it, but this was ridiculous. It had only been a few days.

Even if time moved faster in Loki's world, it couldn't have been that fast.

Loki: "Hahaha."

Loki: "You have no idea what face Thor made when he saw me lift his hammer and wave it in front of him."

Loki: "That expression of disbelief, shock, resentment — like he'd just endured the worst betrayal of his life. The memory alone was enough to set me off laughing."
