Chapter 29 - kaido and whitebeard

The training began at dawn.

Kaido in his human form stood at the center of the beach, his massive kanabo club resting against his shoulder. Around him, the Hanma family had spread out in fighting stances — Yuuichiro with his tail swishing, Yujiro cracking his knuckles, Baki bouncing on his feet, and Haruko with his arms crossed, studying the beast before them.

"Show me what hanma blood can do ," Kaido rumbled, his voice carrying the authority of someone who had never truly been defeated.

The session was brutal and methodical:

Yuuichiro went first — his Saiyan-Kaido hybrid strength allowing him to trade blows with the Yonko directly. Each punch created shockwaves that flattened the nearby palm trees. Kaido's eyes lit up with genuine excitement as he was forced to actually block instead of simply tanking hits.

Yujiro followed, his Hanma demon back fully manifested, the face-like pattern of muscles rippling with power. His fighting style was pure violence — no wasted motion, every strike designed to cripple. Even Kaido grunted when Yujiro's fist found gaps in his defense.

Baki surprised everyone by adapting fastest to the world's heavy gravity. His smaller frame became an advantage, allowing him to move like liquid while the others adjusted to the crushing weight.

Haruko combined Saiyan ki control with vampire speed and Zoldyck assassination techniques. His movements were precise, deadly, each strike aimed at pressure points that could drop even monsters.

By midday, all five fighters were drenched in sweat, grinning with the savage joy of warriors who had found worthy opponents.

"This..." Kaido panted, leaning on his club, "this is what I've been missing for years. You bastards are actually stronger than me in raw power."

Yuuichiro laughed, tearing into another chunk of sea king meat that was still smoking from the cooking fire. "That's the point of training, Kaido. Push until you break, then rebuild stronger."

The beast nodded, his respect for the family growing with each exchange.

Their training was interrupted by the sound of laughter echoing across the water.

"Gurararara! What's this? A family reunion without the world's strongest old man?"

A massive ship approached the shore, its whale figurehead cutting through the waves. Standing at the bow with his arms spread wide was Edward Newgate — Whitebeard himself.

Yuuichiro wiped grease from his hands and called out: "Whitebeard! Is this place turning into a circus? Everyone's coming!"

The ship beached with a grinding of sand and wood. Whitebeard leaped down with surprising grace for his size, sake jugs hanging from his belt, followed by his division commanders.

Marco landed beside him, phoenix flames flickering around his shoulders. Diamond Jozu thumped onto the sand, his crystalline arms reflecting the sunlight. Behind them came nearly ten other crew members — seasoned pirates who had fought in the Grand Line's most dangerous waters.

"I heard your family had come to visit," Whitebeard grinned, setting down the sake. "So I brought my sons to meet them properly."

Yuuichiro's expression shifted, becoming more serious. "Actually, Whitebeard, your timing is perfect. I need your space crack ability."

"My Gura Gura no Mi?" Whitebeard raised an eyebrow. "What for?"

"I need you to injure my son and grandson."

"WHAT?!"

The entire beach went silent. Even Kaido looked startled.

Yuuichiro's voice remained calm, matter-of-fact. "They need beating to become strong. It's the bloodline of our family — we don't grow from comfort, we grow from surviving what should kill us."

As he spoke, he reached into Haruko's pocket and pulled out a return bracelet — the device that would allow them to travel back to their original world when the time came.

"Your earthquake powers can create injuries that push their bodies past normal limits. Controlled damage that forces rapid healing and adaptation."

Whitebeard stared at him for a long moment, then burst into laughter. "Gurararara! You Hanma bastards are even crazier than the rumors said!"

He raised his fist, white energy crackling around it. "Fine! But don't blame me when they're crying for their mothers!"

Yujiro and Baki and haruko exchanged glances, then grinned. This was going to hurt... and that was exactly the point.
