As a vampire, Remilia had at least a certain level of power in this world.
Dominating the demon clans on Itogami Island was no problem. Finding someone who could easily defeat Remilia—aside from Natsuki, who could restrict her with spatial control—was nearly impossible. But on Itogami Island, finding someone who could definitely beat Natsuki was also nearly impossible.
Unfortunately, Remilia's power, while impressive in this world, was still not enough to face a Primogenitor-class familiar head-on, much less defeat it.
If she really fought a true Primogenitor, she might hold on for a moment before being beaten down… Remilia herself understood this well.
But a familiar that had not yet returned to the Fourth Primogenitor's body would not have true Primogenitor-level strength.
Otherwise, if twelve beast vassals united, wouldn't that be equal to a Fourth Primogenitor?
So for Remilia, the two vassals before her were not undefeatable.
But that was only in a one-on-one situation…
The moment the two girls stopped suppressing their powers, the world seemed to be dyed in new colors.
The ground beneath their feet cracked inch by inch. Rubble burst upward. Destruction descended.
"Go — Cor Tauri-Sucinum!"
The girl marked with Roman numeral II gave the command without emotion.
A scorching, lava-like heat burst from her body.
Boiling heat rose beneath No. 2's feet as the ground turned to magma. As it lifted, a gigantic creature formed—her familiar.
Ten meters tall, gripping an axe taller than itself, its entire body was made of molten rock.
Just looking at its massive body made one feel its savage power.
And that was only the first familiar.
"Wreak Havoc — Al-Nasl-Minimium!"
Next, No. 9 also spoke expressionlessly.
A violent storm erupted around her—power enough to tear the atmosphere and make space cry.
Turbulent air rumbled, turning into shockwaves that spread outward.
Amid the expanding tornado, a massive beast emerged.
A twin-horned horse with dark-red mane. Every tremor of its body unleashed high-frequency shockwaves that made Remilia frown as she met the pressure with her magic.
The bull-headed giant and the twin-horned beast… these were two of the twelve calamity-class familiars governed by the Fourth Primogenitor.
And these weren't even at full power since they hadn't returned to the Primogenitor's body.
Just as Zaharias said—at full power, they could destroy the artificial island.
"Big sister, Flandre…"
"Flandre, take Avrora and fall back! If you don't, I won't show mercy."
Looking at the two beasts, excitement flickered in Flandre's eyes.
But before she could speak, Remilia yelled at her.
Seeing her sister's expression, Flandre understood this was not the time to be stubborn. She pouted, grabbed Avrora, and retreated—though not without mischievously winking at her.
"When we get back, let's eat the pudding big sister hid."
"Isn't that bad…?"
"It's not bad at all! She yelled at me!"
Flandre puffed her cheeks angrily, but still looked adorable. The heavy atmosphere eased slightly, and Avrora, who had been anxious, couldn't help laughing.
Remilia naturally heard them, but only rolled her eyes.
Stealing each other's snacks was a daily occurrence in the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
She still remembered one time after a certain incident, she stole Flandre's pudding. When her sister woke and found it gone, she flew directly to Moriya Shrine—where Remilia was attending a banquet—and fought her. The two of them blew up the entire shrine, and the mansion had to pay a lot for the repairs…
Boom—magic erupted like a geyser before her, pulling Remilia back to the present. She released her power.
The savage familiars immediately attacked.
The bull-headed giant swung its colossal axe with a force that felt like it could crush space itself.
If that hit her, her small body would undoubtedly be torn apart.
Zaharias thought exactly that.
But—
"Don't underestimate me — Spear the Gungnir!"
Zaharias widened his eyes. The wings behind Remilia transformed into enormous blood-colored wings. With a crazed smile, she held a crimson spear glowing with bloodlight.
She threw it.
The red light split the world in two, surging toward the giant axe.
The explosion that followed wiped thought from the mind.
But even then—the attack wouldn't stop them.
Seeing this, Remilia clicked her tongue and instantly appeared above the bull-headed giant.
"Scarlet Sign: Nightless Castle Red" — magic surged toward Remilia. Heat spread outward. Scarlet light wrapped around her.
Sensing danger, a terrible buzzing echoed through the air. High-frequency shockwaves shot toward her.
Far below, the twin-horned beast rushed like a meteor, its horns vibrating like tuning forks and releasing deadly sound waves.
The bull-headed giant shattered the spear and roared, magma power building as it raised its axe again.
"Tch… so this is because they're incomplete copies? But this much is enough!"
A massive surge of spiritual force spread outward from Remilia.
A gigantic cross rose from the earth and swallowed the bull-headed giant and the twin-horned beast.
All of Itogami Island shuddered.
