Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: Why Are You Carrying Something As Devilish As That?!

This was the ship of Duke Ardeal, named Sea God's Tomb. One had to admit, whoever came up with that name had quite the imagination.

Since it was called Sea God's Tomb, it would honestly feel wrong if it didn't sink into the ocean someday.

At this moment, the ship was approaching the shore.

Onboard was a famous noble of the Warlord Empire, one who had obtained immense power by devouring two Elder-class vampires. His name was Dimitrie Vatler.

Wearing an exquisite white suit, Vatler watched the approaching Itogami Island with a faint curve on his lips.

"Humans truly are fascinating. A false land created with nothing but scrap iron and magic, yet its scale is astonishing. The Demon Sanctuary, Itogami Island… it seems this trip will be worthwhile."

Vatler spoke as if talking to himself while sweeping his gaze over the several women accompanying him.

Their crimson pupils already revealed the truth: these were not humans. Like Vatler, they were vampires.

Their skin and their features constantly displayed the unique charm of their respective homelands.

Unlike Vatler, they were not vampires of the Warlord Empire.

The Third Primogenitor, Giada, had ordered her subordinates to bring No. 6 and No. 10 to Itogami Island. As for the Blazing Banquet, she had lost most of her interest. What she truly wanted was for the Fourth Primogenitor to emerge as soon as possible…

Then she could have a proper fight with Remilia.

Incomplete as Remilia was, she posed almost no threat to Giada.

Even without absorbing No. 12, possessing eleven Calamity-class familiars made Remilia a force to be reckoned with.

By the way, as the originally designated Fourth Primogenitor, she should have accumulated enough inherent storage time to possess vast magic power, plus twelve calamity-class familiars. That was the true Fourth Primogenitor.

But for Remilia, such methods were unnecessary.

After all, as Ren's pet, she lacked no means of strengthening herself.

She hadn't even finished gnawing on the crystal in her room.

"Ladies, it seems our shared journey is about to end here. It has been an honor to transport you."

Vatler turned toward the women behind him with an elegant smile.

One had to admit, aside from being a battle maniac, he did indeed carry the poise of a noble.

Then again, even Primogenitors could not escape the curse of loving battle. With long lifespans came endless boredom, and amusement became the sole pursuit of long-lived species.

Even a certain lazy sage would occasionally indulge herself so long as it didn't disrupt Gensokyo.

"Thank you for your assistance, Duke Ardeal…"

The leading woman stepped forward, her voice extremely flat.

Though she said thanks, her tone showed none of it.

Magic surged within her as she raised another question.

"We act under Her Majesty's command, carrying No. 6 and No. 10 to the Demon Sanctuary, Itogami Island. Before that, we were given another order: to ask Duke Ardeal one thing."

"Oh? And what does the Third Primogenitor wish to ask?" Vatler asked with interest.

"Does Duke Ardeal intend to hand over the Beast Vassals in your possession to us, so that we may present it to Her Majesty?"

"I see. So the Third Primogenitor has personally involved herself in this banquet." Vatler didn't reply directly; he simply smiled knowingly.

"No wonder she instructed you to take my ship. So that was her intention. It seems the Third Primogenitor has become horribly bored lately. Watching the feast alone must no longer satisfy her empty heart."

"We merely act on orders. Please provide us with a satisfactory answer."

Though she said this, her surging magic made it clear she hoped Vatler would strike first—giving them a convenient excuse to retaliate and take the vessels by force.

Some people truly had no awareness of their own capabilities.

This kind of person existed everywhere—in the DXD world, in Strike the Blood's world…

"Releasing your magic so recklessly… is this meant to provoke me? So that I strike first, and you may attack under just cause, then take the vassals from my hands? It appears you underestimate me."

Vatler still smiled elegantly, but his expression was definitely changing.

To be provoked by beings of this level—if he did nothing, he wouldn't be Vatler.

If nothing unexpected happened, this ship would soon live up to its name and sink to the bottom of the sea. As long as Vatler didn't care about structural damage…

"Oh ho… Giada, are these your subordinates? How impatient and greedy they are."

Watching from afar, Remilia glanced at Giada with a mocking tone.

Giada's expression didn't change… but the colder look she directed at her subordinates said everything.

"…I will properly discipline these disobedient fools."

Her original orders were simple: escort the vassals and ask Vatler about his intentions.

As for retrieving the vassals, Giada had planned to bring Remilia personally.

After all, providing a space and letting Remilia retrieve them herself was ideal. Difficult perhaps, but Remilia's bloodline was gradually evolving thanks to the Primogenitor Bloodline Crystal, and if that failed, there was still Flandre.

Yet these subordinates acted against orders, eager for credit.

Irritating… truly irritating.

And doing this in front of Remilia? Who wouldn't feel embarrassed?

"Humph! If it were Sakuya, she would have obeyed my orders perfectly!"

Feeling victorious in the servant department, Remilia puffed out her chest proudly.

By the way, although she got along with Giada, she still remembered how Giada beat her up earlier. Since surpassing her in strength wouldn't happen anytime soon, Remilia naturally sought revenge in other areas—like comparing subordinates.

Upon hearing this, Giada chuckled and silently pulled out a phone.

Instantly, Remilia's smile vanished.

"Why are you carrying something so demonic?!"

She had already developed extreme trauma toward phones and similar electronics.

She didn't need to turn it on—electronics were already equivalent to demons in her mind.

Seeing Giada take one out made something snap in Remilia's head.

"I saw Ren-sama uses one often, so I learned how to use it."

"Don't learn useless things like that here!"

Feeling surrounded by people copying Ren's methods of tormenting her, Remilia nearly lost it.

Were these people all too bored?!
