At last, the vicious expression on Frost's face was fully exposed before Frieza. Frieza was currently caught between Frost and the insect warrior.
Meanwhile, in the spectator area of Universe 6, Champa had already seen everything. Just a minute ago, he had been dissatisfied with Frost's agreement to kill on Frieza's behalf, considering him to be a coward. However, the boldness that Frost had displayed now made Champa see him in a completely different light.
"Well done, Frost! Send that guy out of the arena!" Champa leapt to his feet, his eyes glued to the screen.
"Lord Champa, didn't you dislike Frost? Why the sudden change of attitude?" Vados smiled slyly as she asked him.
In truth, Frost was a complete hypocrite. In Universe 6, he acted with false righteousness. While he appeared to contribute to the universe on the surface, in reality, everything he did was to expand his own territory.
He would even sacrifice those he had once helped.
Frost hid his atrocities extremely well, which earned him an extremely high reputation in Universe 6. However, as the God of Destruction, Champa knew everything about him and had coerced him into participating in the tournament.
Champa chuckled. "Heh, Vados, it looks like this Frieza isn't any better. Being treated like this by Frost, let's just say I'm helping Beerus teach the villains in their universe a lesson."
Vados let out a soft laugh, clearly amused by Champa's double standards.
Meanwhile, in Universe 7's spectator area, Beerus was already staring at the screen, cursing loudly.
"Frieza! You idiot! You should have just taken care of that bastard and thrown him off the arena! And yet you insisted on making him kill others!"
Beerus's tone was so intense that Shin (the Supreme Kai) was left somewhat baffled. He couldn't understand why Beerus was so agitated or why he was constantly complaining about Frieza.
With an apologetic expression, Shin interrupted.
"Um, Lord Beerus, do you perhaps have a misunderstanding about King Frieza's strength?" He spoke earnestly.
Beerus turned his head and looked at him.
"What do you mean? King Frieza?"
At that very moment, the screen was suddenly enveloped in a golden light. The radiant glow seemed as though it would burst right out of the display.
Beerus's attention was immediately drawn back to it.
This immense golden aura... was erupting directly from Frieza's body.
Beerus was utterly astonished; he hadn't expected Frieza to have been hiding his strength all along!
"Ho ho ho, Lord Beerus, it seems you're a bit behind on the information," Whis teased from the side.
Beerus looked confused, his eyes filled with doubt and puzzlement. He suddenly began to think back, recalling what Frieza used to be like. That arrogant, tyrannical emperor of the universe; how many people had hated him?
Time passed like a fleeting horse. For Beerus, a single sleep felt like the blink of an eye; mere decades were nothing more than a brief slumber. Yet it was precisely this 'short' sleep that caused his understanding of Frieza to remain stuck in the distant past.
He only remembered that Frieza had once been a genius of his kind, one in a generation. But in Beerus's eyes, Frieza was nothing more than an ant. Decades might mean nothing to a god like Beerus, but for mortals, they are long and full of change.
Countless stories unfold, and countless lives are born and fade away.
Just moments ago, Shin had addressed Frieza respectfully as 'Lord'!
Although Shin was weak in Beerus's eyes, he was still a Supreme Kai. With his power, Shin could have killed the Frieza of the past. Yet now, Frieza had become someone even a Supreme Kai treated with reverence.
Clearly, Frieza must have undergone astonishing growth over these decades.
Someone who had previously had no connection with him was now addressing him with such respect.
"So... you're saying that Frieza has actually become very strong?" Beerus frowned as he asked, his tone filled with doubt.
Standing nearby, Shin nodded gently and replied: "Just one day ago, while you were training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, something unexpected happened on Earth. It was Frieza who stepped forward to protect Earth. He successfully prevented the universe from falling under the control of the Tuffles."
Shin paused for a moment, then continued: "From what I observed, the strength he displayed was far from his limit. So, Lord Beerus, there's no need for excessive concern."
Hearing this, Beerus stroked his chin; he was deeply confused.
No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't fathom why the infamous, ruthless Frieza would protect Earth when no one else could.
Even more surprisingly, he had actually succeeded and protected Earth completely.
"Hey… you're not joking with me, are you?" Beerus widened his eyes and stared straight at Shin in disbelief.
Faced with the question, Shin remained firm and sincere.
"Lord Beerus, everything I've said is true. I witnessed it with my own eyes. I swear on the honor of a Supreme Kai, there is not a single lie in it." He took a deep breath and continued. "In fact, I was the one who personally asked Frieza to protect Earth."
Looking at Shin's expression, Beerus could see that he wasn't lying.
Nevertheless, the idea of Frieza protecting Earth, and even the universe, sounded almost too righteous to be true.
Just as Beerus was struggling to process this, the golden light on the screen began to surge violently.
The raging golden aura instantly engulfed Frost's poisonous needle and blasted the insect warrior directly out of the arena.
Frieza let out his signature sinister laugh once again:
"Ho ho ho! I told you... you no longer have any value!"
