MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC93: Demon Primordial

Chapter 93: Demon Primordial

Monster World, Richard returned and found more people.

He came in an unassuming manner, yet it seemed the residents of the capital already had sharp instincts toward extraordinary figures.

He received countless stares in a short span of time.

"Is that him?" Someone who hadn't seen Richard directly wondered.

"Yes," replied one who had.

"He's truly in the Aether Will Realm? Even defeated a Tier 12 Primordial Beast?"

"Yes, I saw it myself."

"He's truly that young? My artifact can't possibly be wrong." One man used a special artifact to detect Richard's age, without even needing direct contact.

"He should be the boy who recently went viral in the Eight-Star Province. But it's hard to believe some random boy could possess such immense talent. He must have a particular background."

"That's right. Even though many famous figures started untalented, their achievements came from accumulated luck. But to be this young, it must be innate talent inherited from some clan lineage."

"..."

Richard heard every word, his sharp hearing catching it all.

Even though the final tournament of the entire kingdom was so near, the spotlight seemed to be shifting onto him.

As he, followed by Sister Lisa, entered the Monster World, people instinctively stepped aside to make way for him.

No one dared to be rude—only admiration lingered.

And they wanted to see him act once more.

Richard's gaze swept over the Tier 16 and 17 portals.

He felt no need to go through the Tier 15 portal.

Compared to the others, the Tier 16 portals numbered only three—lion, wolf, and rat, each colored crimson.

As for Tier 17, there was only one portal, guarded not by a Primordial Beast, but by a Primordial Demon—a humanoid creature with wings and crimson scales covering its body, a single horn protruding from its forehead.

Primordial Demons possessed intelligence, yet they could not be considered part of the intelligent races due to their overwhelming instincts to kill and destroy.

When encountering other races, they acted like beasts that immediately sought to devour.

Instead of being counted among the intelligent races, they became a common enemy.

Even so, they too could compete for the World Magic Aether.

Some among them had even once emerged as winners.

The fortunate thing was that when they did win, they could control their killing instincts well, no longer living solely on primal urges.

Of course, the eras in which they triumphed were still dark times for the world.

'What if I just go straight in?' Richard wondered.

He possessed the strength and had confidence he could avoid risks—so why take detours?

Perhaps he was even stronger than he realized.

Who knew whether Tier 17 was even his limit?

His confidence swelled, and he smiled.

'Good. Straight ahead, no need to waste time.'

He stepped into the Tier 17 portal.

In an instant, his decision shocked everyone—including Sister Lisa.

"Wait!" The woman tried to stop him, but it was too late.

He was already faster, stepping into the portal.

"This boy..." The crowd could only widen their eyes.

"He dares? Even someone like Lady Rebecca could only defeat a Tier 14 Primordial Beast."

"Could an Aether Will Realm Magus truly contend with Tier 17? That makes little sense—I know firsthand how powerful Tier 17 truly is."

"In theory, it's possible—or impossible—that the kingdom would place a Tier 17 Primordial Demon here. Yet those capable of such feats are usually creatures with innate talents that aid them in battle. Such talents can only be possessed by mixed-blood humans. Pure humans never have them."

Richard no longer heard their discussions, already inside the portal.

He emerged in a battlefield that could only be described as hellish.

It looked like the inside of a volcano, molten lava flowing beneath his feet.

Fortunately, there were large boulders scattered about, serving as footholds.

The heat was evident, thick black smoke rising from the lava—but Richard only felt a slight warmth.

The heat hardly affected him at all. Not only due to his high affinity with the Fire Element, but also because of his mastery of the Codex of Endless Flame, which granted him a body of fire.

Naturally, fire would not suffer from fire.

Yet the sight of the Primordial Demon—crimson scales, horn, wings—instantly pressed down on him.

Its aura was devastating, steeped in destruction.

The moment the Primordial Demon saw a human appear, its claws suddenly elongated to twenty centimeters, gleaming sharp enough to cut through anything.

Whoosh!

It lunged straight toward Richard, its speed astounding.

The air itself seemed pulled toward the creature. Richard even felt as if a suction force was dragging him toward it.

His eyes trembled slightly as he saw the space itself tearing when the Demon's claws passed through.

There was no doubt—the claws could easily shred his body.

Boom!

A loud detonation burst from Richard's body, his eyes widening, unblinking.

At that moment, black lines spread across his body—not tattoos, but his veins, turned black and bulging.

The hidden power within his heart finally surged forth, flooding his entire body.

Richard felt an immense increase in strength—nearly double his original power.

Even the rock beneath his feet cracked merely from his presence.

The Demon's oppressive aura drastically weakened against him, though Richard still recognized it as an extremely formidable opponent.

'Not yet!'

He chose not to use a Mind Attack immediately—it was better to wait and unleash it suddenly, delivering a fatal strike when the opportunity came.

The Demon arrived before him, slashing downward with its claws, clearly aiming to split him in two.

Richard drew his sword, swinging upward, counterattacking directly.

Clang!

A deafening metallic clash rang out, sparks erupting.

The Demon's claws were like steel, its force crushing.

Richard's sword trembled, his body forced downward.

Crack!

The stone beneath him shattered.

But then—the Demon's mouth suddenly stretched wide open, revealing rows of teeth like iron spikes.

"Human, die!" The Primordial Demon actually spoke, attempting to devour his head whole. Its voice was rasping, terrifying.

Richard struggled to evade, pressured heavily by the Demon's claw pinning him down.

The force pressed his body mercilessly.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC94: Hard

Chapter 94: Hard

Unable to dodge, Richard could only use another trick.

Fortunately, he never lacked tricks.

A massive shadow gorilla appeared at his side, its fist nearly the size of a human body.

BANG!

The shadow gorilla struck out with its hand, faster than the Demon Primordial itself.

The creature was instantly sent flying as the gorilla's enormous fist crashed into it.

And it wasn't just one shadow gorilla that appeared.

Ten of them manifested simultaneously around Richard. They all lunged toward the Demon Primordial as it was hurled back.

Relying on their colossal bodies, they seized the demon, which of course struggled fiercely to break free.

The Primordial Demon's physique was indeed formidable. Only because of the gorillas' massive size could they barely restrain it.

Of course, restraining wasn't Richard's true goal.

Click!

He snapped his fingers, and in that instant the shadow gorillas began to swell.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

They exploded all at once, releasing massive amounts of lightning and darkness that consumed a radius of dozens of meters, obliterating everything within.

The detonations were so thunderous that they echoed out from the hidden dimension, reaching the ears of the spectators outside.

From the very start of the battle, everyone could only be stunned. None had expected Richard to actually contend with a Tier 17 Primordial Demon.

"With power like this, he could basically compete with the top geniuses from the other provinces," someone said.

"Yes, their average strength should be at this level once they reach the Life Aether Realm."

"What if he advances to the Life Aether Realm?"

"He might very well win."

"..."

"What? Are those Shadow Monsters?"

"They look similar to the Arcane Art of the Moonshadow Clan."

"That's right. I once saw a battle recording of Lady Rebecca in her youth—she also had Shadow Monsters like these."

As the explosions of darkness and lightning erupted, everyone's eyes trembled.

"This... he's truly using the Arcane Art of the Moonshadow Clan."

In the capital, countless descendants of noble clans were present. They were educated, knowledgeable. They recognized abilities from various clans. How could they fail to recognize one from the Moonshadow Clan?

"Is he from the Moonshadow Clan?" many wondered aloud.

"It doesn't seem like anyone like him exists in that clan. There's no way they could have hidden him, right?"

Richard didn't know the spectators were outside debating the Arcane Arts he wielded.

Of course, he had anticipated that using both Arts would spark countless questions. But he didn't care. He had mastered them—he naturally had to use them. Otherwise, what was the point of possessing them?

He watched the explosion warily.

It was a vicious attack, yet he didn't know whether it was enough to wound the Primordial Demon.

He wasn't optimistic, and soon his doubts became reality.

From within the explosion, suddenly dozens—perhaps even more than a hundred—claws shot out at him, fast and carrying immense destructive power.

Richard could not treat this as a mere simple attack, even though it appeared so.

They were too fast, too dangerous, and their sheer numbers left little room to evade.

"Then this will do!" Richard finally unleashed a powerful wave.

A single shockwave held back the claws, then blasted them away—pushing back even the darkness and lightning of the explosions.

Whoosh!

He saw the Primordial Demon flap its wings, leaping into the air.

Several wounds marred its body where some scales had been blown off, but such injuries hardly counted. The Demon could easily regenerate the shattered scales.

'Perhaps elemental attacks aren't so effective against it,' Richard thought.

With its scales, the Demon was likely more vulnerable to physical strikes or something piercing.

'If I could land a Dragon Fist...'

Richard planned the strike, but it was no simple feat. In terms of agility, how could he possibly match a winged Primordial Demon?

Then suddenly, the Demon opened its mouth again.

Buzz!

Its mouth spewed out a strange substance—like fire, yet not fire, crimson in color.

Even Richard sensed it was closer to stomach acid, carrying the ability to dissolve anything.

"Hmph!" Richard responded by opening his own mouth.

Buzz!

A blindingly radiant flame spewed forth.

It wasn't necessary for him to breathe fire this way, but it was the best method for unleashing a more forceful burst.

Still, his flames were smaller than the Demon's stream. He couldn't make them larger, as in terms of energy, he was still at a disadvantage.

Boom!

A violent explosion rang out as flame and liquid collided, clashing and producing a green smoke that seemed capable of melting flesh.

Though Richard's fire was smaller, the result was balanced—showing the immense superiority of its quality.

Richard narrowed his eyes slightly, locking onto the Demon's gaze.

Behind him, the shadow of a massive black dragon emerged.

It formed from his will to roar.

ROAR!

A deafening roar tore from his mouth, so powerful that it shook the battlefield projection outside, startling all who watched.

Inside the battle zone, space itself quaked violently.

The Demon's crimson liquid was shattered, and Richard's flames surged forward, engulfing the Primordial Demon in a torrent of fire.

'What if I used Sacred Fire?'

Sacred Fire—it bore no heat, yet could burn away all forms of evil.

And the Primordial Demon was evil itself. Richard believed it would be a fatal strike against it.

Previously, he had not gotten the chance to launch an attack that would definitely hit the Primordial Demon.

Now was the perfect chance to use Sacred Fire, with the Demon submerged in his flames.

At once, the flames pouring from his mouth shifted—from radiant crimson to a calm, white fire.

Swish!

The white flame instantly surged into a massive wave.

"Agghhhh..."

A hoarse scream suddenly echoed from within the blaze, followed by a violent lurch to the side.

Through the raging fire, Richard could faintly see the shadow of the Primordial Demon struggling to escape the holy flames.

It was clearly suffering—enough to cry out in agony.

Yet the white fire had already marked the Demon as its target, burning relentlessly. Even without Richard's control, the holy flame moved of its own accord, chasing after the Primordial Demon.

'This is the chance...'

Richard's eyes gleamed as he unleashed a Mind Attack.

It was the perfect moment to weaken the Primordial Demon.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC95: Prevented

Chapter 95: Prevented

Mind Attack could not be avoided, only resisted.

And it could reach any distance in an instant as long as it was within his line of sight.

When the Primordial Demon was struck by the Mind Attack, its wings suddenly stopped flapping while its eyes widened in shock.

It was as if it was struggling to control its wings because it had to divide its strength to withstand the Mind Attack.

BANG!

It crashed into a massive boulder. From almost escaping the Holy Flame, it was now swallowed by it once again.

The only thing it could rely on was releasing a crimson light from its body to resist the Holy Flame, but even that crimson light could not completely hold it back.

Holes continuously appeared, allowing the Holy Flame to seep in and purify the evil within its body.

The effect was even more shocking than Richard had anticipated.

The Holy Flame easily tore apart the Primordial Demon's scales, leaving only its flesh behind, and even that flesh peeled away from its body.

This one was truly weak before the Holy Flame.

"Time for the final strike!"

Richard wanted the Primordial Demon to die faster, and that could only happen if he unleashed another truly fatal attack.

What would it be?

He pondered before choosing to charge directly, acting on his own with his sword.

He coated his sword with Holy Flame without mixing it with any other element.

But the hand holding the sword was his Dragon Fist, ensuring that the force of his slash would be far stronger.

Whoosh!

He swung his sword from the air, unleashing a slash of holy fire nearly ten meters long, slicing through the air before striking the Primordial Demon's chest.

The result was not merely its chest being split—it was cleaved entirely in two, its body separated down the middle.

The spectators outside could only watch in awe, gasping in disbelief.

"Is this boy human or a monster?"

"His power is terrifying, but how can he possess such a wide variety of abilities?"

"Look, the Primordial Demon clearly weakened all of a sudden when it tried to flee. The same thing happened with the serpent he fought first."

"Right, it seems he has some sort of ability to weaken his opponents."

"And he can even greatly amplify his own strength. This is clearly a hidden power."

"..."

Richard had no idea just how shocked the spectators were.

He had just landed after delivering the strike, immediately deactivating the hidden power in his heart, for when it was active, even his heartbeat felt like it was pounding uncontrollably.

He wasn't that exhausted, but he still felt the need to take several deep breaths to calm himself.

(Congratulations on defeating the Tier 17 Primordial Demon in the Realm of Aether Will. You are also considered to have defeated all tiers below Tier 17. Here is the list of rewards you will receive!)

(Become the absolute ruler of a major city equivalent to a provincial capital!)

Richard was immediately stunned when he read the first reward.

The absolute ruler of a province—this was truly too much.

Of course, for someone like him who pursued individual strength, this was not something he would choose.

Who knew whether the province the kingdom would grant was even worth anything?

His eyes scanned the remaining three rewards.

"Wait!" He suddenly realized something was wrong with his assumption.

What he had just read was still etched clearly in his memory.

A list of rewards you will receive, not a list of rewards you can choose from.

Didn't that mean he would receive every reward on the list?

(Tier 4 Weapon)

(Flying Magic Vehicle)

(Power Silver Ring 10%)

(Black Rose of Darkness)

When Richard finished reading everything, a ring suddenly materialized in front of him.

He snatched it faster than lightning, instantly mesmerized by its contents.

Of course, he immediately hid the ring.

He had to admit, the kingdom was indeed extremely wealthy. Such incredible treasures were merely given as rewards for the challenges they designed.

At that moment, he was finally transported out of the battle area.

He emerged outside the Tier 17 portal, instinctively spotting his name on the ranking list.

(Rank 1, Richard, Tier 17!)

(Rank 2, Rebecca Moonshadow, Tier 14!)

(Rank 3, Lilith Holystar, Tier 14!)

(Rank 4, Enzo Holystar, Tier 13!)

(Rank 5, William Anderson, Tier 13!)

He had reached first place, and at least within this kingdom, it seemed unlikely that anyone could match his rank.

He then noticed the astonished gazes of everyone, as if wondering whether he was still human or some being that had descended from the heavens.

"Sister Lisa, let's go!" Richard was too lazy to linger in the Monster World. He just wanted to leave.

When he took a step, the path immediately cleared for him.

No one dared to be the reason his way was blocked.

His talent was too overwhelming; people feared his background was equally as terrifying.

If that were the case, wouldn't it mean he could run rampant, whether in the skies or on the ground?

But unexpectedly for Richard, someone still stepped in to block his way—the man in the black robe from earlier.

"Boy!" the man called out before Richard even stopped walking.

"What?" Richard immediately responded as he halted.

Of course, he was somewhat wary of him.

The Dark Star Legion was not worth mentioning, but apparently, it was a force controlled by the Order of the Crimson Veil.

Dealing with that faction, Richard was concerned it would become troublesome.

"Come with me, someone important wants to meet you," the man replied.

"Someone important? Who?" Richard couldn't help but ask.

"Don't ask too many questions."

Richard: "..."

Without saying anything further, Richard continued walking, too lazy to keep talking.

He did not put this man in his eyes. If he advanced his Realm to Life Aether, he was confident he could beat him.

It was just that this man seemed to carry himself with great arrogance.

"Boy!" How could the man not be angry at being ignored?

However, before he could do anything to stop him, a beautiful woman suddenly appeared at Richard's side.

Her sudden appearance caused an uproar, for her beauty enchanted every eye that fell upon her.

She was so graceful in her long blue gown, her blonde hair elegantly tied up.

The bright star-diamond necklace at her neck only enhanced her charm, making gazing at her feel as dazzling as staring at the sun.

"Your Highness!"

"Your Highness Lilith!"

Those who recognized her quickly bowed, and even for those seeing her for the first time, her name was enough for them to realize who she was.

They too bowed respectfully, carefully controlling their gazes so as not to appear improper.

Chapter 96: World Realm

The man in the black robe instinctively took a step back when he saw Lilith.

And the latter smirked at him.

"Have you become a tyrant now, Austin?" she said with a soft chuckle.

"Your Highness!" The man immediately greeted Lilith with respect.

"Richard is my friend, you'd better not try anything strange with him," Lilith said.

Hearing that, the man glanced back at Richard, his expression difficult to control.

However, in front of Lilith, he clearly didn't dare to argue.

He could only nod before leaving.

Richard drew even more attention.

Being friends with the princess at the very least showed that he was not someone who could be oppressed by just anyone.

Lilith gestured for Richard and Lisa to follow her, and they did.

"Boy, you really know how to stir up trouble," Lilith said to Richard.

"I only followed the challenge," Richard replied casually.

"Sister Lilith, who was that man?" he then asked.

"First, remember not to call me that in the capital. Call me 'Your Highness' like everyone else, or you'll face punishment from the Kingdom."

Richard: "..."

Hearing her words, Richard could only fall silent.

Considering they were already familiar with each other and he was used to calling her sister, it felt awkward for him to suddenly call her Your Highness.

"But boy, you really didn't hold back," Lilith continued.

"The power you revealed—too many precious things were shown. Not to mention, there's news you inherited the legacy of the Dragon Knight. Many forces will definitely target you because of this. How will you handle it? Just so you know, if this involves outsiders, it's hard to say anyone in this kingdom could protect you."

Richard, of course, understood that he was in trouble.

However, everything had already happened. Even if he went back to the past, he would still do the same thing.

And he didn't say anything in response, so Lilith, waiting for an answer, simply rolled her eyes.

Sou! Sou! Sou!

Suddenly, a group of Sky Armor Knights on horseback arrived.

They wore armor covering them from head to face, not removing it even when not in battle.

In front of Lilith, they dismounted from their horses.

"Your Highness!" They all greeted Lilith, and then their captain said, "Your Highness, the King wants you to bring Richard to the palace. The King wishes to hand him the city certificate."

The captain's words slightly surprised Richard. It seemed everything he had done couldn't escape the King's eyes—even though barely ten minutes had passed.

"Well, boy, do you want to go to the palace now?" Lilith asked Richard.

"Of course!" Richard nodded.

He was somewhat curious about the palace, and naturally, he wouldn't reject a city being granted to him.

He just didn't know where that city would be located.

For that, he didn't expect too much.

After Richard nodded, the knight captain suddenly pulled out a large silver carriage adorned with a star emblem.

Two knights then harnessed horses to the carriage.

"Get in," Lilith said to Richard.

She boarded the carriage first.

Following behind her, Richard was left astonished by its interior—far too luxurious.

Though closed off, the inside was lit by crystal lamps, furnished with two sofas facing each other, and between them stood a small table complete with a variety of fruits.

Richard sat on the back sofa with Lisa beside him, while Lilith sat opposite them, crossing her long snow-white legs.

As he sat, Richard was preoccupied with his own thoughts, so he wasn't distracted by Lilith's rather tempting posture.

His eyes fell on his statistics, realizing it was better for him to advance right now to be more prepared for whatever sudden challenges might come.

He only needed two Aether, and he could even absorb them himself.

Lilith seemed like she wanted to speak again, but Richard had already begun absorbing Aether.

In this city, the time he needed to absorb two Aether was astonishingly short.

[Aether: 10,000/10,000 ] +2

[Aether Accumulation: 15,000 ]

DING!

(You have successfully accumulated 10,000 Aether and possess a complete Aether Framework, allowing evolution for your Aether!)

Richard received the notification, and transformation immediately began within his body.

All of his Aether trembled violently, yet his body itself remained calm, only starting to exude a more oppressive aura.

Lilith raised her eyebrows as she watched, while Lisa began to struggle to breathe.

Sitting beside Richard, she was unintentionally suppressed by the aura.

Lilith quickly released her own power to envelop Richard's body, preventing the aura from spreading further.

(Status:)

[Name: Richard]

[Magic Realm: Life Aether]

[Aether: 0/20,000 ]

[Aether Accumulation: 15,000 ]

[Soul: Black Heart Soul]

[Black Heart Hidden Power: 10,000/25,000]

Richard's statistics had changed, though the process itself was still ongoing.

His Aether began to live within his body. They were still bound to him, but controlling them no longer required constant effort. He only needed to give orders, and they knew what to do.

It was much simpler.

Of course, Life Aether was three times stronger than ordinary Aether.

Even though he had only gained two Aether, the increase in his strength was drastic—as though his Aether had tripled.

If he were to fight the Primordial Demon again, he could practically defeat it with a single strike.

'I might already be close to most Peak Life Aether Magi,' Richard thought.

With no overwhelming phenomenon marking his advancement, he remained calm, as though nothing had happened.

However, when he opened his eyes and looked at Lilith, he found her gaze complicated.

Who knew what she was thinking?

Perhaps, for her, it was simply too hard to believe—that a boy could reach the Life Aether Realm.

DING!

(To advance to the next Realm, the World Realm, you must not only accumulate Aether but also become one with the world!)

Richard received another notification from the System.

This time, he slightly furrowed his brows, even though he already knew this was the requirement to advance to the next realm.

Becoming one with the world meant that afterward, a person was no longer just a being living upon it.

They would be part of the world itself.

This was a truly monumental transformation.

By becoming part of the world, one's power reached a completely different level—an overwhelmingly immense level.

One could fly or live within water. In fact, there would no longer be a need for air or even food. Even sleep would no longer matter, as long as energy remained within the body.

But how exactly did one become one with the world?

It was something extremely complex, requiring a deep understanding of both oneself and the world.

The difficulty was unimaginable. Countless geniuses were ultimately trapped for decades in the Life Aether Realm, unable to become one with the world.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC97: Meet the King

Chapter 97: Meet the King

Of course, Richard could not claim he could become one with the world in a short time.

He didn't know whether the System would help him in this matter, but this was probably the same as gathering the Aether Bones—he would have to struggle on his own, since it wasn't something included in the System's statistics.

For Richard, who wasn't even accustomed to using his own talents, he truly had no confidence.

If he were to be stuck in this Realm forever, then he would become the laughingstock of the entire world.

He looked at Lilith again and gave her a faint smile.

"Boy, don't get too full of yourself yet. Your path is still long, and right now I can still cripple you with a single move," Lilith said.

Perhaps she took Richard's smile as arrogance.

But Richard simply kept smiling.

At least for now, the world was still spinning around him—why shouldn't he be proud?

Casually, he picked up an apple from the table and bit into it.

It turned out to be incredibly sweet, filled with thick, rich juice.

It was the most delicious apple he had ever eaten.

By the time he finished the apple, the carriage finally came to a halt.

"Let's go!"

Lilith waved her hand and stepped out first.

When Richard followed her out of the carriage, he was slightly surprised to see that the ground below was covered in neatly trimmed grass—like a soccer field.

Then he was left in awe as his eyes fell on the massive silver palace not far ahead, the same one he had seen the previous night from inside the Flying Magic Vehicle.

From a distance, it looked grand, but from up close, Richard could only say the palace was beyond massive.

It had hundreds of huge gates, each guarded by tall and imposing Sky Armor Knights.

In the courtyard, Richard saw all kinds of horses—white ones, red ones, and even some with wings.

They weren't fed grass, but rather fruits like grapes and apples.

They were tended by beautiful women with gentle demeanors.

Richard doubted those horses could ever be used in battle. They were likely only for decoration, befitting the grandeur of the palace.

Lilith led Richard toward the main entrance of the palace, where an elderly servant with neatly combed white hair, still quite handsome despite his age, was waiting.

"Your Highness Lilith!" The old servant greeted respectfully.

He looked at Richard and gave him a smile along with a light nod.

"Your Highness, the King is waiting in the palace hall. Please, enter," he said.

Lilith said nothing and simply continued forward.

Even Lisa, who was an old friend of Lilith's, was clearly entering the palace for the very first time. She couldn't stop looking around at its splendor, gazing up and down in awe.

The marble floors seemed as though they were made of glass, and countless crystals lined the walls in the shape of constellations.

They passed through the entrance and arrived in the hall.

But the hall was not as large as Richard had imagined. It stretched about fifty meters in length and twenty-five in width.

Though not massive, it was extremely tall.

A giant star-shaped crystal hung from the ceiling, illuminating the entire hall so brightly that windows were unnecessary.

Richard couldn't help but wonder how the palace was divided into rooms if the main hall was this size, despite the overall building being so colossal.

His gaze quickly fell upon the grand throne at the far end of the hall.

Seated there was a middle-aged man with blond hair, radiating authority.

His presence was imposing, with sharp eyes that seemed to blink rarely.

Yet his clothing wasn't extravagant. He wore no crown, only a plain white robe embroidered with a few star patterns.

This was undoubtedly the King of the Holy Star Kingdom, Enzo Holystar.

Of course, he had not attained his position simply by being the son of the previous king.

He had many brothers, each one a rival.

In the end, it was he who claimed the throne. That fact alone proved he was stronger than all his brothers.

And he was not alone.

Richard saw a stunningly beautiful, middle-aged woman with curly red hair standing beside him, accompanied by a young boy of seven or eight years with the same red hair.

They stood beside the King's throne.

'The Red Star Empress!' Richard guessed her identity.

She, too, was a member of the royal family.

The King may have had many women, but she was the only official queen. She wielded great influence in the kingdom, her power nearly equal to her husband's.

Richard glanced at Lilith, curious to see her reaction upon meeting them.

But, to his surprise, she seemed relaxed.

He had thought she might hold a grudge, considering she had been cast out as a child and forced to grow up far from the capital.

Richard knew it was impossible that the King and Empress hadn't played a part in that.

Then he turned his attention to the red-haired boy.

He was the same age as Richard, and so Richard suspected he was the little prince Lilith wanted dead.

Though still young, Richard realized the boy was already in the Aether Will Realm, though likely only at the beginning stage.

This meant he was of high talent.

For the kingdom, filling his Aether would not be difficult. The true challenge would be mastering a Codex—especially if it was a Tier 3 Codex.

Aside from his realm, there wasn't much else unusual about the boy. His eyes still held innocence, and he simply looked curious as he gazed at Richard, another boy of his age.

Unlike Grace, who had been harshly trained, this boy was clearly raised gently.

"Greetings, Your Majesty the King, Your Majesty the Empress!"

Lisa suddenly gave a respectful bow, placing a hand over her chest—something expected of every subject in the kingdom.

Richard was a bit late to realize he was supposed to do the same unless he wanted to be branded rebellious.

"Greetings, Your Majesty," he also said softly, mimicking Lisa's gesture.

Both the King and the Empress studied him from head to toe, then from the bottom back up again.

They even seemed to examine his fingers and toes.

Their curiosity toward him was far too obvious.

Richard couldn't help but feel like some rare beast under their gaze.

"So, you are Richard. But is Richard your only name?" the King finally spoke.

His voice carried such authority that Richard felt an instinctive urge to kneel.

It was clearly pure, without any magical force behind it. Perhaps years of commanding others had imbued his voice with majesty of its own.

Richard drew in a deep breath to steady himself before nodding.

"Yes, I am Richard, and that is my only name, as I grew up in an orphanage," he replied.

Chapter 98: Snow Sky City

"Father, Richard can be considered half my disciple. I hope you grant him a good city..." Lilith suddenly spoke right after Richard had finished.

Her tone was casual, yet it also showed that not even the King could pressure her.

Since she had changed the topic so abruptly, Richard thought she might be signaling the King not to ask too many questions.

"Very well," the King replied without hesitation. "I will allow him to choose from among the list of cities that have been prepared as rewards."

After saying that, the King waved to the old servant who had welcomed them earlier and had followed them into the hall.

"Sir Richard, there are five cities you may choose from. While none of them are provincial capitals, their scale is equal to such cities. Please, take a look," the old servant said.

He simply removed the seal from his ring, and light shone out, forming an energy screen that displayed images of five great cities.

One city was surrounded by forest. Another was an icy city where snow fell without end. There was a city atop a desert, one by the sea, and even one surrounded by many volcanoes, where the city's rivers mixed with flowing magma.

"Sir Richard, the tax revenue from these cities generates Nature Spirits no less than the provincial capitals. They also lie along heavily traveled routes, so they are always bustling," the old servant continued.

"Why are they all border cities?" Lilith asked, surprising Richard.

But the old servant calmly explained, "Your Highness Lilith, ever since the Monster World was formed, it was these cities that were prepared. Even to this day, they do not have official rulers—only palace representatives temporarily assigned to govern them."

After saying that, the old servant turned his gaze back to Richard.

"Sir Richard, border cities are indeed prone to conflict, but they also have their advantages. For example, the soldiers stationed there are stronger. They have all been indoctrinated to be absolutely loyal and obedient to the commands of the kingdom. Of course, in those cities, they obey the city lord. If conflicts with surrounding regions arise, the spoils of war are handed to the city's ruler. Normally, these spoils are sent to the kingdom, but since you will become the absolute ruler of one of these cities, the spoils will belong to you. This is a great benefit, one that other city lords can only dream of."

Richard nodded at those words, not seeing the idea of ruling a border city as a bad thing.

"Which city faces conflict the most often?" he asked.

"Snow Sky City," the old servant replied, pointing to the city blanketed in eternal snow.

"It borders the Ancient Ice Region. That land has no kingdoms, but many barbarian tribes who frequently raid our kingdom."

"Very well, then I will choose Snow Sky City..." Richard decided.

He didn't deliberate much over the choice.

All he wanted was a place where he could wield his strength once he arrived—so naturally, he chose the city that faced conflict most often.

"Very well..." The old servant seemed slightly surprised at Richard's decision.

After that, he took out a document written on golden parchment, wrote down the name Snow Sky City, and handed it to Richard.

"This is the King's decree. You need only show this to the soldiers in Snow Sky City. Of course, before you arrive, we will also send word to inform them that you are to be their new ruler," the old servant explained.

Richard accepted the golden decree, reading it briefly before nodding.

It was not something that could be forged, for it carried the faint aura of the royal family.

"Thank you," he said, moving the document into his Storage Artifact.

"There is no need to thank me—thank the King," the old servant replied.

However, when Richard looked toward the King, the latter shook his head.

"No need, no need. This is your rightful due. The laws of the kingdom already stipulate this reward, and you have qualified to receive it. Not even I could prevent you from obtaining it," the King said.

"Since it's settled, Richard, let's go!" Lilith spoke again.

After saying that, she took Richard's hand, pulling him forward so that his steps moved on their own.

"Your Majesty, excuse me!" Richard, of course, could not leave the palace without saying something to the King.

By now, he was keenly aware that even though Lilith seemed cordial toward her father, things might not be so simple. Perhaps there was hidden enmity between them.

Lilith's pace was even faster as she left the palace.

Naturally, Lisa only followed quietly. She had no stake in these matters. Aside from paying her respects to the King and Queen, she remained silent.

Once they reached the palace courtyard, Lilith immediately ushered them into the carriage and ordered a soldier to act as coachman.

"Where are you staying?" Lilith asked Richard.

"We rented an inn," Richard replied.

With a bit of explanation, it was easy enough for Lilith to know the way to the inn.

"I still have matters to attend to, so you'd best not wander around. You should be safe at the inn," Lilith said once they arrived.

Richard simply nodded.

"Lisa, come with me," Lilith added, startling Lisa.

"What? Where?" she asked in confusion, not expecting to be taken away while Richard was left at the inn.

"To handle some matters. It will also make you stronger," Lilith replied.

Naturally, Lisa became curious at those words.

But she also hesitated.

"Richard, will you be fine on your own at the inn?" she asked.

"What are you worried about, Sister? I'm far stronger than you," Richard replied.

He had plans to once again absorb power from the Black Heart of the Dragon Knight—of course he wanted solitude.

Lisa felt a little embarrassed at Richard's words, while Lilith merely shook her head.

"This boy is not easily suppressed. Don't worry too much," Lilith said.

Lisa unconsciously nodded.

In the end, only Richard got out of the carriage.

He even leapt straight through the window into his room at the inn.

With his current strength, it was truly easy to jump dozens of meters high.

Lilith glanced at Richard briefly through the carriage's window before instructing the coachman to drive them away.

On the other hand, Lisa grew increasingly curious about their destination, her eyes fixed on Lilith.

Unfortunately, Lilith did not seem inclined to reveal their purpose just yet.

And if she didn't want to speak, Lisa couldn't force her.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC99: Wings

Chapter 99: Wings

Richard entered the Dragon Hall and touched the Black Heart in the mouth of the dragon statue.

Just like before, he could still absorb the energy within the heart, which made him smile, a little worried it might fail.

Since it worked, of course it brought him joy.

Reaching 25,000, naturally, would not be difficult.

[Black Heart Hidden Power: 25,000/25,000]

In a short time, his Black Heart was already filled with energy, so he could no longer absorb any more.

Although he didn't feel an increase in power since he hadn't activated the heart's strength, he was certainly aware that he had become about twice as strong.

After that, he relaxed in the Dragon Hall, checking the ring that contained his rewards.

There were four items inside it: a black sword that seemed to be made of light rather than material.

He drew the sword out, immediately sensing its overwhelming power.

Its function was similar to his golden sword, except this one was on a completely different level in terms of sharpness.

Naturally, it suited him now that his strength had also increased drastically.

Still, the one that caught his attention the most was the Power Silver Ring.

It had the effect of increasing strength up to the Fourth Realm.

Since the number was 10%, it would raise his power by 10%. Though not as great as the Black Heart, it was still something priceless.

Richard took out the ring. Its design looked plain, but when he wore it and activated it, he immediately felt a surge of strength that left him astonished.

"Amazing, amazing," he muttered, smiling with satisfaction.

After that, the Dark Black Rose appeared in his hand.

"I didn't expect to obtain it again," Richard thought.

Using it a second time, its effects might be halved, but it was still extremely useful to him.

Moreover, if he touched the Dragon Statue in the Dragon Hall, he might still be able to raise his mastery of the Codex of Dragon Emperor to a much higher level.

Without further thought, he approached the statue, sat leaning against it, and began burning the Dark Black Rose, inhaling the smoke.

In an instant, he lost consciousness.

He wasn't even aware of how long he had been out.

What he did know was that when he woke up, night had already fallen.

Nothing seemed different except that he felt more at ease.

His eyes quickly moved to his stats.

Codex of Dragon Emperor (50%)

When he saw the number 50%, his back immediately straightened.

He looked at the Innate Arcane Arts of the codex.

[Innate Arcane Arts from the Codex of Dragon Emperor:

Dragon's Roar

Dragon's Wings

Dragon Transformation (Locked)]

"They finally unlocked!"

His eyes gleamed as he stared at Dragon's Wings.

What did this mean?

It meant that now he could also fly. Even if he advanced to the next Realm, the World Realm, dragon wings were still extremely useful since every flap could be used to destroy.

Dragon wings might not be the fastest, but they were undoubtedly the strongest.

When he focused his mind, he immediately sensed the presence of the wings within his body.

Whoosh!

A pair of black wings covered in scales sprouted from his back. Each one was even larger than his own body, spanning more than two meters wide. They would likely grow larger as he matured.

And they were like his own arms and legs—he could move them freely.

He flapped them casually, instantly generating a powerful gust of wind.

But the most fascinating part was that his body began to rise into the air.

At first, he felt awkward, but he quickly adapted.

As long as he kept flapping his wings, he could truly continue flying.

The only odd thing was the sheer force of the wind his wings produced. Even when flapping slowly, the gust was still too powerful.

Basically, if he were inside a city, he could send houses flying even while flying leisurely.

"If I can become a full dragon, what would that be like?"

---

After a while, Richard returned to his room and took a bath to refresh himself.

He put on a casual robe before heading to the balcony, ordering food and drinks for dinner.

At night like this, the balcony was empty, with only him and the guards standing watch.

He could enjoy his dinner in peace without disturbance.

But soon after, he saw Gray and Laura returning to the inn, both looking completely drunk, struggling to even walk as they leaned on each other.

"They still have time to fool around... I think this guy will lose badly," Richard thought.

He grew pessimistic about Gray's performance in the tournament.

But since they were on a different floor, he didn't see them again once they entered the inn.

"Maybe tonight, I'll just sleep," Richard thought.

He didn't feel like doing anything else.

DING!

(Aether has increased from 0 to 13!)

Richard suddenly received a notification, slightly surprised since the System rarely increased his Aether anymore.

He was pleased and checked his Aether Bottle.

It had originally contained 27 Aether, and now it was 40 thanks to the System's addition.

Naturally, he drank it right away.

[Aether: 40/20,000 ] +40

[Aether Accumulation: 15,040 ]

"Finally, an increase again."

Richard felt satisfied since this was the first rise in his Aether since advancing to the Life Aether Realm.

Of course, there was still a long way to go before reaching 20,000.

After finishing dinner, Richard went back to his room and lay down on the bed, leaving the window open.

He didn't rush to sleep, but first spread his waves. Starting with the inn.

His goal was to observe the people keeping an eye on him.

However, he couldn't help being stunned when he sensed Gray and Laura in the room directly below his, already in doggy style, moving wildly.

Though he didn't see it directly, Richard was left breathless as he felt their movements.

Unfortunately, he couldn't use his Sixth Sense inside the inn since each room was protected by a magic formation that blocked it. He could only rely on his waves.

"The daughter of the Nine-Star Province's Governor... I didn't expect her to be this lustful," he thought.

He kept observing since his waves were still spreading.

Now their position changed. The two sat embracing each other, moving their hips fiercely.

They were completely consumed by desire.

Richard found it hard to focus, his observation of the surroundings turning messy.

In the end, he decided to stop and sleep right away, lamenting the reality that he was still a child.

If only he were already grown up, it wouldn't be difficult for him to enjoy a woman.

He might even be able to do it with Lilith, considering she wanted him to become her lover when he grew older.

Compared to Lilith, Laura wasn't even worth mentioning.

Fortunately, Richard was able to fall asleep easily that night.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC100: Invitation

Chapter 100: Invitation

Tonight, Richard slept very soundly.

Even so, he woke up quite early, finding his body feeling very light.

Phew!

He sat up and let out a breath.

Crack! Crack!

He then stretched his body and his bones creaked loudly.

Of course, the next thing he did was spread his waves again.

Gray and Laura were still fast asleep, embracing each other as if they could not be separated.

Just like that no longer bothered Richard. He could focus on observing the people who were watching him.

This morning, he found even more people who seemed to be keeping an eye on his room.

After all, his window was open, and as he sat there, his figure could be directly seen by the people outside who were seriously observing him.

Richard simply pretended not to notice, casually standing in front of that window, but his waves continued to spread.

He even pushed them further, to the limit he could reach, and in fact he could reach almost two-thirds of the city.

"Ohhh..." Suddenly, his expression turned strange.

On the river bridge encircling the city, he spotted a very familiar figure he knew well — Olivia.

She was walking with people whose heads were covered by hoods, but what she wore was not the Phantom Robe, just an ordinary cloak.

'Is she also planning to watch the tournament?' Richard wondered.

Of course, he didn't really care about her.

If this time she dared to misbehave again, he would beat her up immediately.

Richard began thinking about what activities he would do today.

His enthusiasm for training was not very high since the distance from actual progress was still far.

He preferred to do activities, and better if they were ones that could bring him benefits, such as fighting in the Monster World.

Though he had not yet decided, he first took a bath, then put on fairly comfortable clothes before leaving his room.

After that, he went down to the first floor, greeted warmly by the servants.

He then went to one of the restaurants not far from the inn.

Even the waiters of that restaurant seemed to know who he was. They greeted him warmly, invited him to sit at the best seat, and also gave him free food, saying it was a gift from their boss who admired his talent.

Of course, he did not refuse since it was given.

He ordered roasted lamb and sweet warm tea from them.

And they brought it to him quickly.

The lamb was even cut into small pieces so he only needed to eat it with a fork.

It had a mixture of sweet and salty, plus very savory. Richard could taste many layers of spices blending together.

'A beautiful breakfast. I hope no one suddenly shows up and sits in front of me spouting nonsense,' he thought.

He only wanted to be alone without any disturbance.

If someone disturbed him, who knew whether he could be patient enough not to scold that person.

To his surprise, someone really did come, a neatly dressed man in his twenties.

However, he didn't sit down.

He only placed a silver paper that looked like an invitation on Richard's table.

"Young Master Richard, tonight our Golden Leaf Auction House will hold an auction, and we invite you to attend. For you, we will give a 25% discount on every item you bid on," the man said.

"Ohh..."

Richard certainly wasn't angry since this couldn't be considered a disturbance.

He took the invitation and looked at it, finding that it even contained special words and the promise of a 25% discount.

Though he had never heard of the Golden Leaf Auction House, just from the invitation that bore a symbol radiating such a powerful aura, he couldn't help but suspect that this Auction House might be the biggest in the capital.

In the capital, the largest businesses tended to belong either to the kingdom itself or to outside enterprises with extremely wide networks.

Since this Auction House did not use the word "star," it was clearly not owned by the kingdom.

It could only be an outside business.

And businesses that reached many territories could only belong to very powerful factions or individuals who were feared.

Richard began nodding.

"I will come," he said.

What he lacked the least was Nature Spirits. Of course, he wanted to use them to buy something.

"In that case, I will take my leave first, Young Master Richard. We look forward greatly to your arrival," the man said before walking away.

'Right before the tournament, this must be a major auction,' Richard thought.

He put the invitation away then continued eating.

One plate was finished quickly, and surprisingly he wasn't satisfied. He eventually ordered another plate of roasted lamb.

After that, he still lingered in the restaurant, enjoying his warm tea.

One hour, two hours, he didn't feel bored sitting there watching people pass by.

Unexpectedly, Gray and Laura suddenly appeared at the restaurant entrance, looking like they had just finished bathing and were here for breakfast.

They were wearing their academy uniforms, clearly to show their identity.

If one observed closely, their legs looked tired as they walked. Clearly this morning too, they had indulged themselves again.

As they looked into the restaurant, they naturally saw Richard, making them freeze for a moment.

Gray then smiled before happily walking toward him.

"Richard, I didn't expect we'd meet here. Back in Apple Town, I still wasn't sure whether the person entering that secret place was you, but here, I heard something even more shocking. You're truly the greatest maker of surprises I've ever met," he said.

Laura, who followed behind, did not speak, but her gaze looked unsettled, as if she still couldn't believe that this boy was the one she once kidnapped.

"May we sit here?" asked Gray.

"Yes," Richard answered, not feeling particularly bothered.

They were acquaintances, after all, and Gray didn't have a personality he disliked.

Gray immediately sat down, pulling Laura's hand to sit beside him.

After that, he began ordering food, even offering Richard some, but the latter told him that he could eat for free in this restaurant, leaving Gray speechless.

"By the way, Richard, tonight there's going to be a big auction. I got an invitation as a tournament participant and can bring a few friends. Are you interested in coming along?" Gray asked again.

"You're not talking about this invitation, are you?" Richard replied while showing his invitation, once again leaving Gray speechless.

On the other hand, Laura showed an expression of amazement as she read the words on the invitation.

"You're getting a 25% discount from them? Seriously, is this real?" she said.

"That's what they told me..." Richard nodded.

"By the way, what's the background of this auction house?" he asked Laura.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC101: Ancient Sovereign

Chapter 101: Ancient Sovereign

"The Golden Leaf Auction House doesn't belong to any faction. It is owned by a powerful figure from the Ancient Era who is still alive even now," Laura replied.

"From the Ancient Era, yet still alive until now?" Richard was somewhat astonished.

He knew this world had two great eras: the Ancient Era and the Grand Magic Era.

Overall, they were still part of the same epoch, but the Ancient Era was a time when magic was far less abundant than it was now.

At that time, Codices and Arcane Arts were monopolized by only a few parties, so most people couldn't practice magic at all.

That era lasted for thousands of years before eventually entering the Grand Magic Era, when Codices and Arcane Arts spread everywhere.

And the Grand Magic Era itself had lasted for tens of thousands of years, so the gap between the Ancient Era and the Grand Magic Era was truly vast.

For someone to still be alive until now—just how powerful was that person?

"I don't know much about this individual," Laura continued. "What I do know is that he rarely appears, and his business is managed by his disciples."

'Perhaps an Ancient Sovereign,' Richard thought.

If a Ruler obtained World Magic Aether, then they would become a Grand Sovereign.

If not, they could still further develop their power by becoming an Ancient Sovereign.

Of course, the difference in power between a Grand Sovereign and an Ancient Sovereign was enormous.

But it was said that the older an Ancient Sovereign became, the stronger they grew—so much so that legends claimed some Ancient Sovereigns could at least endure against a Grand Sovereign.

An Ancient Sovereign who had lived since the Ancient Era—their strength couldn't possibly be average among Sovereigns.

"This seems to be a very large business," Richard said with a sigh.

"Of course. There's no auction house greater than this one," Laura replied. "In this kingdom, only the capital is qualified to host the Golden Leaf Auction House. Richard, it's extremely rare for them to give such a large discount. For them to grant you up to 25%, you must be highly valued."

Richard didn't show any expression upon hearing that he was valued by the auction house.

Without knowing them well, how could he be sure of their intentions?

Of course, this discount was still something he could use to his advantage.

While he remained silent, he suddenly saw a group of youths approach, led by a young man with slightly curly long hair, handsome and domineering in appearance.

He glared at Gray and Laura with a sour expression, and a suppressive aura radiated from his body.

Gray and Laura looked displeased upon seeing him. Laura even seemed worried.

Richard quickly stood up and walked away, uninterested in being involved in their conflict.

That young man was too focused on Gray and Laura to notice him at all.

When Richard was far enough, he heard the man challenge Gray to a fight to the death.

The issue apparently stemmed from the fact that this man was Laura's original fiancé, arranged by their fathers.

From the surrounding people, Richard learned that the man was the governor's son from the Eleventh Star Province.

This was truly none of his business, so he didn't want to be seen in the slightest.

He strolled on his own, descending one hill and climbing another in the city just for sightseeing.

Eventually, he arrived at the place where the tournament would be held.

It wasn't an open colosseum like the one in Night Valley City. Instead, it was enclosed, like a soccer stadium on Earth.

However, its size was twenty times larger than the colosseum in Night Valley City. It even stood up to eighty meters tall.

Even now, the colosseum was already bustling with people eager to take a look in advance.

Richard noticed quite a few people selling tickets. Apparently, spectating wasn't free.

Each ticket was being sold for 100 Nature Spirits.

And the final match tickets were sold for 500 Nature Spirits.

Richard was rather interested in going inside to take a look, but each entrance was guarded by several soldiers.

He wondered if he would be allowed in.

Considering he was well known and close to Lilith, the princess of the kingdom, it would be strange if he didn't receive special privilege.

He walked up to one of the entrances, drawing the soldiers' stares.

"May I go inside?" Richard asked directly before any of the soldiers could speak.

Instead of getting angry, the soldiers glanced at each other.

It seemed they had already recognized his face.

Suddenly, Richard noticed the captain of the guards at his post signaling the soldiers to let him through.

Since the captain permitted it, the soldiers immediately allowed him entry.

Richard stepped into the colosseum, feeling it truly resembled a soccer stadium back on Earth.

Inside, he saw many large stairways leading to higher floors.

He chose to stay on that level, walking down its corridor.

At the end of the corridor, he finally saw the sheer scale of the arena.

And in truth, he was not on the lowest floor—there were still three more levels beneath him.

This colosseum also had seating that extended underground, surrounding the massive field, which was about four times the size of a soccer field.

To Richard, the field was too small for battles between Magi in the Life Aether Realm.

Perhaps their attack range wouldn't reach beyond the arena, but with their swift movements, they practically couldn't run as freely as they wished. It could be said the field restricted their movement.

But ultimately, the arena was designed for a tournament that sought to crown a victor.

If someone could run freely, it would take far too long to determine a winner.

Richard began walking around the stands, finding several workers doing cleaning or repairs.

The ticket price was clearly not an issue, as the seats in this colosseum looked big enough for one person.

'But... what exactly is that?'

Richard wondered as he stared at the field.

Because his affinity with the Earth Element had reached ninety percent, he could sense something through the surrounding ground.

He could feel that deep beneath the arena floor, perhaps about three kilometers down, there was a massive hollow cavity.

If he hadn't reached the Life Aether Realm, he wouldn't have sensed it at all, since the distance was far too deep underground.

Although he didn't feel any particular aura from the cavity below, it was hard for him not to be curious—especially after hearing the rumor of a giant corpse lying beneath the capital.

What if that hollow was the passage leading to the corpse's location?

Of course, Richard didn't dare investigate recklessly just out of curiosity.

Who knew what kind of danger might be waiting for him there?

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC102: Attack

Chapter 102: Attack

Richard chose to sit in one of the seats, appearing silent, but he sent a Mind Attack toward a worker who happened to pass by.

"Have you ever heard about a hole beneath this colosseum?" Richard directly questioned the worker.

"A hole? What hole?" The worker looked confused, so Richard shook his head and waved his hand for him to leave before releasing the Mind Attack.

'Maybe ordinary people know nothing about that hole. It must be a royal secret,' he thought.

After that, he continued strolling around the colosseum, simply enjoying the moment, but his brows knitted when he once again saw the man in the black robe—Austin—watching him from the highest stands.

But this time, he wasn't alone.

He was with a young man, appearing less than twenty years old, with extremely dark black hair and slightly brown skin, carrying a sword on his back that radiated a sharp aura.

Austin was actually standing slightly behind the young man, indicating the latter's higher status.

'I guess I should give them a lesson,' Richard thought.

In his hand, a golden coin appeared—the Ignis Volt Core.

He gripped it as his body suddenly released a massive amount of clouds, directly enveloping the entire colosseum.

This was a weak-type ability, its natural range dozens to hundreds of times wider than ordinary attacks, especially with his affinity reaching ninety percent.

Richard only used it as a distraction, while his hand aimed the Ignis Volt Core at the black-haired young man beside Austin, channeling an immense amount of fire and lightning before firing it as a laser.

The laser produced was naturally different from the last time he had used it.

It moved as fast as the light it emitted, seeming to pierce through space and time itself. Its heat even melted the air around it.

The clouds Richard had released split apart, but it was already too late for the black-haired youth.

The laser pierced his chest, right through the heart, his eyes widening only to lose their light in the same instant.

And Austin appeared no less than shocked, panicked, and terrified.

'Did he die?' Richard was also stunned.

Of course, he knew that young man wasn't that strong—at most equal to Austin. He might have been a genius, but he was still clearly young, probably one of the tournament participants.

Yet, killed with a single strike—Richard found it hard to believe.

After all, his intention wasn't to kill, only to teach a lesson, yet the other party died just like that.

BANG!

The young man finally collapsed with no blood spilling out, but he was clearly dead.

Austin grew even more terrified.

He glared at Richard, but the clouds that had opened up due to the force of the laser began to close again.

"Mm..." Richard was startled. He suddenly lost all trace of Austin.

The man seemed to vanish.

Even when Richard used his Sixth Sense, he couldn't find him. Only the corpse of the black-haired youth remained.

"Brat, how dare you!" Suddenly, he heard Austin's furious shout.

The clouds around him tore apart as a gust of wind surged, revealing a massive shadow appearing right beneath Richard's feet.

It seemed to bind Richard's shadow, and as a result, Richard couldn't move—as if his own body had been shackled.

From that shadow, Austin emerged, a curved blade in his hand.

But Richard only smiled at him.

BANG!

A tremendous wave erupted from Richard, striking Austin directly—not only his outer body but his insides as well.

He was flung violently, crashing into the stands until they cracked.

Fortunately, they were made of extremely hard stone, but slamming into such stone clearly caused Austin's body severe damage.

He immediately appeared unable to stand any longer.

"Stop! What do you think you're doing, fighting here!"

Richard heard another shout, and this time a gust of wind strong enough to scatter all of his clouds swept across the colosseum.

He saw soldiers arriving, led by a middle-aged man with a muscular build.

When the scenery was revealed, they could only be stunned upon seeing Richard with two men already collapsed.

Recognizing the two faces, they were even more shocked.

One was clearly dead—no trace of life could be sensed.

The soldiers and the muscular middle-aged man froze in place for quite a while.

At the same time, Richard stepped toward them.

"They disturbed me, so I fought back instinctively. I didn't expect them to be so weak, and I accidentally killed one of them," Richard said, not trying to make excuses, honestly admitting what had happened since everything was already obvious.

They really had disturbed him by tailing him so openly and watching him constantly.

In his own estimation, they had been planning to capture him.

Killing was forbidden, but if there was a justifiable reason, one could be absolved.

Of course, the law usually depended on strength.

With Lilith's support, Richard wasn't sure if he had an advantage against the two backers of those men, considering they were from the Dark Star Legion.

But he would face it for now.

Hearing his words, the soldiers froze even longer.

They seemed to need time to process everything.

"B-Brat, d-don't lie. We didn't do anything—you were the one who suddenly attacked."

Austin, unable to stand, suddenly forced himself to shout.

He looked extremely furious because Richard had called them weak.

That insult hurt his pride far more than the blows he had taken.

"Why wouldn't I attack if I was attacked? Are you saying only you're allowed to strike?" Richard replied, instantly making Austin's face flush red while his hands trembled.

"You! You!" he said, but struggled to speak further.

"Take them to headquarters!" The muscular middle-aged man then ordered the soldiers.

After that, he turned to Richard.

"Sir Richard, you must also come with us," he said in a soft tone, though his naturally rough voice didn't sound soft at all.

"But I'm not guilty..." Richard pretended to be innocent, unwilling to be taken.

"Even if you are not guilty, you still must come with us for investigation," the middle-aged man replied.

"But..." Richard began showing a panicked expression.

"Sir Richard, you can be assured—if you are innocent, you will not face any problems." The middle-aged man still tried to speak gently as he reassured Richard.

This time, Richard finally nodded.

"Alright, I will go," he said with a reluctant expression.

But just as he said that, another middle-aged man appeared in the sky, flying.

He had dark black hair and brown skin as well, resembling the young man who had just died.

When his eyes fell on the young man's corpse, his expression instantly turned pale.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC103: Make a Scene Again

Chapter 103: Make a Scene Again

"Commander Aldous, please calm yourself. We, the Sky Armor Legion, will handle this case fairly," said the muscular middle-aged man.

He seemed polite to the black-haired middle-aged man, but it was clear he showed no fear toward him—perhaps only respect for his position.

"How will this case be handled fairly when my son is already dead?" Aldous asked. "Paul, unless you're trying to say that the case will end with my son being at fault?"

"What if that's truly the case?" Paul replied, his voice somewhat low, yet still loud enough to be heard clearly.

"Cough!"

Richard coughed involuntarily, not expecting him to say such a thing.

Whether Paul was defending him or it was simply his personal conclusion, Richard wasn't sure.

What was certain was that Aldous's expression grew grim upon hearing it.

But Paul suddenly continued, his eyes narrowing. "Commander Aldous, whether you accept it or not, that's your problem. However, while inside the capital, you must forget about unlawful actions. We, the Sky Armor Legion, control the entire city formation's power, and there's hardly anyone we cannot suppress."

'Looks like I'll be safe as long as I stay inside the capital,' Richard thought after hearing Paul's words.

Of course, he felt confident about his own safety.

Now, not only did he have the Dragon Hall to hide in, but he also possessed a Flying Magic Vehicle for escape.

With the number of Nature Spirits he owned, it was hard to imagine anyone catching up with the speed of his Flying Magic Vehicle, since it could fly even faster if supplied with more Nature Spirits.

Still, it was better not to rely on those things and be able to move freely within the city.

With a dark expression, Aldous did not immediately respond.

Whoosh!

His son's corpse floated up into the air, reaching his hand. With a wave, he transferred it into his Storage Artifact, seemingly unable to look at it too long without being overcome by sorrow.

"There is no need for an investigation, then," he said coldly.

After that, he glared at Richard with burning intensity, his eyes full of hatred, before leaving.

'Why doesn't he want an investigation now? Is he embarrassed by the fact that his son died provoking someone who turned out to be stronger?'

Richard wore a strange expression as he watched the man leave, unfazed by his glare.

On the other hand, Austin looked stunned, as if he couldn't believe his superior would simply leave him behind.

"Ehmm..." Richard cleared his throat, noticing Paul frowning.

"Commander Paul, if the victim doesn't want an investigation, then there's no need for one, right?" Richard asked with an awkward smile.

He didn't know if Paul actually held the rank of commander, but out of politeness, there was no harm in addressing him as such.

In the provinces, perhaps there was only one commander, but in the capital, it wasn't strange for there to be many.

Richard truly hoped there would be no investigation. He was confident he would be in the right, but he preferred not to waste any unnecessary time.

Paul didn't immediately respond, as though he were thinking it over while staring in the direction Aldous had left.

After a while, he finally nodded.

"You'd better be careful. Aldous holds great influence within the Dark Star Legion. He's also an official member of the Order of the Crimson Veil. He might restrain himself within the city, but outside of it, he could kill you," Paul said.

Richard didn't care what kind of man Aldous was. He couldn't hide his delight when Paul nodded.

Laughing, he thanked him and left the coliseum, throwing a mocking glance at Austin as he went.

What he did next was simply wander around the city, though he wore the Ghost Robe for now.

Unexpectedly, the news of Aldous's son's death spread incredibly fast, as if someone had deliberately leaked it.

This was because the man Richard killed was a well-known figure.

His name was Noe, one of the young geniuses of the capital who was supposed to participate in the upcoming tournament.

In the capital, there were three representatives, as the capital alone was considered equivalent in prestige to nine provinces combined.

Though Noe was the weakest of the three, he was still regarded as exceptional.

Unfortunately, he had been accidentally killed by the boy who had recently stirred the capital.

Many people found it hard to believe, for after all, the boy was far too young.

But the fact remained. Those who spied on the Dark Star Legion confirmed that Noe was truly dead.

Once again, Richard became the center of attention, and there were even those who believed he could have won the tournament had he participated.

Now, people knew he had advanced into the Life Aether Realm and grown stronger, since breakthroughs practically always came with significant power increases.

That was proven by the fact that he had slain Noe.

Richard merely laughed when he overheard the various discussions about him.

After wandering for a while, he came upon a massive library filled with countless books.

He chose to stop by and read, expanding his knowledge of the world.

With his current strength, he could even read several books at once in a short span of time by relying on his Sixth Sense.

If he became even stronger—say, above the World Realm, reaching the Grimoire Realm—he might be able to read the entire library all at once.

He focused on books about the powerful figures of the Land of Humans, especially the Ancient Sovereigns recorded in history.

Their number turned out to be greater than he had expected.

Some of them were like his ancestor: Rulers who had failed to obtain World Magic Aether but survived and eventually grew stronger as time passed. Others were simply ordinary Rulers who reached that level through relentless cultivation.

Basically, Rulers with qualifications to compete for World Magic Aether, such as his ancestor or the Fire Spirit Queen, could more easily reach that level thanks to their already solid foundation.

Even within the Ruler Realm, they could actually contend with certain Ancient Sovereigns.

'Fortunately, my ancestor and the Fire Spirit Queen are still considered very powerful, especially if they've advanced into the Ancient Sovereign Realm,' Richard thought.

He couldn't help but sigh in relief, as he had started doubting whether his two backers were as strong as he believed.

But according to the information he read, they were indeed formidable.

Figures like them were rare, since most who competed for World Magic Aether failed to survive.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC104: Entering the Auction

Chapter 104: Entering the Auction

Richard continued reading in the library, even having lunch there by ordering from a restaurant across the street.

Besides books about powerful figures, he also read through the personal experiences of those figures in their cultivation of magic.

From the Aether Will Realm, Life Aether Realm, World Realm, Grimoire Realm, Lord Realm, and finally the Ruler Realm.

It seemed there were only six Realms, but the higher one climbed, the longer the process took, and the power of each stage became increasingly unimaginable.

For Richard, who needed to find his own way of becoming one with the world, the experiences of others were something he had to gather.

Understanding the world was easy enough—the difficult part was understanding oneself, and then uniting both.

This wasn't something one could ask about. It could only be discovered slowly, step by step. There was no magical shortcut that could directly help someone understand themselves.

When the sky began to darken, Richard finally stopped reading.

He stood up, stepped out of the library, and made his way directly toward the Golden Leaf Auction House.

He had a city map, so he could easily navigate his way there from the library.

The location was at the peak of a mountain—not too tall, nor too wide—but the entire mountaintop was reserved solely for the auction house.

The mountain itself was known as Golden Leaf Mountain.

Richard found that the mountain had staircase-like paths, easy enough for pedestrians to climb.

As he ascended, he saw many others, most of them looking like elite nobles—groups of young men or families led by middle-aged figures.

They came in extravagance, flaunting their wealth.

And they were not just wealthy. Richard could sense the strong auras radiating from each of them.

This auction clearly did not invite the wealthy—it invited the powerful.

At the top of the mountain, Richard saw a massive black building, its design nothing more than a cube, yet it appeared to be constructed of a special material, its glossy surface giving the impression it was indestructible.

It stood about fifty meters tall, but had only one entrance, a doorway roughly three meters high and wide.

And guarding that door were not humans, but human-shaped puppets made of wood.

They asked for invitations from each guest before allowing them to enter.

Richard didn't rush to go inside. He observed first. And he wasn't the only one wearing a Ghost Robe. There were quite a few of them—likely people intent on bidding for treasures.

Not long after his arrival, he spotted Gray and Laura. They seemed to have resolved their own issues, though Gray bore a scar on his cheek that seemed difficult to erase despite being healed.

Perhaps their problem hadn't escalated into a life-and-death battle as rumored, but it appeared Gray had emerged as the victor, since he was still healthy and with Laura.

As a tournament participant, Gray lacked no attention. Some nobles even greeted him, extending invitations to their homes.

Aside from Gray, Richard also saw other participants.

Most of them clearly hailed from great backgrounds—sons of governors or noble families—while only a few were like Gray, with no real background to speak of.

Overall, the participants were dominated by men, with only a handful of women.

Like Richard, many chose to linger outside first, rather than head straight into the auction hall.

Interestingly, a large eagle suddenly flew in from the direction of the capital's center, soaring directly toward the mountain peak.

Standing atop it was a young man of around twenty, with black hair and pale skin.

He was somewhat lean, but not in a frail way—his broad chest gave him a strong presence.

What was most striking about him, however, were his eyes. They were as sharp as an eagle's.

The combination of his piercing gaze and handsome face made many young women struggle to blink as they stared at him.

Despite wearing only an ordinary black robe, his noble aura was undeniable, especially as he was accompanied by two old men who looked far too ancient to still be alive—yet they radiated such oppressive power that people pretended not to notice them.

"Luca. He's here too. Seems like there's something he's after—otherwise he wouldn't bother showing up," someone said.

"Yeah, but considering his background, he should be able to obtain most things anyway. If he has to actually bid for it, then it must be something even the kingdom has trouble acquiring."

"I suppose it'll be difficult for anyone to compete with him. After all, didn't Duke Dasmond give him the authority to use his wealth as he pleases?"

People spoke casually, while Richard studied the young man, who seemed more unpredictable than he had expected.

In his view, just being Tier 12 in the Aether Will Realm wasn't worth noting—he might even be able to defeat him now as someone in the Life Aether Realm—but instinct told him this man was far stronger than he appeared.

'Judging by his robe, he's also a member of the Dark Star Legion,' Richard thought as he observed him.

He wondered whether this man would eventually become his enemy.

But even if that was the case, he wasn't worried.

As long as he hadn't foreseen his own death, he feared no problem.

Compared to Richard, Gray looked far more serious as he studied Luca.

All the other tournament participants were the same. They clearly felt the pressure from him—the kind of pressure that robbed them of their confidence to aim for first place.

Luca, after descending from his eagle with the two old men following him, immediately entered the auction hall.

After him, the others began to enter as well.

Besides him, no other young figure attracted much attention, apart from members of the older generation.

But the older generation rarely caused a stir upon their arrival. They had lived long enough that people had grown accustomed to their presence.

Richard followed the crowd. He presented his invitation to one of the wooden puppets guarding the door and was immediately allowed inside.

From the outside, it was impossible to see within. But once he stepped past the doorway, he found himself in a vast auditorium, the seating arranged like rows of thrones.

The grandeur dazzled the eyes, and the stage at the front was alive with a captivating dance performance by several beautiful women in blue gowns.

Not one of them was anything less than enchanting—enough to make love-struck men like Gray blink less than usual as they stared at the stage.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC105: Origin

Chapter 105: Origin

Richard looked around for a comfortable seat to sit on.

But instead, he was startled by the sight of a woman with pink hair sitting in the upper corner, alone, looking relaxed while sipping wine.

She smiled at a few people sitting not far from her when they glanced her way.

Who else could it be but Olivia.

At first, he had underestimated this woman, thinking she was nothing more than a stray wanderer.

However, in the previous library, he had read about the Skylight Clan.

Compared to the Moonshadow Clan, the Skylight Clan stood far above.

Olivia wasn't spouting nonsense when she said her clan was renowned throughout the continent.

Even among clans, it might be the strongest in the Land of Human.

Three Grand Sovereigns were born from that clan, something other clans could not achieve unless they formed a large faction that united many clans together.

And none of them were without extraordinary talent.

Even their weakest members possessed talent at the highest standard compared to others.

The only flaw of the clan was that more than half of its members wandered the world on their own, rather than staying within their clan's territory.

'She just arrived in the capital today, and her name shouldn't even be known yet. Could it be that she also received an invitation? And besides that, does she even have the money to bid?' Richard wondered.

Of course, he chose to sit in a corner opposite from where the woman was.

He still felt she was somewhat unpredictable and might be capable of something unimaginable.

What Richard was most wary of about her was her speed.

The current performance on stage was naturally just the opening entertainment.

As more guests filled the auction hall, the performance ended.

The women descended from the stage through the back stairs.

After that, a woman who appeared to be in her thirties, with neatly tied white hair, stepped onto the stage.

She wasn't a woman with striking beauty, but she carried a grace that was difficult to rival, clad in a dark blue gown that was neither tight nor loose.

Most people were impressed when they saw her, unconsciously feeling she was highly trustworthy.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our third auction of the year. I, Sophia Whitewater, will once again be your auctioneer tonight." The woman spoke, and her voice echoed throughout the auditorium even though there was no microphone or speaker.

She had a soft and pleasant voice, one that gave comfort to the listeners.

"Hahaha, Lady Whitewater, you're the only one we trust. We wouldn't believe any other auctioneer who only loves to boast..." Someone suddenly laughed as he spoke.

Richard saw that it was a middle-aged man with a thick beard.

He was likely one of the strongest among the attendees of this auction, as his aura still radiated even though he tried to suppress it.

"Hmph, Henry, did you come with enough money? I heard you were robbed recently, unless you came just to woo Lady Whitewater..." Suddenly, another voice responded, coming from a plump yet glamorous middle-aged woman in a luxurious red gown, adorned with many pieces of jewelry.

Despite her weight, she still looked beautiful and captivating thanks to her clear skin and naturally lovely face.

If observed closely, her face actually resembled the Red Star Empress.

Being accused of coming only to woo, Henry scowled.

"Layla, don't think I'm without reserves of wealth. I was only robbed of a small amount, nothing worth comparing to my accumulated fortune," he replied.

"But isn't it truly pitiful? Our royal general, robbed so easily. How can you protect the kingdom if enemies attack?" Layla retorted with another jab, showing there was hostility between the two.

Being questioned on whether he could defend the kingdom, Henry looked visibly angered.

"Ehmmm..." Sophia Whitewater cleared her throat before Henry could say anything further.

"General Henry, Madam Layla, please calm down. The auction will begin shortly. There are items here you will surely want, and you can prove who is wealthier among you." She spoke gently.

Naturally, others were irritated by their exchange, but directly reprimanding them would only spark animosity with both sides.

Fortunately, Sophia was able to silence them while also provoking them to compete in a different way.

Both of them stopped speaking.

Soon after, two neatly dressed men walked onto the stage, carrying a golden spear whose tip emitted flames.

The heat from the flames could be felt even by those seated in the corners.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is a Tier 4 Weapon." Sophia announced, and immediately, the hall erupted into an uproar.

Even in the capital, a Tier 4 Weapon was still a rare item.

And it was rarely sold for Nature Spirit. Richard himself had obtained one only because of his impossible achievement in the Monster World.

"We'll start at 1 million Nature Spirit, with each raise no less than 50 thousand!" Sophia declared.

"1 million 50 thousand!" Someone immediately bid, and it turned out to be Luca.

That alone was enough to intimidate the other tournament participants.

They didn't even possess Nature Spirit near that amount, so it was impossible for them to join the bidding.

But if Luca acquired this weapon, he could truly sweep them aside in the tournament.

"1.1 million!"

Another person bid on the spear, someone dressed in a Ghost Cloak.

"1.25 million!" Suddenly, someone raised the price drastically, and this slightly surprised Richard—because it was Olivia who did it.

Even seated in the corner, bidding such an amount naturally drew attention, shocking many when they saw she was actually a beautiful young woman.

"Who is she? I don't think I've ever seen her. She shouldn't be a tournament participant either," one person muttered as he stared at her.

"She's clearly not ordinary."

"I think I know who she is."

"Oh? Who?"

"She might be Olivia Skylight, the one living in Apple Town of the Eight Star Province. They say she's being hunted by Lady Rebecca Moonshadow."

"Ohh, so that's her. Still, she's a descendant of the Skylight Clan. It's natural she dares to be bold—no one can easily suppress her. Besides, wasn't Lady Rebecca once involved with a man from that clan? I heard she was even pregnant, but the baby died at birth."

"What?" Richard, who had been quietly listening in the corner, was stunned by the last person's words.

He even covered his mouth instinctively.

The man who had impregnated his mother was from the Skylight Clan too?

Then... wouldn't that mean he was also a descendant of that clan?

He hadn't expected to obtain such information from idle chatter at the auction house.
