MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC128: William Anderson

Chapter 128: William Anderson

Searching for something that could help him become one with the world — did he think he was already at the peak of the Life Aether Realm? the shop attendant wondered, looking Richard up and down; he was still shorter than her despite her being rather short herself.

"It seems you're the boy named Richard." Someone else spoke suddenly — a man who had just come down the stairs.

He wore a pristine snow-white robe, had long straight blond hair and an almost feminine handsome face, and carried a feather fan, like an ancient eastern scholar.

Richard narrowed his eyes slightly. The man gave off a subtly threatening vibe.

He seemed about Lilith's age and appeared to possess power not inferior to hers.

When the man mentioned his name, the shop attendants finally realized why this boy was searching for something so extraordinary.

"Who are you?" Richard asked the handsome man.

He guessed this was the shop owner but wanted to know his name.

"William Anderson..." the man replied casually.

"William Anderson..."

Richard repeated the name — remembering it from Monster World, ranked fourth, having defeated a Tier-13 Primordial Beast, the same achievement as the king.

As far as he knew, the Anderson clan was no ordinary house.

It was an ancient clan dating back to the Ancient Era.

The clan once produced a Grand Sovereign in the Ancient Era but never again. They had declined considerably and only recently a few members had relocated to the Star Sacred Kingdom.

Richard hadn't expected to meet this man.

"Richard, becoming one with the world requires your own ability. You can't rely on anything external," the man said, prompting Richard to frown.

"However, certain circumstances can sometimes help someone find enlightenment," he added.

"What kind of circumstances?" Richard asked immediately, interest showing on his face.

"The most effective are situations where you're in mortal danger and truly have nothing to face it with — to the point you're certain you will die. If you're interested, I can help arrange such a situation for you, but you'll have to leave behind any treasures that could help you."

Richard, "..."

"I won't try any life-threatening situations," he said.

He wasn't a coward, but this was literally a life-or-death wager. Why take such a risk? Besides, he still had the Black Heart Soul. His innate talent was already extraordinary; it seemed unlikely he couldn't become one with the world through his own effort.

"That's only if you want the fast route. Otherwise, who knows — you might need ten more years," William said with a chuckle.

"If you don't sell something like that, there's no point for me being in this shop," Richard replied.

"Your standards are high, but if you look around you might find something suitable."

"Maybe..." Richard didn't argue and decided to walk around, examining the artifacts for sale.

There were wing-shaped artifacts that assisted flight before one reached the World Realm — but since Richard already had dragon wings, those didn't interest him.

What did catch his eye was a pendant that looked entirely made of white diamond.

Richard didn't know what it was, but he felt it hid an impressive ability and sensed a compatibility with himself.

The price was 5 million Nature Spirit — the most expensive thing he'd seen, ten times the price of a Tier-4 weapon.

Clearly, it was an artifact with a special function; the pendant form was likely just the maker's choice.

"What is this?" he asked William.

"It's called Echo of Wave, a special item for wave-force users," William explained.

"Ohh... Wave..." Richard finally understood why it felt connected to him.

"What ability does this artifact grant wave power?" Richard asked.

"It can merge other powers with your wave force. Even just a voice. For example, when you shout, your shout can be transmitted through your wave. But its energy consumption is very high."

Richard nodded a few times after hearing that.

"Interested in buying it? I know you have wave power. If you want, you can pay in installments."

"Installments..." Richard showed a disdainful expression upon hearing that.

"Why would I need installments? I have more than ten million..." Richard immediately transferred 5 million Nature Spirit into a small Storage Artifact he'd gotten from buying at the Golden Leaf Auction.

He handed it to William, who inspected it in surprise.

"You seem very wealthy," William said with a slight smile.

"Even richer than you think," Richard replied as he took the pendant.

"By the way, you should wear it — it needs contact near your head..."

Richard nodded. His ears weren't pierced, but the pendant didn't require a hole to wear. It seemed to have some magnetic ability to adhere firmly to the earlobe.

So he had the pendant on his ear, and it should also enhance his appearance.

Once he put it on, he immediately connected it to his wave power.

Its function indeed linked his waves with other powers, including his voice — even his thoughts, if he wanted.

"Richard, there is one thing I should tell you..." William suddenly spoke again.

"What?" Richard looked at him curiously.

They barely knew each other, so what could he possibly say?

"You're engaged to Princess Lilith. If you can't kill Prince Charles, he will kill you. Don't underestimate his power; he has his reasons to be the Lord of Crimson Veil's disciple."

"Ohh..." Richard narrowed his eyes slightly at that, though he already suspected as much.

The problem was that this man wanted his wealth — that explained the animosity.

"That's right. You must know Olivia. Yesterday, she invited me to rob you, but I refused," William added, and Richard rolled his eyes upon hearing that.

"Fortunately, you refused," Richard said before leaving the shop.

He couldn't call Olivia stupid. Her plans were clever, and she was indeed cunning—but clearly, she was the type who carried bad luck wherever she went.

Still, he couldn't help but wonder whether Olivia had truly intended to set William up according to their earlier plan... or if she genuinely wanted to rob him together with that man.

After all, the ally she tried to bring in was anything but ordinary.

If that man had decided to act against him, Richard feared he would have been in real trouble. There was even a chance he might have succeeded in robbing him.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC129: Father

Chapter 129: Father

Richard's mind was filled with countless thoughts as he walked, eventually finding himself at the edge of the city, where the land met the sea.

But there was no beach there—only a towering cliff that rose sharply above the waters below.

From that height, Richard could still see enormous fish swimming in the ocean beneath him.

If only he had a modern fishing rod, fishing from this cliff would be an incredible experience.

He sat down at the edge, relaxing as the sea breeze brushed against him, bringing a rare sense of peace.

That was until he noticed a white crow flying rapidly from the distance.

In just a blink, the white crow was already before him.

"White Ancestor." Richard was startled.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

"Why can't I be here, boy? I like taking walks," the white crow replied casually.

Richard squinted at him, not quite convinced.

"Boy, your father came to this city as well," said the White Ancestor.

"What?" Richard was so shocked he rubbed his ear, thinking he'd misheard.

"What's he doing here?" he asked.

"Perhaps just passing through. But well, truthfully, I came to capture him."

Richard, "..."

"It's not what you think. Edward got his hands on something valuable. He might've intended to give it to your mother, but I think it would be better suited for you," the White Ancestor continued.

"What kind of item?" Richard asked curiously—it had to be something extraordinary if it made the White Ancestor come all this way.

"A kind of Aether Skeleton, but far stronger. Once used, it will greatly enhance your physical strength—or more precisely, elevate it to the level of your strongest power right now, the Titan Skeleton. It can even merge with your Aether Skeleton to push it to a new level," the White Ancestor explained.

"So there are other skeletons besides the Aether Skeleton that can merge with humans?" Richard said, surprised.

"Of course. There are many kinds of skeletons with various innate abilities—some even more terrifying. At the pinnacle lies the kind that can grant power equal to a Grand Sovereign's without actually becoming one... a skeleton that can rival the World Magic Aether itself," the White Ancestor said, his tone laced with yearning.

"Is it really possible to reach Grand Sovereign-level strength without World Magic Aether?" Richard asked in awe.

"Certainly. Take me, for example. With my Ancestral Bloodline, I could reach that level if I were to awaken its true power," replied the White Ancestor, leaving Richard even more astonished.

He hadn't expected this seemingly ordinary white crow to possess an Ancestral Bloodline.

"By the way, have you ever heard of the giant corpse beneath the capital, the one whose skeleton is guarded by the royal family?" Richard recalled the rumor Sister Lisa had mentioned.

"How could I not know about that?" the White Ancestor replied.

"Can that skeleton also help someone reach Grand Sovereign-level power? I heard it's as large as the capital itself."

"If it could grant Grand Sovereign-level power, do you think it would still be here? Other factions would've stolen it long ago, even if it requires the royal family's special bloodline—modified by the Holy Star Grand Sovereign himself. At most, merging with that skeleton could make someone reach my current level, or less if their foundation is weak. The main requirement is reaching Peak Ruler. And doing so would strip one of the qualification to obtain World Magic Aether."

"So even that can't reach Grand Sovereign-level power?" Richard sighed after hearing the explanation.

It seemed that was exactly what Lilith was after—no wonder she wanted to kill the young prince.

The King must have intended for the prince to inherit it, but now he was a slave to Lilith.

The Red Star Empress likely sulked over that shift of inheritance.

"There might still be a chance if something else is added to it," said the White Ancestor.

"Ohhh..." That piqued Richard's interest.

"It doesn't matter for you. What you must pursue is the World Magic Aether. You mustn't use anything that would make you lose that qualification. The Titan Skeleton, of course, is fine. Now, let's go find your father. I suspect he's here to make love to his mistress."

Richard, "..."

He followed the White Ancestor as it flew leisurely ahead.

His mind wandered—just who was his father's mistress, anyway?

Even here, he had one.

Their destination wasn't the city center but rather a seaside district filled with luxurious castles.

The surroundings were quiet, but every person Richard saw looked unusual—strong, refined, or dangerous.

Still, the high walls surrounding each castle made it difficult to see what lay within.

"Boy..." the White Ancestor called out, suddenly flicking a small light that expanded to envelop Richard's body.

"What's this?" Richard asked in confusion, noticing that the White Ancestor was also shrouded in the same glow.

"So we won't be detected or seen. It lets us blend with the light," explained the White Ancestor.

Moments later, they stopped at a crossroads.

"That's your father—probably waiting for his mistress to return home," the White Ancestor said, glancing to the left.

Although Richard didn't care much about his father and felt no emotional bond, he was still somewhat curious to see him.

He turned his head and spotted a man who appeared to be around twenty-five. The man had wavy gray hair, a lean build that wasn't too thin thanks to his broad chest, which was partly exposed because the top buttons of his shirt were undone.

Though slim, his arms showed powerful muscles upon closer look. His face reminded Richard of himself—it was strikingly similar, except older and more mature.

With a sharp nose, reddish lips, and deep violet eyes that gleamed faintly, Richard wasn't surprised that this man could charm any woman.

He had the kind of face women adored—one they could hardly bring themselves to hate, no matter how badly he might treat them.

Some people simply had that kind of gift—just like those celebrities on Earth who were adored no matter what kind of personality they had.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC130: See and Hear

Chapter 130: See and Hear

As Richard observed the man, he realized that the latter was completely unaware of their presence.

Compared to the White Ancestor, his father was clearly just a small junior.

"Eh..." He was surprised.

Suddenly, he saw an elegant mature woman with her hair tied up neatly, wearing a light blue dress adorned with dark blue lace around her waist.

The reason for his surprise—was because the woman was Sophia.

Then he saw his father, Edward Skylight, smiling warmly at her.

"Sophia..." he greeted softly, and Richard had to admit—his father's voice carried a magnetic charm that seemed almost intoxicating.

But Sophia's face turned into a frown.

"Are you here just for a short visit?" she asked cynically.

It was clear she held some grievance, but Edward only smiled.

"What if it's only for a while? You'd still be happy, wouldn't you?" he said, reaching for Sophia's hand and pulling her closer.

"You!" Sophia gasped, but because he pulled her in, she fell into Edward's embrace.

The man immediately wrapped his arm tightly around her waist.

"Stop, Edward. Not here—I don't want anyone to see," Sophia said, flustered, her cheeks reddening.

"Don't worry. I've made sure no one's around. But hey, look at you. You're clearly not mad—you want this. Tell me, did you miss me?"

"..."

It was a bit of teasing—and Richard thought it was poor teasing—but Sophia seemed to melt far too easily.

"Quickly, get inside. If someone sees us, don't expect me to be with you again," she said, resting her head against Edward's chest.

The latter grinned, clearly unconcerned by her halfhearted threat.

Then he led her toward the castle behind them, which appeared to be Sophia's residence.

"Let's wait. Give him time to enjoy himself first. I don't like interrupting people's fun," the White Ancestor suddenly said.

Richard rolled his eyes at that.

Still, he had to admit—it was a bit intriguing.

But Richard still had his manners. There was no way he would peek when someone else was beside him, even if that someone was just a bird.

If he used his Red Eyes, the White Ancestor would definitely notice, given his insight.

"Do you want to watch, boy?" the White Ancestor suddenly asked, startling Richard.

Before he could answer, the bird perched atop his head—and to Richard's shock, he felt his Sixth Sense connect with the crow's. It was deeply hidden, yet completely clear.

Because their senses were linked, Richard found himself able to see through the White Ancestor's Sixth Sense.

From what he could tell, the White Ancestor's Sixth Sense could evade detection due to its extraordinary level.

Then, the White Ancestor's perception enveloped Sophia's castle—allowing Richard to see everything within.

He saw Edward and Sophia already on the upper floor after climbing the stairs, Sophia clinging to Edward's body, panting slightly.

"Edward," she said in a soft, spoiled tone, caressing his cheek, while the man's hand traced the thigh revealed by the slit in her dress.

They had clearly just finished an intense kiss.

"Not mad anymore, are you?" Edward chuckled as he opened the bedroom door.

"I want to hate you, but I can't," Sophia replied honestly—no longer looking shy at all, as if her mind held only desire.

Edward smiled at her words, patting her backside before carrying her to the grand bed inside the luxurious room.

Before him, Sophia looked like a cat in heat, yearning for every one of his touches.

Within moments, she was pinned beneath Edward on the bed, and the two began to strip each other's clothes away.

"Hahaha, that's enough for you to see," the White Ancestor said, cutting off Richard's vision.

"This little woman was your father's friend back at the Magic Academy. I think she used to be a virtuous woman. But even though they weren't lovers, Edward managed to make her willingly serve him whenever he desired."

Richard, "..."

In this case, he could only say that Sophia Whitewater was far from what he had imagined. Or perhaps she was a virtuous and wise woman once—but one man made her willing to do anything for him.

'No wonder she doesn't like Rebecca,' Richard thought, realizing it was because she'd lost the rivalry.

She could do anything for Edward, yet Edward could do anything for Rebecca.

"Are you still watching?" Richard asked the White Ancestor.

He claimed to dislike disturbing others' pleasure, but it seemed he enjoyed peeking.

"Why, boy? Have you grown curious about such things?" the crow replied with a chuckle.

"Alright then, just listen to their voices," he added.

Pa! Pa! Pa!

"Ohhh, Edward, darling... Ahhhh..."

"Sophia, you're so sweet..."

"Stop it!" Richard shouted.

He covered his ears, embarrassed—or perhaps simply uncomfortable—listening to it.

"Hahahaha..." The White Crow laughed, but thankfully, he stopped, cutting off the sound.

Richard scratched his head, suddenly feeling uneasy, though he wasn't sure why.

'Maybe it's the same everywhere—lust rules half the world,' he thought.

He then sat down by the roadside, leaning against a wall to wait.

He wasn't sure how long this "game" would last.

He even lost track of time, nearly dozing off as he waited.

"I suppose that boy will die by a woman's hand someday," the White Ancestor suddenly muttered, his gaze fixed on the castle.

The "boy" he referred to was clearly not Richard, but Edward.

"Come on, boy—they're done," he said next, prompting Richard to quickly stand.

He followed the White Crow into the castle.

Apparently, the castle was protected by a magical formation, but the White Ancestor passed through it as if it didn't exist—and so did Richard.

The castle's door was open, allowing them to enter silently.

They climbed the stairs, quickly arriving before Sophia's bedroom door.

Richard immediately saw Edward and the woman lying on the bed, covered by a blanket.

Sophia's hair was no longer neat—it was messy, and she buried her face into Edward's neck.

"Edward, can you stay until morning?"

Richard heard Sophia's pleading voice.

"Alright, I'm not in a hurry to leave. I'll stay with you until tomorrow," Edward replied casually, caressing her slender back.

Then, all of a sudden, Richard saw the White Ancestor fly into the room and reveal his true form.

"Alright, boy, you can stay here—but I'll be taking your Titan Skeleton..." the crow declared.

Both Edward and Sophia jolted upright in shock, though Sophia was quick enough to grab the blanket to cover herself.

Chapter 131: Titan

"White Ancestor!"

Edward, of course, was familiar with the crow, and it seemed Sophia knew as well—after all, the name of the White Ancestor had been famous for a long time.

Before him, Edward immediately lost the ability to resist.

Buzz!

The crow dove straight into Edward's ring and disappeared, perhaps entering it entirely.

Given his level, even frozen space didn't seem to be a problem for him.

"Hahaha, there it is..." His laughter echoed as his figure reappeared.

The difference was, this time, he carried a complete skull—dark red in color and faintly glowing with a dim light.

Edward's expression froze the moment he saw it.

"White Ancestor, wait—"

But the White Ancestor ignored him.

The skull vanished, and he swiftly flew toward the door.

"Richard, let's go," he said.

Edward, of course, didn't know who Richard was—but Sophia instantly turned pale when she heard that name.

Richard was also a member of the Skylight Clan. It wasn't strange for the White Ancestor to have taken him under his care.

If that was the case, then Richard would know she had slept with his father... perhaps even witnessed it himself.

The more Sophia thought about it, the paler her skin became, yet her cheeks burned redder.

"Damn it!" Edward suddenly stood up, hastily putting on his clothes before running after the White Ancestor.

But with such a vast difference in level—how could he ever catch up?

Richard, carried away by the White Ancestor, found the scenery around him had changed.

They suddenly appeared in the middle of a dense forest.

"Boy, it's time for you to merge with the Titan Skeleton," said the White Ancestor.

That was power—and Richard naturally didn't reject it. He nodded to the White Ancestor.

The latter brought the skull to him and used his power to attach it to Richard's body.

Richard personally witnessed how the Titan Skeleton fused smoothly with his own bones, giving him a tremendous surge of strength.

DING!

(You have merged with the Titan Skeleton, a skeleton that enhances your physical power and possesses one innate Arcane Art — Titan Mode, an Arcane Art that grants you the ability to enlarge your body into a giant like a titan!)

[External Power:]

Sacred Flame

Incomplete Heavenly Water (26 Points)

Titan Skeleton

[Innate Arcane Art from Titan Skeleton:]

Titan Mode

Richard suddenly received the notification.

It was also classified as an External Power, but power was still power.

He just didn't expect something like this to even possess an innate Arcane Art.

"How big can I get?" he wondered aloud.

"You can try it..." the White Ancestor replied with a visible grin.

Although Richard thought it didn't suit his style, curiosity got the better of him—so he activated the Arcane Art.

Suddenly, his body began to swell with massive muscles, while his skin turned crimson, like solidified red stone.

He thought he looked like a red version of the Hulk.

Rip!

His clothes tore apart instantly as his body expanded.

Richard's eyes widened, but he quickly noticed some sort of stone-like undergarment forming around his waist, covering his "dragon."

In just moments, his body had grown so tall that he was now towering above the trees—nearly fifteen meters in height.

The ground now seemed far beneath him.

"Boy, look!"

The White Ancestor released a light that formed into a mirror-like reflection—showing Richard's current form.

He could only stare in disbelief at his appearance, resembling a red giant, almost exactly like a crimson Hulk.

"No, no!" he said quickly, dispelling the transformation.

There was no way he could like such a form.

Fortunately, with just a thought, he reverted back to his human self—though he had to hurry to put on his clothes again.

"Hahaha, boy, it seems you don't like that form. But don't worry, even without transforming, your physical strength is already formidable. The transformation is only if you ever wish to fight in a brute-force way," said the White Ancestor.

"I won't transform, no matter what," replied Richard firmly.

"If you're desperate enough, you might still do it," said the White Ancestor with a chuckle.

"Alright, it's done. I'll be off now," he added.

"Wait!" Richard reached out his hand to stop the crow, but it had already pierced through space-time, vanishing from his sight.

Richard could only roll his eyes—he didn't even know where he was now, except that it was in the middle of a forest.

Whoosh!

He spread out waves of perception to scan his surroundings, stretching them as far as he could reach.

Unfortunately, all he sensed was more forest.

If anything, he only detected the presence of numerous beasts.

"Luckily, I have a Flying Magic Vehicle," he said.

Whoosh!

He summoned it—a massive ark-shaped craft roughly the size of a house.

Made from extremely durable material, it easily crushed the trees around it.

Richard leapt onto the ark.

It was already linked to him, allowing full control.

However, it required a supply of Nature Spirits as fuel.

Having plenty of them, Richard didn't hesitate to pour in hundreds of thousands of Nature Spirits at once.

The ark immediately responded, moving in accordance with his will and soaring into the sky.

He was sure this place wasn't far from the capital. As long as he flew high enough, he should be able to spot the vast city.

Flying leisurely, even while ascending higher, the ark didn't consume too much energy.

Hundreds of thousands of Nature Spirits seemed enough to last for several days.

Richard watched as the ark glided through layer after layer of clouds, climbing ever higher.

He kept looking around, and before long, he spotted distant mountain ranges—tiny from his view, but he knew they were enormous in reality.

"The capital!" he said confidently, certain that those mountains marked the capital's location.

Without hesitation, he ordered the ark to head in that direction, though at a relaxed pace.

The distance was likely several hundred kilometers, but he wanted to enjoy the journey.

"Mm..." After some time, he spotted a settlement hidden in the forest.

It was far too grand to be called a village, filled with dozens of luxurious castles surrounded by artificial lakes.

What caught Richard's attention, however, were the carriages bearing red star emblems—the insignia of the Empress's entourage.

"Does the Empress live here?" he muttered.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC132: Meet the Empress

Chapter 132: Meet the Empress

The village appeared quiet. Richard only saw a few servants sweeping dry leaves.

However, it was clearly not a place where just anyone could enter.

Richard noticed several birds perched on the rooftops of the castles. They seemed ordinary, but he knew they were High-Ranked Primordial Beasts that had transformed into smaller forms.

He didn't observe the village for too long, worried that his gaze might make the powerful people there uncomfortable.

If he stared too long, they would likely sense it.

But just as he averted his eyes, a woman's voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

(Richard, why don't you stop by?)

It was unmistakably the Empress's voice, which made Richard realize that she must have seen him and used her Sixth Sense to speak directly to him.

She was actually inviting him to stop by.

Of course, he was a little nervous. After all, even though the Empress appeared kind, he couldn't be certain what she would do if he entered her private domain.

She could practically do anything she wished there.

Still, refusing her wasn't appropriate.

(Your Majesty, is it really alright?) Richard asked in response.

(What's the problem? You can come whenever you wish...) the Empress replied.

At that point, Richard couldn't refuse anymore.

He steered his flying vessel toward the village.

In the worst-case scenario, he could simply unleash all his trump cards.

He lowered his vessel over the village, choosing the largest castle, assuming that was where the Empress lived.

After landing, he stored the vessel inside his Storage Artifact.

"Sir Richard, please come in. Her Majesty is waiting for you!"

A young maid suddenly appeared from the castle, inviting him inside.

Richard followed her, mesmerized by the luxurious interior of the guest hall, which displayed enormous paintings of various giant beasts.

He even saw several paintings of the Empress herself, elegantly attending gatherings of nobles.

However, he didn't see her in the hall.

The maid led him through a door, and once he stepped inside, he found a large swimming pool under a glass dome. Surrounding it was a vineyard filled with grapes of various colors that looked ready for harvest — each fruit much larger than an ordinary grape.

By one of the grapevines, Richard spotted a bed — and on it, the Empress lay wearing only a short gown.

She wasn't just lying there idly; two female masseuses were kneading her legs with fragrant oils that immediately reached Richard's nose.

Richard thought to himself, Her power really is something else. She instantly knew I was flying nearby even while she's relaxing here.

"Richard..." The Empress waved her hand at him.

Richard walked toward her, stopping about a meter away from the bed, feeling a bit nervous. Staring at a beautiful, mature woman lying down in a short gown — it was truly an indescribable sight.

If he weren't still a boy, the Empress probably wouldn't have allowed him to come this close unless she had a specific intention toward him.

"Your Majesty..." he greeted respectfully.

"What are you doing out here in this forest? Wandering around on your own? You know many people are after you for entering the Dragon Knight's secret grounds. If anyone discovers you're alone in the forest, you could be in danger. You may have decent power, but you must remember the capital is filled with old Magi who are extremely dangerous," said the Empress.

Richard couldn't help but feel awkward hearing that.

The Empress truly seemed worried that he might get robbed — but how could he explain that he had suddenly appeared in the forest out of nowhere?

"I thought no one would notice since no one's watching me anymore. Besides, I left my horse in the city," said Richard.

"It's still dangerous. The distance between the capital and this village is not as close as you think — it's over 4,000 kilometers."

Richard: "..."

He had seen the capital from above and guessed it was only a few hundred kilometers away, but the Empress said it was over 4,000 kilometers.

He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

How could he have been that mistaken?

Just how far was 4,000 kilometers?

On Earth, that was nearly the distance between Europe and America across the ocean.

At that distance, the capital shouldn't even be visible!

Richard had forgotten that this world was several times larger than Earth. Naturally, such a distance was still considered short enough for the ground to appear flat.

"Tonight, I'll be returning to the capital. If you want to stay safe, you can come with my entourage," said the Empress again.

That surprised Richard — was she really going back to the palace?

Didn't she just leave the palace today after arguing with the king?

Of course, it wasn't proper for him to ask.

While he remained silent, the Empress suddenly sat up and stood from her bed.

"You can relax here or have the masseuses give you a massage. You can also eat the grapes if you like. I need to do some training," she said before suddenly leaping into the middle of the pool.

Splash!

She dove in with considerable force.

A moment later, Richard saw the pool water turn reddish from below, as if glowing with red light.

It was clearly very deep.

After several minutes, the Empress still hadn't resurfaced. She was apparently training at the bottom of the pool.

"Sir Richard, would you like a massage?"

One of the masseuses suddenly offered.

At least in this world, Richard hadn't developed the habit of getting massages yet. After all, he was still a boy — though he used to enjoy them back on Earth, so he was somewhat tempted.

However, after thinking about it, he shook his head.

As a guest, he felt it would be somewhat inappropriate.

"I'll just take a walk," he said.

He approached one of the grapevines full of large black grapes — each nearly the size of an adult's fist.

Curious about their taste, he plucked one and took a bite, only to find an incredibly refreshing sweetness.

It was even cool, as if it had just come out of a refrigerator.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC133: Big Guest

Chapter 133: Big Guest

"Richard!"

While he was busy enjoying the various grapes around the pool, his name was suddenly called — but this time, the voice sounded childish, almost identical to his own.

Richard turned around only to find the little red-haired prince emerging from another doorway and walking toward him.

"Your Highness..." Richard greeted him, though not as formally as he had greeted the Empress.

It wasn't easy for him either, since the little prince was, after all, just a kid in his eyes.

Of course, the young prince was still innocent and couldn't yet distinguish levels of formality in people's greetings.

Just like the last time in the palace, the prince looked at Richard with curious eyes.

"I heard you defeated my uncle who's in the World Realm," said the young prince.

"Your uncle?" Richard was a little surprised until he remembered that the man called Bear — the one he had robbed — was actually the Empress's older brother, which meant he was indeed the little prince's uncle.

"I guess I was just lucky," Richard replied with a smile.

"Even if it was luck, the fact remains that you're as strong as a World Realm Magus. You're clearly my age — how are you already that powerful?" the little prince asked.

Richard gave a wry smile at that.

"It's hard to explain. I trained like everyone else, and eventually, my power reached this level," he said.

"Can you teach me how to grow stronger as fast as you did?"

Richard: "..."

"Your Highness, I can't really say much about that. All I can tell you is that you must continue to train and sharpen yourself."

At this point, Richard could only say something cliché — better that than staying silent and looking foolish.

"Sharpen myself?" The young prince seemed to ponder over his words for a moment.

"Yes, you have to keep sharpening yourself," Richard answered, hoping the boy would go off somewhere to "sharpen himself," whatever that meant.

And the young prince began nodding repeatedly.

"I suppose I really am not sharp enough... maybe because I've always lived under protection," he muttered.

His eyes suddenly lit up.

"Thank you for the advice," he said before turning around and leaving.

Richard felt relieved that he finally left.

How would he go about "sharpening himself"?

That wasn't Richard's concern.

The young prince surely had powerful hidden protectors following him wherever he went, so there was no way he'd actually be in danger — even if he ventured into a forest full of beasts.

Splash! Splash!

As the sky began to darken, the Empress finally surfaced from the pool, her body drenched. But with a few subtle movements and a gentle flick of her hair, she effortlessly repelled all the water from her body, even drying her gown in the process.

Whoosh!

She leaped gracefully and landed by the poolside.

"Richard, wait for me outside. I'll go change first," said the Empress before heading toward the doorway ahead of him.

She wasn't joking when she said she was returning to the capital.

The king likely won't change his decision, and from what I've seen, the Empress isn't the type to yield easily — unless she has other business in the capital, Richard thought.

After that, he exited the Empress's castle, waiting on the terrace, where he saw many maids gathering. Some were putting on Sky Armors, making Richard realize that the Empress's Sky Armor Knights were actually her own maids.

Not long after, the Empress appeared, wearing an elegant long black gown, her crimson hair flowing freely down her back.

"Ride with me in my carriage," she said to Richard.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Richard replied, following her into the largest carriage.

However, one thing puzzled him — the little prince wasn't coming along.

That only strengthened Richard's suspicion that the Empress was going to the capital for other matters.

The Empress's carriage was more like a luxurious lounge, with a pair of long sofas facing each other, a small table in between, and several cabinets filled with various types of wine.

The Empress sat down first, of course, before inviting Richard to sit across from her.

Since he was still a boy, she seemed to decide against serving any of the wines. Instead, she took out fruits and snacks from her Storage Artifact.

"You must have heard about me leaving the palace," the Empress suddenly said once the carriage started flying at tremendous speed.

Her words caught Richard off guard.

He instinctively nodded, not daring to deny it.

"Are you returning to the palace, Your Majesty?" Richard asked, no longer feeling it inappropriate since she had brought up the subject herself.

"No. I'm only attending the closing banquet of the tournament — an important guest is arriving, and it wouldn't be proper for me not to attend," she replied.

"An important guest?" Richard hadn't expected to hear that.

"Your Majesty, who won the tournament?" he asked, curious about the result since one of the finalists was Gray.

"Luca, of course. But I heard it was a fierce fight. The man named Gray apparently made it difficult for Luca to win easily."

'How did he become that strong?' Richard couldn't help but wonder.

If that was the case, then whatever Gray obtained from Wren must have been extraordinary — or perhaps perfectly compatible with him.

"And who is this important guest, Your Majesty?" Richard asked again.

"The Lord of Crimson Veil..." the Empress said seriously, showing that this was someone she dared not take lightly.

Richard nearly swallowed hard.

Ever since he had become hostile toward Prince Charles, he had viewed the prince's teacher — the Lord of Crimson Veil — as an even greater threat.

To think that man was now coming to the capital.

"Your Majesty, just how powerful is that person?" Richard asked again.

Of course, the power of the Order of Crimson Veil was immense, but the Lord's position was always inherited by a new generation, not some ancient being from eras past.

Even so, compared to the king, the standard to become the Lord of Crimson Veil was certainly higher.

"He's definitely in the Lord Realm — that's all I know," replied the Empress.

At that point, Richard thought it might be best to summon the Fire Spirit Queen to the capital.

He was worried that Prince Charles would become reckless with his master around — meaning he would need a supporter of his own.

And the Fire Spirit Queen was certainly a far stronger ally than the Lord of Crimson Veil.

Unfortunately, he had left Athena in the capital, so he needed to arrive there first before ordering her to send a message to the Queen.

Still, he believed he had enough time. The important thing was for Athena to return to the Purple Rose Village and deliver the message.

The Fire Spirit Queen could practically reach the capital in no time at all.

Chapter 134: Party

The journey with the Empress's entourage was faster than Richard expected.

They entered the capital not long after, though the Empress, of course, did not go to the royal palace.

"Do you wish to come to the banquet, or get off here?" the Empress asked Richard.

"Your Majesty, I'll get off here," Richard replied.

The Empress nodded, then ordered her maids to halt for a moment, giving Richard the chance to step down from the carriage.

Richard quickly disembarked and ran toward his inn.

He had been out since morning, leaving Athena behind at the inn.

When he arrived, he found the mare fast asleep.

"Athena!" Richard called, waking her, and Athena immediately stood up.

After that, Richard quickly wrote a letter for the Spirit Queen of Fire.

"Deliver this to the Spirit Queen of Fire. You must hand it to her as soon as possible," Richard said, placing the letter before the mare's mouth. She accepted it and nodded before soaring swiftly into the air.

Fiuuuh!

Richard exhaled in relief and sat down on his bed.

DING!

(Your Heavenly Water Points have increased from 26 to 39 Points!)

Incomplete Heavenly Water (39 Points)

Suddenly, a notification from the System appeared — more points for the Heavenly Water.

Apparently, the System intended to focus on perfecting his Heavenly Water.

Naturally, Richard was greatly anticipating it.

It was the most impressive external power he knew.

For now, he stayed in his room, waiting for the Spirit Queen of Fire.

Time passed, and in Aldric's cabin, the Spirit Queen of Fire remained alone just like yesterday.

She looked even more dissatisfied after having to do things for Richard the day before.

How noble was her status? Since birth, it had always been she who commanded others — never the other way around.

Her heart was filled with complaint, and when she saw Athena coming again, the Spirit Queen of Fire's eyes widened in disbelief.

Surprised, of course.

She wondered what that boy wanted this time.

Whoosh!

In an instant, Athena arrived before her, handing over Richard's letter.

The Spirit Queen of Fire read it, her brows furrowing.

After understanding its contents, she said nothing, grabbed Athena's leg, and stepped into the air.

She moved through space and time, traveling toward the capital.

In Richard's room — not long after she began her journey — he was startled.

The space before him suddenly cracked like shattering glass.

A graceful, beautiful figure with straight crimson hair stepped out of the rift, pulling her horse along.

Unfortunately, her beauty was overshadowed by her grim expression.

So fast, Richard thought.

It was only around the time he had estimated Athena would just be reaching Purple Rose Village.

The Spirit Queen of Fire stared at Richard without blinking, but remained silent.

"Queen, come in," Richard said, opening the door to the Dragon Hall.

The Spirit Queen of Fire was slightly surprised upon seeing it and, naturally, cautious. Still, this was Richard's command — one she could not disobey — so she was forced to enter.

As the owner of the Dragon Hall, Richard could see everything the Spirit Queen of Fire did even from outside.

The woman appeared captivated by the place she found herself in.

"Athena, let's go!" Richard said, climbing onto Athena's back.

With the Spirit Queen of Fire by his side, the last thing Richard feared now was trouble itself.

By this time, the banquet should still be ongoing — perhaps even just beginning.

From what the Empress had told him, it wasn't held in the palace but rather in an open hall near the coliseum.

When he arrived near the coliseum, Richard immediately recognized the open hall.

It was a wide area without walls, only several pillars supporting a large dome-shaped roof.

In the center stood a small stage where a group of beautiful women danced.

The hall was filled with nobles chatting and drinking wine.

The tournament participants could also be seen, the most striking of whom was Gray, together with his lover, Laura.

Many beautiful women greeted him, making Laura visibly nervous and uneasy.

However, Gray seemed somewhat drunk, smiling brightly whenever a woman greeted him.

Richard also saw the Empress gathered with several influential noblewomen.

The King was elsewhere, though it was clear the Empress deliberately kept her distance from him.

Of course, the banquet was also meant to celebrate the awarding of the first-place prize.

Luca, as the tournament champion, stood alone by a small pond, guarded by several escorts who prevented anyone from approaching.

The atmosphere was just as Richard imagined, though it seemed the special guest — the Lord of Crimson Veil — had yet to arrive.

Richard also didn't see Prince Charles.

But he did see Lilith, who appeared to have just arrived as well, clearly in an excellent mood.

Her bright golden hair shimmered under the night lights, naturally drawing everyone's attention. She looked stunning in a tight, light-blue gown that barely concealed the alluring curves of her body.

It was hard for any man not to smile upon seeing her.

Naturally, Lilith immediately spotted Richard atop his horse.

She walked toward him, forcing the crowd blocking his path to part.

"Why are you still here, boy?" she asked. "If you feel lonely, come with me."

When it became clear who she was speaking to, the surrounding crowd erupted in whispers.

"That's him — Richard, the prodigy boy!"

"Isn't he and Princess Lilith engaged? Even the King didn't deny it, and many officials have spread the news."

"That's true, but look at their age difference! Though age doesn't matter much, Richard's still a child — romance between them seems impossible for now. Even Princess Lilith still calls him boy."

"I'd say there's still a chance to win the princess's heart. If she falls in love, she could easily cancel that ridiculous engagement."

"Hahaha..."

"..."

Richard realized that many people were unhappy about their engagement.

However, he was far too lazy to care.

He dismounted his horse and walked toward Lilith.

"Since Her Highness has invited me, I shall accompany Her Highness," Richard said in an elegant tone.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC135: Drink

Chapter 135: Drink

Lilith couldn't help but smile when she saw how indifferent Richard was toward those who looked down on their relationship.

Although this engagement wasn't something she had originally wanted, she truly had been waiting for him to grow up—to eventually become her lover.

At the very least, his behavior as a child made her optimistic that he would become quite an interesting man once he matured.

"Then let's go," Lilith said, waving her hand as Richard naturally followed beside her.

After observing for a moment, he noticed that Lilith was no longer that much taller than him.

Perhaps he had simply grown taller.

At eight years old, his growth had begun to accelerate.

In this world, children truly matured faster—ten years old was already the age when they began working, and by fourteen or fifteen, commoners could already marry.

Magus tended to live busier lives, so they matured slightly slower, yet even they often tasted the sweetness of love around that age.

"You see, people don't like you very much," Lilith said to Richard.

"They're just jealous. But that won't change the fact that you'll be my wife," Richard replied casually, not even lowering his voice—causing several men who had been glaring at him with envy to now glare daggers at him.

Lilith chuckled upon hearing that and then pulled his hand toward a table to sit down.

"Boy, I think you're big enough now—you can drink wine," Lilith said, placing a cup in front of him before pouring some wine into it.

Richard rolled his eyes. He hadn't expected her to suddenly offer him wine.

"Will this make me drunk?" he asked.

"This wine is strong for ordinary humans, but you're not one of them. I suppose you'll only get a little tipsy—it's perfect for your first time," Lilith replied.

"Is that so?" Richard wasn't so sure, but with the current mood, he felt like trying it.

"Go on, try it..." Lilith urged, and Richard finally took the cup, which was cold from the ice within.

The aroma was rich and intoxicating, tickling his senses and almost guiding his hand to bring the cup to his lips.

As the wine touched them, a small amount flowed into his mouth—cold and warm sensations mixing together with a sweet-sour flavor that was far more pleasant than refreshing.

Once he had tasted it, he found himself wanting more, tilting the cup further until the liquid poured freely into his mouth.

"Ahh..." Richard drank until half the cup was gone before setting it back down.

Warmth spread through his throat, coloring his neck and cheeks a faint red.

"How does it taste?" Lilith asked with a smile, though Richard felt her smile had a shadow to it—or perhaps his vision was wavering due to the haze in his mind.

Either way, his body felt incredibly light—so light that even a gentle breeze made him feel like floating.

Luckily, his mind remained somewhat clear.

At worst, he simply felt a strong impulse to act on whatever urge popped into his head.

"I think I shouldn't drink any more," Richard said.

Of course, he knew he was already drunk. If he drank more, he might lose control completely.

"Oh, come on. Why not have one more?" Lilith protested.

More than that, she filled his cup again until it was brimming.

"Wait—Sist, Your Highness, I..." Richard tried to refuse, but suddenly Lilith leaned closer, her face mere inches from his, startling not only him but everyone watching.

Even the King and Queen turned their heads toward them.

"One more cup and one kiss on the cheek. I know you enjoy it when others envy you," Lilith whispered into his ear.

As she whispered, Richard happened to notice the guest he had been waiting for.

Who else could it be but Prince Charles—with his golden hair and handsome face that could make anyone mistake him for an angel.

Richard saw him walking slightly behind a middle-aged man clad in a dark crimson robe.

The man's face was ordinary, yet his sharp gaze carried an intimidating weight that could silence anyone it fell upon.

The nobles immediately stood when they saw him enter.

The man, however, only acknowledged the king and a few powerful figures.

Prince Charles, on the other hand, looked directly at Lilith.

Naturally, his eyes turned cold when he saw her face so close to that of a boy.

Without thinking further, Richard lifted his cup and downed it all in one go.

Heat rushed through his body, his skin flushed crimson, and his head spun as if it might detach from his neck.

"Sister, let's do it!" Richard said boldly.

"Boy, as I thought—you really are a naughty one," Lilith replied, chuckling softly.

Then she actually placed her soft red lips on his cheek.

Though it might have looked like an affectionate kiss an adult would give a child—perhaps because Lilith genuinely found him adorable—it still caused an uproar, drawing everyone's attention back to Richard.

People restrained themselves from commenting, not wanting to appear rude in front of the Lord of Crimson Veil.

Even if that faction had little to do with them, its power was far too immense to provoke.

Throughout the entire Land of Humans, few dared challenge the Order of the Crimson Veil.

Naturally, the situation felt rather awkward.

Lilith, however, remained perfectly composed—she took a sip of her wine, acting as if she wasn't obligated to acknowledge the Lord's presence at all.

Meanwhile, the King and Queen, though they had been in conflict, still approached the man together.

The Lord of Crimson Veil didn't seem to care about Lilith's actions—he likely regarded them as nothing more than harmless amusement.

Prince Charles, on the other hand, had his hands trembling, though his expression remained composed.

"Lord of Crimson Veil!" The King, Queen, and several elite nobles greeted the man respectfully.

The King smiled brightly as he said, "It is an honor for our humble kingdom to receive such a distinguished guest."

"The Holy Star Kingdom and the Order of the Crimson Veil share deep ties. Your Second Grand Ancestor is also one of ours, so it is only natural that we visit each other," the Lord of Crimson Veil replied kindly.

Despite his intimidating aura, his tone was surprisingly friendly.

"Hahaha, indeed, indeed..." the King laughed. "But if I may ask, is our Second Grand Ancestor still with you?"

The King's question made all the nobles perk up their ears.

The Second Grand Ancestor might have failed to obtain the World Magic Aether, but he had survived—and later continued his path within the Order of the Crimson Veil, where greater opportunities awaited him.

However, it had been ages since he last appeared in or returned to the Holy Star Kingdom.

The King and everyone present wanted to know whether he was still alive.

If he was, it meant the Holy Star Kingdom still had a formidable backer.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC136: Angry

Chapter 136: Angry

Everyone waited for the Lord of the Crimson Veil's response, but he remained silent for quite some time.

That silence made people suspect the answer wouldn't be good news.

Even if the Lord of the Crimson Veil were to say that the Second Grand Ancestor was still alive and well, it would still be difficult for them to believe it.

The King swallowed hard. The longer the Lord of the Crimson Veil stayed quiet, the more nervous he became.

The Queen was no different. After all, she too was of royal blood—though from a side branch of the royal family.

"Your Second Grand Ancestor is still alive," the Lord of the Crimson Veil finally said after a long pause, "but he has nearly reached his limit. Unless he can advance another step into the Ancient Sovereign Realm, the next time he appears may very well be the last day of his life. Several battles have already drained his vitality and lifespan."

The hall fell silent upon hearing those words.

First of all, though Magi had long lifespans, they were not immortal. Usually, powerful Magi would seal themselves within special places to prolong their lives.

They might be confined, but at least they could continue cultivating.

However, during extreme battles, they sometimes burned their life force to unleash great power—shortening their own lifespans.

If someone had lived for so long and still roamed the world freely, that person must be extraordinarily strong—either far beyond most Ancient Sovereigns or already nearing the power of a Grand Sovereign.

"Ahem..." The Lord of the Crimson Veil cleared his throat, for even the King had fallen silent.

"My apologies..." The King quickly spoke up.

"Lord of the Crimson Veil, please, I've prepared an excellent wine for you," the King said politely.

The Lord of the Crimson Veil nodded and followed the King to the most prestigious seat in the banquet hall.

"By the way, Lord of the Crimson Veil, I imagine you must have a special purpose for coming here. May I know what it is?" the King asked carefully, curiosity evident in his tone.

"I do have a purpose—two, in fact," the Lord of the Crimson Veil replied.

"Oh..." The King was slightly surprised to hear that.

However, a hint of worry formed in his heart—he feared this man had come to help his disciple propose to Lilith.

After all, Prince Charles had already proposed to Lilith more than once. It wasn't that the King disapproved, but he had no control over Lilith's personal choices or whom she wished to be with.

Now that she had clearly not rejected Richard, the King had no choice but to accept their engagement.

If the Lord of the Crimson Veil came to help his disciple pursue Lilith, things could become quite complicated.

"First, I wish to recruit that boy genius named Richard into the Order of the Crimson Veil. Our elders have shown interest in him," the Lord of the Crimson Veil continued.

Upon hearing this, the King's expression remained calm.

To him, it was only natural for a great organization to want to recruit Richard.

It was even good for the boy—so long as he was smart enough to use their protection and influence to his own advantage.

This posed no problem for the kingdom. What mattered most was that Richard was from their realm and indebted to their nation. If he truly became a powerhouse in the future, the kingdom would benefit greatly.

"I'm not sure if he'll agree or not. So far, I suspect he already has a powerful backer," the King replied. "Then, what is your second purpose?"

The King was far more concerned about the second one.

Even if Richard joined the Order of the Crimson Veil, the Lord could still be biased toward his disciple.

If Richard refused, then the Lord would likely lose interest altogether.

"I seek your assistance," said the Lord of the Crimson Veil.

The King was stunned upon hearing that.

Since the man was asking for his help, it likely had nothing to do with helping his disciple propose to Lilith. If that were the case, he would've said it directly rather than frame it as a request for help.

Still, the King couldn't help but wonder—what kind of assistance could this man possibly need from him?

"What kind of help?" he asked again.

"One of our Grand Ancestors wishes to borrow the Clone Artifact owned by your daughter. He promises to return it and is willing to bind his oath with the World Magic Aether. Of course, he will pay your daughter handsomely," the Lord of the Crimson Veil explained.

"This..." The King's eyes widened in shock upon hearing that.

No one in the hall knew that he was already Lilith's slave, bound by a Slave Seal—and he was not yet prepared to die resisting it.

Given that situation, the person he feared most in the world right now was his own daughter.

How could he possibly dare to make such a request of her?

"Lord of the Crimson Veil, perhaps you should speak to Lilith directly," the King finally said.

"I know your daughter doesn't like us much. If I speak to her personally, I'm afraid she'll refuse without hesitation," the Lord replied calmly.

The King opened his mouth but found himself speechless. Just as he was trying to think of what to say next—

BANG!

A loud crash echoed through the hall as one of the tables shattered into pieces.

"What?" The King was startled, turning toward the source of the sound—only to see that the table in question was the one where his daughter sat with Richard.

And it was Richard who had smashed it.

"What's wrong with him?" the King muttered in confusion. No one had approached that table.

He wondered why the boy suddenly looked so furious—until he noticed Richard's flushed red face and wide, burning eyes.

Looking closer, it became clear that Richard was glaring straight at Prince Charles.

"What are you looking at? Why are you staring at me like that?!" Richard suddenly shouted at Prince Charles, sounding like a drunk thug provoked by someone's gaze.

But in truth, Charles's glare wasn't exactly pleasant either—it was filled with murderous intent. So it wasn't strange that the heavily intoxicated Richard took offense to it.

Charles was utterly stunned. He hadn't expected Richard to yell at him so brazenly.

Even if the boy was drunk, such courage was beyond what he imagined.

"What? Are you upset that I'm engaged to Lilith? So what if you are? You can't change our fate. Lilith belongs to me. You think this is a joke, but she herself told me I'm her type—and that she wants to make me her lover once I'm grown!" Richard went on ranting at Charles.

Every word he said shocked everyone again and again.

His body might have seemed weak, but his voice carried loud and clear.

"You should've learned to give up after being rejected over and over again by Lilith, instead of holding a grudge against me—her chosen one! And now, what? You brought your teacher here to help you? Hah! If he dares, I'll make sure he returns home without his hands and feet!"

BANG!

Richard slammed his cup down, shattering it into pieces after finishing his outburst.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC137: Sleep

Chapter 137: Sleep

'Oh, damn!' The King nearly staggered when he heard Richard's words.

It would've been one thing if Richard had only shouted at Charles—but what he said next also dragged in his teacher, the Lord of the Crimson Veil, and even threatened to send him home without hands or feet.

Even if he was drunk, one could not simply escape punishment for such insolence under the excuse of intoxication.

The King glanced nervously at the Lord of the Crimson Veil—but to his surprise, the man remained completely calm. He didn't look angry or even remotely annoyed.

He simply observed Richard, as though the boy's words didn't affect him in the slightest.

However, the other members of the Order of the Crimson Veil were not so composed.

One of them—a bald old man wearing a crimson robe—pointed a finger toward Richard.

"Boy! Such insolent words! If you have a father, call him here so I can teach him how to raise his son properly!" the bald elder roared.

"Old man, this has nothing to do with you," Richard replied coldly, dismissing him outright before turning his attention back to Charles, whose expression now looked worse than a pig's backside.

The only reason Charles didn't act was likely because he still had enough pride not to start a brawl with a child in public.

"Richard, calm down!" Lilith, who stood behind him, touched his hand, clearly uncomfortable with how chaotic things were becoming.

"Lilith, don't interfere—unless you say, right here and now, that you'll only be my wife in the future," Richard shot back.

He had completely lost control of himself.

Lilith's intention had only been to see what he'd look like drunk—maybe stumbling a little or slurring his words.

Who would've thought that instead of losing his balance, he'd turn vicious and start lashing out at Charles?

Lilith rolled her eyes, and suddenly everyone's gaze turned to her.

"Ahem..." She cleared her throat.

"We're already engaged—what more are you worried about?" she said at last, reluctantly indulging Richard's demand, her words slightly vague but her meaning unmistakable.

She did it only to prevent things from escalating further.

Charles wasn't someone she particularly cared about—but what worried her was the potential wrath of the Lord of the Crimson Veil.

"The matter isn't over yet," Richard said after Lilith spoke.

"You brat!" The bald old man glared so hard it looked like his eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.

Of course, to him, the matter wasn't over either—but it wasn't supposed to be Richard who said that.

Richard ignored him and pointed at Charles again.

"What did you mean by sending people to spy on me nonstop? Were you planning to rob me because I obtained something from the Dragon Knight's secret site?" he shouted.

"Boy, what are you implying by accusing me like that?" Charles finally responded, unable to accept such an accusation.

Robbery might have been common among Magi, but among nobles—especially during such gatherings—many still cared about their reputation.

People exchanged glances, particularly those who had also sent spies to watch Richard but had stopped after he killed Austin.

"Don't play dumb," Richard sneered. "If you want to rob me, then do it. If you need your teacher's help, go ahead. Do you think I'm afraid of you?"

"..."

"Richard, you need to go home now!" Lilith quickly covered Richard's mouth from behind, then leapt into the air with incredible speed, taking him with her.

They vanished from everyone's sight in an instant.

In truth, Richard had no idea what happened afterward.

Lilith hadn't merely taken him away—she had knocked him unconscious.

Even though she normally wouldn't have been able to knock him out so easily, the wine's effects made it different this time.

When he fainted, he fell into a deep sleep—and only woke when sunlight hit his face.

His eyes opened to see an exquisite ceiling adorned with crystal carvings that shimmered faintly.

The bed beneath him was enormous and soft, and the room itself was filled with dresses, shoes, and jewelry displayed neatly within glass cabinets.

A delicate fragrance filled the air, instantly refreshing his mind—though his head still throbbed slightly as he tried to sit up.

Of course, he remembered everything.

His consciousness had been clear at the time; he simply couldn't control himself.

And he didn't regret it.

Scolding Charles had been something he needed to get off his chest.

It was just a shame he hadn't gone further—otherwise, he might've asked the Fire Spirit Queen to burn the prince to ashes.

Now, looking around, he wasn't sure where he was—but he suspected this was Lilith's residence, perhaps even her private chamber.

He walked to the slightly open window, pushing it wider to look outside—only to find an enormous courtyard.

"This is... the Palace," he muttered, stunned as he realized where he was.

He quickly went to the door, stepping out into a grand, luxurious sitting room.

However, Lilith was nowhere to be seen.

Spotting a large door that looked like an exit, he moved toward it and opened it—only to find a long corridor.

There, two maids were walking from the other end, carrying trays of food.

"Sir Richard, you're awake," they greeted.

It seemed they were bringing the meal for him.

"Where is Princess Lilith?" Richard asked.

"Sir Richard, Princess Lilith is currently busy. We were instructed to serve you in her place. She also told us to ask you not to wander until she returns," one of the maids replied.

"Is something wrong?" Richard asked again.

"Mm... we don't know. We were only told to deliver the message," one maid said nervously.

Richard frowned. Something was definitely off.

"Take the food back. I'm not hungry," he said, turning away and stepping back into the room.

But then, he leapt out the window—landing right in front of two guards.

They were startled, almost drawing their swords, but stopped when they realized it was Richard.

Richard didn't even glance at them and simply left.

No one tried to stop him as he exited the palace grounds and ran toward the banquet hall.

However, before he could get there, a slender hand suddenly pulled him into a carriage.

He could've resisted—but when he saw who it was, he stopped.

The Red Star Empress.

He hadn't expected her to be inside such an ordinary-looking carriage.

"Your Majesty," he greeted.

"Richard," the Empress said calmly, "your caretaker from the orphanage—Lisa—has been kidnapped."

Richard's eyes widened at the words.

"Where is she now?" he asked anxiously.

"Calm yourself. She wasn't taken because of you—but because of Lilith," the Empress replied, confusing him even more.

"What do you mean?"

"It's because Lilith refused to lend her Clone Artifact to the Order of the Crimson Veil. As a result, the Lord of the Crimson Veil took matters into his own hands—and kidnapped Lilith's close friend."

Richard: "..."

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC138: Everyone Moves

Chapter 138: Everyone Moves

It wasn't because of him, but how could Richard not worry when Sister Lisa was kidnapped?

He finally realized how dominant the Order of the Crimson Veil truly was.

"Your Majesty, where is the Lord of the Crimson Veil?" Richard asked.

He was sure that man couldn't be too far away. He wasn't an Ancient Sovereign, nor even a Ruler—his strength was still far from being able to tear through space-time.

"In Moon Town. It's the nearest small city to the capital," the Empress replied.

"Richard, even though you have powerful backers, facing the Order of the Crimson Veil is no simple matter. They are one of the top factions in the entire world and have a Magus who is truly terrifying. Even with your supporters, they won't be easy to deal with. If you wish to save your caretaker, there's another way. The Lord of the Crimson Veil desires to recruit you into his Order. If you join them, he will surely release your caretaker and find another way to pressure Lilith."

"That's impossible," Richard replied immediately.

After saying that, he stepped down from the carriage.

He had no intention of searching for Athena again and directly flew away on his airship, heading swiftly toward the direction of the rising moon.

During his stay in the capital, he had heard of Moon Town, so he knew the direction clearly.

If it were the entire Order of the Crimson Veil, even the combined support of the Fire Spirit Queen and his ancestor might not be enough.

But he only needed to face the Lord of the Crimson Veil. That wasn't a serious problem at all.

Everything else could be thought about later. After all, he still had the Skylight Clan as his backing.

The airship quickly left the capital behind. Richard sat on the deck with a serious expression, eager to arrive as soon as possible.

He planned to summon the Fire Spirit Queen and ask her to personally control the airship for faster travel.

But just as his airship entered the skies above a silent forest, a figure with golden hair suddenly appeared in front of it, wearing a wide, cold grin.

"Boy, where do you think you're going?" the man said icily, his sharp eyes filled with killing intent.

No, he wasn't alone—an old bald man in a crimson robe stood beside him, looking rather pleased.

With their flight ability, both landed easily on the airship's deck.

"Hahaha, boy, I want to see if you can still act arrogant now," the old bald man sneered.

Richard couldn't care less. His gaze only rested on the blond man—Charles.

"What took you so long? I've been waiting. Honestly, you're too much of a coward. If I were you, I'd have robbed me long ago, even inside the city," Richard mocked, his words only worsening Charles's expression.

"Mm, what a coincidence. I think I can take you as a hostage and exchange you for Sister Lisa..." Richard suddenly came up with the idea, realizing that rescuing her directly from the Lord of the Crimson Veil wouldn't be easy—even with overwhelming power.

That man was the leader of a major faction, surely possessing methods to instantly kill his captive even if he himself were rendered helpless.

"Arrogant brat!" The bald man stomped hard on the deck.

"Boy, if you wish to live, hand over the Dragon Knight's inheritance to us!" he roared.

Every time he opened his mouth, Richard lost more interest in talking.

He opened a portal to the Dragon Hall and commanded the Fire Spirit Queen to come forth.

Naturally, the woman appeared immediately—she had never been asleep inside the Dragon Hall.

Her beauty was breathtaking. Even without releasing her aura, Charles and the bald man froze in shock, instinctively growing wary.

"He has a Hidden World," the bald man muttered, still not realizing how powerful the Fire Spirit Queen truly was. On the surface, she appeared just like a normal human.

"Queen, kill the bald one and capture the other," Richard ordered casually.

Even now, he remained seated, not feeling the need to rise.

Each time he gave orders, the Fire Spirit Queen would frown slightly.

Still, she stepped forward.

The bald man seemed about to speak again, but as she took that step, his mouth opened—and then froze, unable to utter a single sound.

His mouth stayed wide open, stretching slightly beyond its natural limit.

Buzz!

His body suddenly ignited, flames consuming him instantly. In just a moment, he was reduced to ashes, scattered by the wind.

Richard was momentarily stunned, thinking, That's too powerful.

Bang!

Charles's body was pulled violently through the air and slammed down in front of Richard, his head bleeding.

"You..." he muttered, unable to believe what had just happened.

In his mind, Richard indeed had something to rely on—but he never expected the person beside him to be this terrifyingly strong.

Charles had always been confident in his power. Even against his own teacher, he could at least endure one or two exchanges.

But before this woman, he was utterly helpless.

After all, she had just reduced the bald man—a senior elder of the Order of the Crimson Veil, even stronger than Charles—into ashes within seconds.

"Boy, what else do you want me to do?" the Fire Spirit Queen asked suddenly, clearly impatient with being ordered around and wanting to finish quickly so she could return to solitude.

Since she spoke, Richard could no longer be bothered to look at Charles.

That man no longer qualified for his attention.

Unfortunately, he still needed him alive to exchange for Sister Lisa.

"Do you see that small city ahead?" Richard asked.

The Fire Spirit Queen gave a light nod.

"Then take me there right now," he ordered.

Whoosh!

The space before the airship tore open, and the vessel automatically entered the rift.

Moments later, it emerged again—above a small city about the size of Apple Town, yet far more prosperous, filled with grand, luxurious buildings.

MY SYSTEM INCREASES MY POWER EVERY DAY WITHOUT MISSIONS AND LEVELLINGC139: Invitation

Chapter 139: Invitation

Richard thought it would be easy to observe this small city with his spiritual waves, so he immediately spread a thin wave to locate the Lord of the Crimson Veil.

And he found him easily — in the mansion of the city's ruler, who appeared to be hosting a small banquet attended by certain nobles who were, in truth, official members of the Order of the Crimson Veil.

The Lord of Moon Town was a middle-aged man with a tough demeanor, seemingly on friendly terms with the Lord of the Crimson Veil.

Richard even saw Aldous there — the man whose son he had killed.

He also saw Lilith, who had just arrived and was approaching the Lord of the Crimson Veil, appearing to converse with him.

Lilith clearly wasn't too afraid of him. Though weaker, she was confident she could escape from him if needed — especially since the one present in the capital was merely her weak clone. Even if it were destroyed, it didn't matter at all; she could simply make another one.

That was why the Lord of the Crimson Veil couldn't force her directly and resorted to other means, such as kidnapping her friend.

Richard scanned the surroundings but couldn't sense Sister Lisa's presence anywhere in Moon Town.

"Queen, let's head to the city lord's mansion," Richard said.

The Fire Spirit Queen followed his order, instantly transporting Richard's airship to the mansion and landing directly in its courtyard.

The noise naturally drew the attention of everyone inside.

The front wall of the main hall was made of glass — they could clearly see outside.

Richard's sudden arrival shocked them.

But their gazes couldn't help but be drawn to the crimson-haired woman beside him.

Her beauty and charm were overwhelming, even though she emitted no aura of power, making her seem almost like an ordinary human.

It took them a moment before they noticed Charles — bleeding from the head and looking utterly powerless.

The moment they saw Charles injured and captured, everyone froze in disbelief.

"Queen, bring him," Richard ordered before stepping into the mansion.

The Fire Spirit Queen merely followed him, carrying Charles with a faint trace of her power — his body floated helplessly in the air, dragged behind her.

"Crimson Veil Lord, if you wish to have your disciple back, return Sister Lisa," Richard declared as he entered the Moon Town Lord's mansion, acting as though everything was firmly within his control.

The Lord of the Crimson Veil furrowed his brows — he clearly hadn't expected this boy to show up and interfere.

And worse, he had brought his disciple as a hostage.

But how could he allow himself to be used so easily?

He suddenly extended his hand toward the Fire Spirit Queen, who was holding Charles.

His hand, hidden under his robe, appeared to enlarge — or perhaps it was merely an illusion. Relying on his power, he could reach across a vast area to seize anything he wished.

He intended to snatch Charles directly from the Fire Spirit Queen.

But suddenly, flames ignited from his hand.

Buzz!

They burned his flesh to ashes at an unimaginable speed, his eyes widening in shock.

His other hand moved swiftly, turning razor-sharp — and he used it to sever his own arm before the fire could climb up to his shoulder.

In an instant, his hand fell — only to turn to ash as well.

The sight made everyone tremble, their breathing heavy as they stared at the Fire Spirit Queen, finally realizing how terrifying this woman truly was.

Yet, even with his arm severed and blood dripping from the wound, the Lord of the Crimson Veil showed no sign of pain whatsoever.

"Crimson Veil Lord, unless you wish to fight," Richard said, narrowing his eyes in threat.

"Return him, and I'll return the woman to you," the Lord of the Crimson Veil replied.

"You haven't shown me where Sister Lisa is," Richard countered.

"I'm holding her within my Hidden World. With a single thought, I can ensure her death."

The man wasn't intimidated by Richard's threat — instead, he countered with one of his own, his tone firm and calm.

After a moment of thought, Richard glanced at the Fire Spirit Queen, signaling her to throw Charles.

He could afford to yield for now. If the Lord of the Crimson Veil dared to play tricks, the Fire Spirit Queen could easily kill him — and his disciple along with him.

Bang!

The Fire Spirit Queen didn't bother being gentle — she hurled Charles with tremendous force toward the Lord of the Crimson Veil.

Charles, still somewhat conscious, was slammed hard enough to jolt him fully awake.

He looked enraged, but before he could speak, the Lord of the Crimson Veil pulled him into his Hidden World.

Moments later, Sister Lisa's figure appeared before them, unharmed — though she looked confused as her eyes darted around the unfamiliar place.

Whoosh!

Her body was instantly pulled to Richard's side.

The Fire Spirit Queen had been instructed beforehand to retrieve Sister Lisa the moment she appeared.

Those nearby exhaled in relief, seeing the exchange proceed smoothly.

It was certainly better than if they had started a fight.

What surprised Richard, however, was that the Lord of the Crimson Veil looked unusually calm afterward, his eyes fixed on him.

"Richard," he called out, using his name instead of "boy."

"What?" Richard replied curtly.

"We, the Order of the Crimson Veil, would like to invite you to join us. If you do, we can provide you with everything you could ever need," he said.

Given how he had just treated him, Richard was surprised the man could still extend an invitation in such a calm tone.

"Hehehe, Crimson Veil Lord, I think your Order still isn't being sincere," Lilith suddenly interjected with a teasing smile. "You should know how extraordinary Richard's talent is. But when inviting him, you only talk? At least offer him a gift directly. And to think you even dared threaten me, his fiancée."

"Everything can be mended," the Lord of the Crimson Veil said evenly. "The only reason I acted that way was because the Grand Ancestor — the one who desires your Clone Artifact — has been pressuring me as well."

Richard had to admit, he was somewhat impressed by the man's composure.

He couldn't tell whether this was his true nature — or whether he was simply a master at concealing his real face.

"So, what do you say, Richard?" the Lord of the Crimson Veil asked again.

"In the Order of the Crimson Veil, a genius like you could gain great authority — perhaps even authority greater than mine."

"What if I'm suddenly robbed the moment I arrive there?" Richard asked skeptically.

"When you possess treasures, many will covet them. That is normal. What happened before was due to a few individuals within our Order — not the Order of the Crimson Veil itself. Even if I were the one who acted, that would not represent the Order as a whole.

If we speak of the true Order of the Crimson Veil, it can only be represented by our most powerful Grand Ancestor, who holds absolute authority over us all. I can tell you this — that Grand Ancestor would never be interested in something as minor as the Dragon Knight's inheritance. Such things only attract people like us.

But if you obtain great authority within the Order, tell me — who would dare rob you then?"
