The moment the Chief Butler left the room, silence settled over the mansion once again.
Shunya remained seated beside the drawer for a few moments, his eyes lingering on the countless coins neatly arranged inside.
"So these are my... hobbies." Shunya smiled helplessly, "I suppose the original owner had expensive tastes."
Unlike ordinary collections, every coin rested inside a separate velvet compartment. Some were placed inside transparent crystal cases, while others were carefully wrapped in soft silk as though they were priceless treasures.
Shunya reached out and picked up the nearest one. It was surprisingly heavy. Indeed it was a gold coin.
Its surface had dulled with age, yet the craftsmanship remained exquisite. On one side was the profile of an unknown king wearing a crown of leaves instead of jewels. The reverse carried an enormous tree whose roots spread to the very edge of the coin.
"Indeed... Beautiful"
