Chapter 170 - Chapter 169: Meeting Lorelei

Beneath the white clouds, Charizard carried Natsui and Sabrina, soaring through the sky as it flew rapidly southward.

The clouds blocked the sun, and the strong winds dispersed the oppressive heat, so even though they were high in the air, it didn't feel overly hot.

On the contrary, the crisp, cold air currents hit their faces, forcing Sabrina to lean tightly against Natsui's back to shield her fair skin from the direct chill.

Feeling the two soft mounds behind him, Natsui's heart skipped a beat, but he also understood what she meant.

Without hesitation, he patted Charizard's neck, prompting it to fly a bit lower.

At this moment, below them was an endless expanse of azure sea. They had been flying for a long time since leaving Porta Vista, and only now could they finally see a chain of islands of various sizes in the distance.

From the air, these islands were scattered irregularly. Although they seemed unconnected, they were within sight of each other and not very far apart. The islands were lush with greenery and yet isolated from the mainland, giving Natsui a sense of serene, worldly detachment.

"Sabrina, look, there are islands ahead!"

Hearing him, Sabrina peeked her head out. However, her voice was not very loud, and since they were flying against the wind, she had to press even closer to Natsui for him to hear what she was saying.

"Are these the Orange Islands?"

Natsui took out his phone. After a long flight with no reception, his phone finally picked up a weak signal, which meant there must be people living on the islands below.

However, after confirming their location, he shook his head.

"This isn't the Orange Archipelago. These are the Sevii Islands. We're still about halfway to the Orange Islands!"

The Sevii Islands?

This was the first time Sabrina had ever heard this unfamiliar name.

After all, she had always lived in the inland Saffron City, had never traveled far, and didn't pay much attention to current events, so she naturally wouldn't know about such a remote place.

Seeing Natsui directing Charizard to fly towards the first island, she couldn't help but ask, "What? Are we landing here?"

"That's right. The two of us, plus our luggage, weigh about 130 to 135 kilograms. Charizard has been flying for a long time, so it's time to let it rest and recover its strength. Besides, there's something here I'm very interested in. Let's go down and take a look."

Something he's interested in?

Sabrina raised an eyebrow. On this unplanned detour, she couldn't understand what on earth Natsui would be interested in!

The Sevii Islands, also known as the Sevii Archipelago.

It is a large group of islands located south of the Kanto mainland. As the name suggests, it is composed of seven large islands and several smaller surrounding islets, basically marking the farthest maritime boundary of the Kanto region's southern waters.

On the seven main islands, there is human activity, and several small towns have been built.

However, although people numbered the islands from One Island, Two Island, Three Island... all the way to Seven Island for convenience, they each had their own unique names.

For example, the island where Natsui and Sabrina were now landing, though called One Island by the locals, was officially named Knot Island.

The name "Knot Island" symbolized, just as it implied, that the Sevii Islands always welcomed fated guests from afar.

However, the town on One Island was not large. The people mostly made their living by fishing, and there were no tall buildings. Apart from a well-equipped small pier, the most luxurious building was the Pokémon Center in the very center of town.

Natsui directed Charizard to land on a beach just outside the town.

All around, as far as the eye could see, were sparkling sands and large, uncollected pearls. Under the sunlight, the entire beach seemed to shimmer with a crystalline glow!

After taking a picture with his phone, Natsui picked up a few smooth, round Big Pearls and put them in his backpack as a special souvenir.

Once he was done, he brushed the sand off his clothes and entered the town with Sabrina, heading towards the pier.

There was a small tavern there. Although the town had a free Pokémon Center, they didn't go there. Instead, they left Charizard outside the tavern with some food, then pushed open the door and went inside.

Compared to the deserted streets, the tavern was much more crowded, though it seemed to be filled mostly with elderly fishermen sitting in small groups in the corners, talking in low voices.

Upon the sudden entry of Natsui and Sabrina, the men all turned their heads. In an instant, the entire tavern fell silent.

The people stared at them for a long time, only turning their gazes away after the couple sat down at the bar, at which point the usual murmur resumed.

"What can I get for you two?"

The speaker was the equally elderly bar owner. He was wiping a clean plate while looking them up and down with a scrutinizing gaze.

"Two ice waters to start," Natsui said, not seeming to mind the man's stare. "By the way, do you have any local specialties? We'll have two orders of whatever that is."

"In that case, I'll get you—"

But before the owner could finish his sentence, a woman suddenly plopped down on the stool next to them.

"Owner, get them two orders of our Sevii Islands' special seafood fried rice. Put it all on my tab!"

Hearing her say this, Natsui and Sabrina both turned their heads towards the woman.

She had long, vibrant red hair tied back in a ponytail, and she was wearing a form-fitting skirt, black stockings, and high heels, along with a pair of glasses.

She wasn't exceptionally beautiful, but she was definitely attractive.

In terms of demeanor, she had an intellectual charm, but what was most noticeable was her impressively busty figure!

Truly magnificent!

At least, among all the people Natsui had ever met, no one had reached such heights!

However, judging by her attire, she, like Natsui and Sabrina, seemed out of place among the locals. Yet, no one, including the owner, gave her a second glance.

On the other side, after getting a clear look at her face, Sabrina said with some surprise, "Are you... Miss Lorelei?"

"Long time no see, Miss Sabrina," Lorelei smiled, then looked Natsui up and down. "And, if I'm not mistaken, you must be this year's new Indigo Conference champion, right?"

It really is Lorelei!?

As one of the Elite Four, Lorelei was also an Ice-type master. He never expected that they would meet here of all places!
