Seeing it about to act, Natsui added another warning. "Be careful yourself. Don't get caught by a Dark Ball. If that happens, no one will be able to beat you! And remember, you must destroy those Dark Balls and release the controlled Pokémon!"
"Don't worry," Gengar said, puffing out its chest. "As long as I don't want to be, no one can catch me."
With that, Gengar dived directly into the shadows and rapidly approached the mechanical spider from underground.
At that moment, on the main battlefield, Lance was still trying to break through Vicious's line of defense.
He pointed to an exposed vulnerability and shouted, "Aerodactyl, charge through there!"
As a ferocious Pokémon from ancient times, the theory that Aerodactyl went extinct due to a massive meteor impact has been deeply rooted in people's minds. Vicious was terrified.
Whose Pokémon is this? When did it appear? And how did it get so close to me?
With no time to think, he quickly looked around and commanded his evil Pokémon, "Quick, all of you, get them! You must get the Dark Balls back!"
Before the evil Pokémon could even move, Gengar let out a cackle at Vicious, revealing four white fangs. At the same time, its left hand glowed with a dark light, forming a Shadow Ball, which it then slammed into the Dark Balls in its right hand.
BOOM!
Under the powerful energy of the Shadow Ball, the Dark Balls were instantly shattered.
"No!!"
Vicious's eyes were wide with fury.
After Mewtwo had awakened and destroyed the laboratory where it was created, these were the last few Dark Balls left in Team Rocket, the very foundation of his power.
Grunts could be recruited again if they died, and Pokémon could be captured again if they ran away. But the Dark Balls, once broken, could not be replaced.
Just then, freed from the control of the Dark Balls, the dark light in the eyes of the controlled Pokémon, including the evil Dragonite, disappeared. Their bodies paused, and they regained their self-awareness.
It was only at this moment that Lance and Clair realized what had happened.
They looked at the Gengar in the air, then turned to look at the calm Natsui, and both let out a sigh of relief.
"Well done!"
On the other side, seeing that all the Pokémon had regained their senses, Vicious realized the situation was dire.

He waved for his Pokémon and was about to jump onto Dragonite's back when Natsui called out to him.
"Don't chase him. As they say, don't pursue a desperate foe. I think he still has more Dark Balls. If you go alone, you'll definitely fall into his trap."
