Chapter 320 - Chapter 319: The 14th Pokémon

Natsui moved his feet lightly, continuing to inch closer to the Larvitar. However, when the distance was close enough, even though he was extremely careful, he still alerted it.

Seeing a human, the Larvitar was suddenly startled, and the next second, it turned and ran.

Trying to run?

No way!

This was one of the few Pokémon from the Johto region that Natsui really liked. Having finally encountered one, how could he possibly let it escape?

He snapped his fingers, and just as the Larvitar had run about ten meters, Charizard suddenly descended from the sky, blocking its path.

The Larvitar looked up at the menacing Charizard before it, sensed that this big guy was not to be trifled with, and quickly changed direction from the heart, continuing to flee.

But before it could take a few steps, it saw a Gengar with a strange cackle suddenly pop its head out from the shadow of a rock in front of it.

It was startled and, in its panic, changed direction again, but ran right into the man who was blocking its path. It changed direction again, but then ran into another human female.

Now, surrounded on all four sides, it truly had no way to retreat.

A smile hung on Natsui's face. For some reason, this scene reminded him of watching wild boars being cornered in a watermelon field on TV.

The Larvitar before him was clearly a cornered little wild boar.

And looking closely, their expressions were indeed somewhat similar.

The Larvitar opened its mouth and made an intimidating sound, as if trying to scare Natsui and the others away. But it was just too small, only about 60 centimeters tall, and looked completely non-threatening.

Neither Charizard, Gengar, nor Sabrina took it seriously.

"Larvitar, calm down," Natsui said, crouching down and speaking gently. "Don't be afraid. I'm not a good person, you know."

!?

Hearing this, the Larvitar immediately bared two rows of sharp fangs, which made Sabrina, who was beside him, unable to hold back a chuckle. This opening line seemed somewhat familiar.

Taking a Poké Ball from his pouch, Natsui released his Dratini.

At that moment, he truly looked like a villain, his voice full of temptation. "You have only two choices before you. Have a battle with my Pokémon. If you lose, you will come with me from now on. If you win, I will leave you food as an apology and won't bother you again. How about it? Do you accept?"

Glancing around and seeing no escape, and then looking at the slightly cute Dratini in front of it, the Larvitar let out a series of grunts.

Natsui didn't understand what it meant and turned his head to Gengar. "Hey Gengar, don't just stand there. Translate for me, what did it say?"

Gengar shrugged. "It said you can dream on."

"Dream on?" Natsui stroked his chin, a bright smile on his face, and shook his head at the Larvitar.

"Unfortunately, that's not an option. I think it's quite pitiful for you to be all alone, having to run around for food. If you travel with me, you'll have food and shelter. Not only will you live in a comfortable Poké Ball, protected from the wind and rain, but you'll also be provided with delicious food to eat your fill every day. I guarantee your quality of life will improve dramatically."

However, the Larvitar was completely unmoved and became even more vigilant.

Seeing Natsui's failure, Gengar clutched its stomach and laughed heartily, without any sense of decorum.

Giving it a helpless look, Natsui cleared his throat and stood up.

"Alright, the jokes are over. Since you can't make a choice, I'll take that as you agreeing to battle me."

With that, he waved his hand and directly gave a command to Dratini. "This capture battle is up to you! Go, Dratini! Let it see what you're made of!"

Dratini, who had been eager for a while, immediately charged forward.

And under its assault, the Larvitar naturally wouldn't just take the hits, so it was forced to fight back.

The two Pokémon crashed into each other and, in an instant, were locked in a struggle.

And while they were battling, Natsui observed the Larvitar carefully from the side, with no intention of commanding.

It was just a battle between two first-stage Pokémon anyway; it wouldn't cause too much of a stir. He might as well let them fight it out on their own.

And after watching for a moment, he found that this Larvitar was still very weak and didn't know any advanced moves, just repeatedly using Bite and Tackle, occasionally mixing in a Rock Throw.

However, compared to other wild Pokémon in their initial stage, it was slightly stronger. Otherwise, it wouldn't be surviving on its own here.

But such strength still posed no threat to Dratini.

And most critically, while fighting, the Larvitar would always glance at Charizard and Gengar from time to time, as if it were very afraid that these two would launch a sneak attack without any sense of honor.

With its mind elsewhere, it naturally couldn't use its full strength and was increasingly at a disadvantage.

After taking several attacks from Dratini, perhaps wanting to try and break through again, it used the opportunity of a Tackle to push Dratini back and suddenly used Sandstorm.

Having hidden this move until now, it could be said that it had a surprising effect.

Yellow sand suddenly swept up, and the fine particles and pebbles kicked up by the sandstorm enveloped everyone and their Pokémon, temporarily blinding them.

Seeing this, the Larvitar chose a direction and fled again.

But perhaps the sound of its running was too loud. It was soon caught up by Dratini, which had shaken off the sand, and was then bound by its Bind, pinned to the ground.

This time, the Larvitar, out of stamina, fainted directly.

"Well done!"

Natsui first praised Dratini, then took out an empty Poké Ball and threw it at the Larvitar.

And at the moment the Larvitar was enveloped in the red light, Dratini's body was also suddenly surrounded by a white light.

Hmm? This light is… it's evolving?

Come to think of it, Dratini had been with him for a long time and had fought in many battles, big and small. It was indeed time for it to evolve.

The white light quickly disappeared, and a few seconds later, when Dratini reappeared before Natsui, it had transformed into the new form of Dragonair.

Compared to Dratini, Dragonair's body was more slender, covered in sapphire-blue scales. It had a pair of bright black eyes, a small white horn on its forehead, and two small, feathered wings on the sides of its head.

Overjoyed, Natsui couldn't help but take out his Pokédex again and point it at it.

Pokédex: Beep. Dragonair, the Dragon Pokémon. A Dragon type. Like its unevolved form, Dratini, they live in beautiful seas or lakes and are known as sacred Pokémon. Although they have no wings, they are occasionally spotted flying in the sky. They can ride the wind and ascend into the heavens by manipulating the power of the weather. They exude a mysterious aura and store a huge amount of energy in their bodies, which they can focus in the crystal-like orbs on their neck and tail to control the weather.

Just then, the Larvitar's Poké Ball, after flashing a few times, went out with a 'click'.

Excellent, this capture was also a success.

Not only had he gotten his 14th Pokémon, Larvitar, today, but Dratini had also evolved into Dragonair. It was a double blessing, and his strength had once again been enhanced.

But… the number of Pokémon he was currently carrying had reached the limit, and according to the settings, he had to immediately send one back.

So, who should I send back?
