Chapter 165 - The October Revolution

As the newly formed People's Army, made up entirely of commoners, rallied and surged into the royal palace with greater strength than ever before…

They arrived just in time to witness the end of Naruto's "ideological education" by Sabo's father.

At the very front, the vanguard burst into the throne room and immediately spotted their leader, Sasuke, covered in blood, speaking seriously to a towering man who stood there listening intently, like a student hanging on every word of his teacher.

"Leader!"

"Leader Sasuke!"

From within the crowd, concerned voices rang out, quickly drawing Sasuke's attention.

"Hm? You've returned. Did everything go smoothly?"

His expression softened into a warm yet commanding smile as he turned to the people.

"Perfectly!"

The soldiers he addressed immediately relaxed. Their eyes lit up like spring sunshine as they gazed at him with admiration and heartfelt devotion.

"Good…"

Sabo's father, Sasuke, nodded slightly, then turned back to Naruto and said calmly:

"I think you understand now… how important this revolution is, don't you?"

"Yes, Leader Sasuke!"

Naruto answered at once, sounding like a newly awakened revolutionary soldier who'd just come through years of ideological training.

Men who think with their muscles are often the easiest to convince, especially after undergoing Sasuke's particular brand of deeply refined "thought reform."

And so, Naruto was quickly welcomed into the revolution.

Sasuke took a moment, glancing at the ever-growing crowd of commoners gathering outside the palace gates. The time had come.

He sheathed the knight's sword at his hip, picked up the helmet he'd accidentally discarded earlier, and calmly began walking toward the palace entrance.

The sunlight poured over him.

The polished steel of his armor caught the light and gleamed brilliantly. The ruby embedded in his sword's hilt sparkled with fire, lending Sasuke an aura of solemn majesty and unshakable authority.

He strode forth like a general returning victorious from battle, emerging before the crowd with quiet power.

As he stepped out, he swept his gaze across the gathered citizens. The blood still drying on his armor glinted in the sun, harsh and vivid, but it only added to his image of courage and strength.

Though the royal courtyard was packed with people, not a single one stirred restlessly.

The entire inner city had gone silent.

Shing!

Sasuke suddenly drew his sword in one smooth motion.

The gleaming blade caught the sunlight, shining like a sacred relic, casting warmth and hope down on the crowd below.

"We—"

"Have WON!!!!"

WAAAAAAAAH,!!

The crowd erupted in a deafening celebration. Hats, scarves, and even coats were flung high into the air in a spontaneous outpouring of joy.

This moment symbolized their freedom, their final break from the class oppression that had ruled over them for hundreds of years.

From this day forward, the people themselves would lead!

They had ushered in a new era!

─────────🏴‍☠️─────────

This day would be remembered forever by the people of the Goa Kingdom.

Or rather… the Goa Republic.

On October 1st, Year 1519 of the Sea Circle Calendar, the people enshrined this day into their new constitution.

October 1st became known as Liberation Day, later also called the National Day.

Each year after, the Goa Republic would celebrate this day with a grand festival, a nation-wide jubilee.

This monumental battle would later be remembered as a revolution that changed the course of history, known simply as:

The October Revolution.

In one of Sasuke's later speeches, he declared:

"In the October Revolution, it was the people themselves who rose up against class oppression, not the nobles. This was not a movement led from above. It was the will of the people that claimed this victory!"

"The Goa Republic must continue to embody this revolutionary Mental Power, undaunted by hardship, unafraid of sacrifice, resilient, and always marching forward!"

Meanwhile…

Back in Sabo's former home, Luffy and his crew sat around a table, enjoying snacks and sipping drinks while watching the celebration through a nearby window.

They looked down at the crowds outside, reveling, cheering, laughing.

They observed it all like gods peering into a world built by mortals.

To them, it felt almost like watching a well-rehearsed stage play.

Robin gently set down her wine glass, dabbing her lips with her thumb in a gesture of effortless charm. She glanced through the window at the jubilant masses and said with an elegant sigh:

"So it's over, then… But I wonder, how long before the World Government steps in?"

"True equality is never so easily achieved."

With time, Robin had grown even more composed and insightful, not just in mind and behavior, but in presence.

"Who knows?" Luffy shrugged. "That noble guy said he could handle it."

He leaned back lazily in his chair, arms draped over the backrest, watching the distant celebrations with little interest.

Originally, Luffy had considered crushing the resistance outright, using force to clear the path and install Sabo's father as king.

But on second thought… he figured he had time to spare. So he decided to have some fun instead, teaching Sabo's dad everything he knew about government, politics, and society.

To Luffy's surprise, the old noble had been completely captivated, insisting on learning even more.

He absorbed Luffy's handful of advanced ideas like a sponge, then spent the next two years rallying the people and organizing the revolution himself.

Of course, things didn't go entirely smoothly, Luffy had quietly eliminated every major obstacle along the way.

In a sense, Sabo's father had been escorted all the way to power.

Tap tap tap!

Just then, a light tapping came from the window beside them.

Brook stood up with a grin, walked over, and opened it with a flourish.

"Welcome back, Nami-san! Great work out there!"

"Hmph!"

Nami ignored the greeting, looking thoroughly annoyed as she climbed through the window and plopped down in a chair, arms crossed. She turned to Luffy and exploded:

"I'm so pissed off!! That idiot noble made everything way more complicated than it needed to be! I could've handled it in five minutes!"

"Hahaha~"

Luffy chuckled and handed her a glass of juice, reaching out to gently pat her orange hair.

"Don't be mad, don't be mad… I just thought, since you can fly now, it'd be easier for you to handle."

"Next time, I swear I won't make you do it."

After all, Nami had never experienced the hardships of her childhood in this world. With the Dragon Slayer magic Luffy had gifted her early on, she'd been powerful and pampered from a young age.

She'd grown up a little spoiled, and it showed, she acted like a princess because, well… she was one to them.

Sure enough, after a few sips of juice and some attention from Luffy, Nami's expression began to soften.

Of course, most of her anger had been completely fake.

She just wanted Luffy to focus on her, to care about her a little more.

Now that she had his attention, there was no point in staying mad, she didn't want to push him away.

Watching her pout, Luffy chuckled to himself.

Between his two lifetimes, he was nearly forty years old.

Brook was pushing ninety.

Even Robin, though much younger than them, was still ten years older than Nami, and had always been the more mature one.

Everyone could clearly see that Nami was faking her tantrum.

But still, they doted on her like she was the team's beloved little sister.

Because to them, she truly was…

Their princess.

Outside, the cheers of the people still rang through the streets.

Luffy had no idea how long their joy would last…

But maybe, for today…

That was enough.
