Chapter 60 - 110

Chapter 110: Try using a needle?

"Even if Euron comes to Slaver's Bay, I will not agree to his demands." Daenerys said again, recalling Yara's earlier words about Euron, and knowing that Yara wouldn't lie to her.

"That would be best, of course." Yara was genuinely afraid that Daenerys would refuse her choice of her uncle Euron, since Euron now occupied the Iron Islands and possessed most of the Iron Islands' warships and soldiers, which would be of far greater help to Daenerys than her own.

Daenerys glanced at Tyrion, and seeing that he had nothing to say, she stood up from her seat and said, "I grant your request and will help you reclaim the Iron Islands at the appropriate time. After I become the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, the Iron Islands will still belong to House Greyjoy, and you will lead the Ironborn."

Daenerys solemnly promised Yara that the alliance was officially formed.

Yara's warships were temporarily stationed in the harbor, with some of the personnel remaining on board and others entering Meereen.

The next day at noon, Daenerys returned to her room after a busy day and found Drogon still fast asleep. She was a little surprised, as Drogon had been sleeping quite a bit lately, but he would usually wake up around noon.

She also wanted to wait for Zhuo Geng to wake up so she could fly around and relax. She had been quite busy lately and hadn't had time to ride Zhuo Geng in the sky. She was starting to miss the feeling of flying freely.

Seeing that Drogon, who had moved from his small den to her bed, showed no sign of waking up, Daenerys could only lie down next to him to rest, and then go about her other business in the afternoon.

When Daenerys returned home that evening, Drogon was still asleep, which made her a little worried.

Even if Zhuo Geng could sleep a lot, he should have woken up by now. She tried poking Zhuo Geng's stomach with her finger, but Zhuo Geng didn't even turn over and continued to sleep.

Daenerys nudged Drogon again, but he still didn't wake up.

"Drogon!" Daenerys sensed something was wrong.

"Drogon!" she called again, but Drogon still didn't respond, so Daenerys simply reached out and picked him up.

"Drogon, what's wrong?" Daenerys' voice was already trembling with tears.

At this moment, Zhuo Geng was limp in her arms and couldn't be woken up no matter how she called him.

"Ji Qi! Ji Qi!"

Jiqi is not far from this room. Before Drogon slept here, she would occasionally come over to keep Daenerys company.

Hearing Daenerys's somewhat flustered voice, Jiqi was startled and quickly ran over.

"Quickly, go and call Doctor Don. Drogon hasn't woken up since he fell asleep yesterday afternoon. I tried calling him just now, but he wouldn't wake up." Daenerys was so anxious that she was almost crying.

"Kalishi, don't worry, I'll go get the Unsullied right now." Jiqi reassured her and hurriedly ran to find the Unsullied guards. Don did not live in the pyramid.

After sending a guard to fetch Don, Kitty returned to Daenerys's room. Seeing Drogon, who was completely unresponsive in Daenerys's hands, Kitty's eyes reddened.

She has been feeding the three little dragons since they were born and cooking meat for them. Of all the people, apart from Daenerys and Shireen, she probably has the deepest bond with Drogon.

Seeing Drogon like a lump of mud in Daenerys's hands, she was terrified and didn't know what to do.

During the day, while tidying up Daenerys's room, she noticed that Drogon hadn't woken up yet, so she didn't dare to disturb him. Unexpectedly, he still hadn't woken up by nightfall.

After holding Zhuo Geng and waiting for almost twenty minutes, Doctor Tang En finally came in, panting, carrying a small bag.

Upon seeing Don, Daenerys quickly put Drogon back on the bed and asked him to check on Drogon's condition.

Don was troubled when the Unsullied Guard told him that Queen Daenerys's dragons were having problems. He hadn't done anything when Drogon injured his leg last time, and he didn't know what was wrong with Drogon this time.

If it's just an external injury, that's fine. But if it's something else, he'll really be worried. As a doctor who treats people, he really doesn't know how to treat a dragon.

After learning about Zhuo Geng's condition, Tang En felt a pang of bitterness in his heart. After carefully examining Zhuo Geng, he almost burst into tears.

He found nothing at all. The conclusion of the examination was that Zhuo Geng was sleeping. But how could someone who was sleeping be impossible to wake up no matter how much he called him?

How could he possibly tell the Queen the results of the examination?

He tried to push Drogon, but there was no response. He then secretly pinched the scales on his abdomen, but there was still no response. Don could only tell Daenerys the truth: he had not found any external injuries or other abnormalities in Drogon; he was just sleeping.

Daenerys wasn't too surprised by Drogon's test results; Drogon himself had fallen asleep while practicing calligraphy when he was perfectly healthy.

She called Don in as a last resort, hoping he could offer some different advice.

However, she did not receive a different answer from Don.

Don breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Daenerys didn't blame him for not detecting Drogon's abnormality.

Seeing Daenerys looking somewhat lost, Don hesitated for a moment before saying, "Your Majesty, could you perhaps try using a needle?"

"Needles?" Daenerys quickly understood what Don meant.

They tried calling out to him and patting him, but couldn't wake Zhuo Geng up. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with him, so they had to resort to more extreme methods to rouse him.

If she could wake her up, Daenerys would force Drogon to write something down to find out what was wrong with him.

"Jiqi, go and get the needle." Daenerys intended to use Don's method.

Ji Qi went out and quickly ran back, holding three kinds of needles of different lengths and thicknesses in her hand.

Daenerys took the needle from Jiqi's hand, but hesitated to use it. She steeled herself and gently poked Drogon's back with the longest needle, but there was no reaction.

She tried her best, but the needle still wouldn't go in, and Zhuo Geng didn't react.

She moved the needle to Zhuogeng's abdomen again, but still couldn't get it in.

Seeing that Daenerys hadn't even broken Drogon's skin, Don thought that Daenerys was reluctant to use force, so of course she couldn't wake the sleeping Drogon.

So he tentatively asked, "Your Majesty, do you need me to come?"

Daenerys glanced at Don and immediately understood what he was thinking: he must be doubting that she hadn't put in enough effort.

She couldn't help but find it a little funny. Tang En must not know that Zhuo Geng had been surrounded and attacked by hundreds of people, otherwise he wouldn't have thought that way.

Daenerys handed the needle to Don, wanting to see how he would insert it.

Taking the long needle, Tang En carefully inserted it into the gap between the scales on Zhuogeng's back, but despite his efforts, he couldn't get it in.

He hadn't expected Drogon's skin to be so tough. He glanced at Daenerys and, seeing that she showed no pity or intention to stop him, he plunged the needle into Drogon's abdomen.

He thought it was softer here and that it would be easy to insert the needle.

Avoiding the scales, I used even more force than before, but still couldn't pierce through.

Don was somewhat skeptical, so he squeezed the needle hard and tried to pierce it, but no matter how deep the needle tip went, he still couldn't get it in.
