Chapter 115 The Diligent Little Bee
Before they could even eat the meat they had painstakingly roasted, it was snatched away by the green dragon. Kova and his companions had no choice but to slaughter a few more sheep and continue roasting.
However, he had heard that if a sheep was eaten by a dragon, one could go to the Karasa of Nochikao to ask for money for the meat. Not only would one not suffer any loss, but one could also get nearly ten times more meat than the sheep that the dragon had stolen.
He was quite pleased with this; it seemed like an honor that his barbecue had caught the dragon's eye.
To his surprise, before the second batch of sheep was even roasted, the green dragon that had snatched their roasted sheep earlier flew back, drooling as before, and carried the sheep away.
He could tell that Green Dragon really wanted to eat his roasted lamb, but he didn't know why she would rather drool as she carried the lamb away than eat it here.
He wouldn't presume to think that he and his people could disturb her while she was eating.
Rego and Viserion were like two hardworking little bees, constantly traveling between the Skazadan River and the grasslands.
Zhuogeng's body is like a bottomless pit, readily consuming any food that comes his way, quickly replenishing the energy consumed by genetic recombination.
The body also underwent another painful transformation and rapid growth due to the energy replenishment.
New bone spurs sprouted on the body before the transformation was even complete, and the bone spurs that had already pierced the skin continued to grow.
The newborn forelimbs gradually darkened in color, developed small scales, and short bone spurs emerged from the bends of the legs.
His body continued to stretch and thicken, and Zhuo Geng even felt that his face was no longer his own. His mouth widened, his old teeth fell out completely, and only a portion of his new teeth grew in, which seriously affected his eating speed.
An hour later, as energy continued to replenish, the body's transformation gradually slowed down.
Knowing that his body had been greatly altered, Zhuo Geng weakly moved to the river and took another bath, then continued eating!
After the body is remodeled, it enters a rapid recovery period. The skin, flesh, and scales are almost completely replaced, and new scales are growing on the healed wounds.
The newly formed bone spurs have gradually stopped growing and their color has darkened.
The wound was most severe and healed the slowest at the side of the chest where the forelimbs grew out. He dared not exert any force there, but Zhuo Geng had not yet figured out how to use his forelimbs.
The wing is half his hand, and the claw is the other half of his hand, which is also his foot. Suddenly having an extra forelimb, is it to make him crawl?
Then he would really lose the joy of walking upright. Most importantly, although he has the body of a dragon, he has the heart of a human. If he really becomes a reptile in the future, would he still be human?
I'll just use my forelegs like hands! Imagining myself standing upright on my forelegs makes me look like a little dog trying to please its owner.
What a dilemma! Looking at his newly grown forelimbs, Zhuo Geng decided to wait until his wounds healed before considering how to use them.
With less pain in his body, Zhuo Geng had time to ponder the most likely cause of this physical transformation: the divine light.
Judging from its dim and lackluster appearance, one could guess that it used to be like a little sun, absorbing the power of faith in one's mind.
Despite harboring some resentment towards his forelimbs and having a hint of feigning innocence after gaining an advantage, Drogon had no choice but to thank the divine light.
He already felt an incredibly powerful force within this new body, at least twice as strong as before. And this was before the body had fully recovered; once the new body was fully grown, he didn't know how much stronger it would be than before.
After growing rapidly, the hunger was not so intense, and his appetite decreased significantly. However, he continued to eat to replenish his energy for repairing his new body.
More than an hour later, Zhuo Geng, who had stopped eating, was resting on the grass when he suddenly saw two horses coming from the other side of the river. The two men immediately saw Zhuo Geng and his two dragons across the river and decided to cross it.
They waded through a section of the river but found it too deep to cross, so they turned back.
Rego and Viserley also spotted the two on the other side of the river. They warily took flight from the grass, intending to cross the river and drive the two away, but were stopped by Drogon's low growl.
Drogon had already realized that the people opposite him were likely Unsullied who had come looking for him; they probably wanted to cross the river to check on his situation.
So, Zhuo Geng stood up from the grass and took two more steps, showing the two people opposite him that he was not only alive but also able to move.
Seeing that Drogon, who had been lying on the ground, had stood up, the two Unsullied discussed for a while. One of them turned his horse around and galloped towards Meereen, while the other stayed by the river to continue watching Drogon.
Seeing that only one of the two had left, Zhuo Geng couldn't help but find it amusing. He thought the two would go back together, but only one of them left, as if afraid that he would run away.
Rego and Viserion landed on the ground at Drogon's signal and continued eating their roast meat.
In order to make Zhuo Geng replenish his food quickly, they were so busy carrying sheep back and forth that they didn't even have time to eat themselves. They only started eating voraciously when they saw Zhuo Geng stop eating.
Inside the Meereen pyramid, Daenerys, her tears still wet on her face, sat in a chair, lost in thought. Missandei and Shireen were quietly keeping her company as she awaited news.
Of the twenty Unsullied who left the city, six have returned, but none have found Drogon or the other two dragons.
Daenerys would cry almost every time she heard that the Unsullied had brought no news, and each time she became more worried about Drogon's safety.
Seeing Zhuo Geng's state when he left, she knew clearly what kind of pain he was going through, and that his condition might get worse. As she thought about it, tears welled up in her eyes again.
Just then, an Unsullied rushed in, panting, and said, "Your Majesty! I... Little Pigeon and I have found Drogon. They are on the other side of the Skazadan River."
"You found Drogon? How is he now?" Daenerys suddenly stood up from her chair and walked quickly to the Unsullied, asking anxiously.
"The river is too deep for us to cross, but I saw that Drogon can stand up and walk, and Rego and Viserion are with him," the Unsullied quickly reported.
Upon hearing that Drogon was not only alive but could even walk, Daenerys burst into tears of joy and said to the guards outside the door, "Prepare the horses! I want to see Drogon."
She wouldn't feel at ease unless she saw it for herself; she couldn't stay here for even a second longer.
Hearing that Drogon was still alive, Shireen, who was next to Daenerys, was relieved. When she heard that Daenerys was going to see Drogon, she asked to go with her.
Accompanying Daenerys were Missandei, Jorah, and more than thirty guards.
The horses were quickly prepared, and Daenerys mounted them, galloping off with the Unsullied who had just been informed.
Drogon is not far from Meereen, only about fifty kilometers away. The Unsullied who went to find him could only search based on the general direction he flew away, which is why several squads failed to find him.
More than an hour later, they arrived at the other side of the river where Drogon was. Only after seeing Drogon in person did Daenerys feel relieved. She had someone test the depth of the river, but it was impossible to cross. Daenerys could only wave anxiously to Drogon.
Drogon had already spotted Daenerys and the others, and yelled at Rhaegal to go and fetch Daenerys across the river.
