When Vaelric stepped into the sacred Vault of Valkoron, he was swallowed by a blinding radiance. The light was so brilliant that it erased everything around him, yet he never faltered.
He knew at the back of his mind, that a great power was diverting him from his original destination...towards an unknown territory. In order words....towards an uncharted territory.
But regardless of where the power will take him, he continued forward with steady, fearless steps, allowing the sacred power to engulf him completely.
When the brilliance finally receded, he slowly opened his eyes and realized that it was still night. Which meant that it wasn't a world inside the vault.
It was actually where he knew and was familiar with.
A cool breeze stirred the leaves overhead, carrying with it the scent of damp earth and ancient trees. Before him stretched a forest cloaked in darkness, its towering branches weaving together like skeletal fingers against the moonlit sky.
