The group went straight towards an establishment with a sign hanging two crossed swords and a shield behind.
For some unknown reason he can read the letterings below as "guild".
"Welcome to the guild hall"
A tall lady welcomed the group with a smile as she inquired their purpose on coming.
"We would like to turn in a quest, also please issue a badge for our companion here"
"Sure, just a moment"
Albert handed the lady a piece of paper and the lady disappeared beyond the counter to check on something.
"I have checked the quest, as for the badge kindly fill out this form."
As Brig was contemplating if he could write, he lifted the pen and naturally wrote his name and the details asked on the form.
"Is it alright not to disclose everything?"
"Sure, but your name and age is mandatory"
He didn't really want to write "other world" on the hometown part so he was glad that the registration was lax.
"Now please hold on to this crystal"
"What does this do?"
He asked but didn't really care too much so he put his hand right away after secretly using appraisal on the crystal ball.
"Appraise"

Seeing the appraisal only giving a name, Brig was disappointed but the lady noticed it immediately.
"This crystal detects all criminals wanted by the guilds all over the continents, once you commit a crime and gets arrested, you will be listed on all databases on which your magical profile will be imprinted."
"Eh"
As he was thinking, the crystal ball shined a white light indicating something.
"No record. Okay for now you will start a bronze rank adventurer under the name Brig. As for the class you didn't put anything are you sure?"
"Technically, I didn't put anything since I don't know what classes are there but I would like to be a merchant I think?"
"No worries, we can include merchant here but we will have to submit it to the merchant guild later"
"So I need to register with them first before here?"
"Not necessarily. we will just inform them about you and collect the association fees later."
"Fees?"
"Yes, for some its just 2 silvers upon registration but for the merchant guild it will be 1 gold payable in 2 months."
"Why is it more expensive?"
"Each associations has its perks, as per the merchant guild.. theirs rotate around money so as one of them you have will benefits befitting for a merchant."
The lady receptionist calmly explained everything to Brig up to the last detail.
"Thank you so much for the information. but what happens if I cannot pay within 2 months?"
"Nothing at all, but you'll become unaffiliated again but you will not be able to re register as merchant for 6 months as a ban on not completing the payment."
"Ooh,"
"Its light but repeat it 2 times and you will be banned forever. wanted even."
"Okay, for now please register me as a merchant"
"Will do that"

As he finished registering, he went back to the group already discussing what to but since the sun is about to set already.
"You done?"
"Yep"
Albert casually asked Brig.
"The market is just ahead, lets check some things before dusk".

A few minutes away, they have arrived at a local market which contains all sorts of products like food, antiques weapons and even some colorful rocks and herbs alike.
