『Hakari Kotaro』
Feat Achieved! Heal Aizawa and Thirteen right after USJ incident
+1x Advantage Gold Random Gacha Ticket
"...Fuck me dead..."
"Language, young man."
I could only mutter as a sweaty pile of human remains on the couch, laying down in a room across from where Aizawa and Thirteen were located. Sweat dripped out of every pore on my skin. I was 100% sure that I was going to end up sick after this, you don't get to push yourself to this degree and walk out fine the next day. I had limited my healing only to the parts that Recovery girl couldn't easily do, but even then, with how little was left in my tank, it was a miracle I made it through.
It was only the combined efficiency of two healing abilities combined into a single rare one that got me through these hard times. So it turned out that Minor Healing Light was not a bad thing to roll after all. Even if I had my doubts with doubling up on White Mage.
"I... think.... I deserve to cuss after that one... I can still feel everything."
Recovery Granny patted me on the back gently before throwing the sweat soaked glove away and putting on a different one.
"Yes, but you should do that alone, I may not mind, but doing so in front of other professionals creates a bad image. Try to keep that habit to a minimum. Now, go lay on the actual bed sonny, those couches are not very comfortable, I know from experience."
Groaning and listening to her words, I pulled myself out of the couch, my body making strange creaking and cracking noises as I did so.
"Yes Grandma."
Instead of the sharp rebuke I expected, she just chuckled lightly.
"Save the wit for next time, Sonny. The staff will check on you later, you were supposed to be a patient too since you were part of the attack, so even if you helped others now, you still count as a patient. Get some real sleep, you will need it."
With that, she left the room and closed the door behind her, I put my hand above my eye and looked out from the gap between the windows, only a few hours had passed, it was past lunchtime. Yet for me, it felt like a lifetime and a half had passed. My body yearned for sleep.
...But this mind refused to rest until it learned what hidden treasures the Gold gacha promised.
Rolling Gold Random Gacha ticket with advantage...
[Regenerator]
|Elite Trait|
Your body is unusually receptive to all forms of healing. Your natural regeneration when not affected by anything is increased by 5x and all healing effects you receive are 2x more effective on you.
or
[Dark Hand]
|Rare Ability|
Dark Souls - This allows you to drain the lifeforce of the people you grab to add it to your own, the opponent must not be able to resist, in addition, you can cover your hand in dark hand to deal more damage or spread it out like a medium-sized shield.
Well now, that's actually a hard choice.
Dark Hand has variety, a barrier, an attack amplifier and something I could use it to both weaken targets and heal myself. But what I know about it from playing Darksouls....
Do I really want to pull that on someone? I'm pretty sure if I actually use it, I'll be put on a list. The kind of thing Dark Hand sucks out of you, it is not really the kind of thing you can recover from.
And I am kind of a hero academy student, whose aim is the profession of being a hero so upon careful deliberation.
Yeah, that's not passing with the moral committee, I'll have to skip out on Dark Hand, maybe in a more brutal lawless world we could have been the best of friends.
Now, Regenerator on the other hand is not bad in the slightest, I have quite a lot of healing, and as I have demonstrated to Shigaraki quite extensively, regeneration was a great thing to have and abuse. Not to mention the 5x recovery speed, that will speed up my working out and beefing up quite substantially.
I confirmed Regenerator and felt it take its place within my very existence, it was a bit hard to feel what it did exactly, but I felt more healthy already.
Hopefully, some decent sleep will work off this damn headache. I pulled out Hypnos' Sleeping Mask and threw it over my head and laid my head down properly.
Finally, I closed my eyes and let the weight of exhaustion that was crushing me finally take me to sleep.

『Shota Aizawa』
"Urgh... what happened?"
Aizawa rose up out of his bed, his rough hand brushed his sweat soaked hair and a groan of exhaustion slipped past his lips.
Despite his expectations of waking up, he hardly felt any pain at all, just incredible exhaustion as if he pulled three all-nighters in a row. Even his eyes and head which he still felt phantom sensations of slamming into the ground hard enough to crack it, felt fine enough.
"Well, you passed out, and we brought you to the hospital Aizawa-kun!"
He turned his head to see Nezu and All Might sitting beside his hospital bed with a get well soon card on the table. All Might was in his skinny form with his head down while the Principal was impassive as ever, but Aizawa could tell that he was not particularly pleased at the moment.
"...What happened after I passed out?"
His mind turned to the sight of Hakari fighting that villain, a clearly experienced and dangerous one that could go toe to with even himself. But seeing as the mood was not as somber, things clearly had not gone far south.
"As diligent as ever Aizawa, even after just waking up from injury, you immediately talk about work. Don't worry, all the students are currently safe, there were a few injured but considering the scale of the attack, it's almost miraculous. But we failed to catch the masterminds of this incident."
"If only I weren't so distracted earlier today...!" All Might quietly muttered through gritted teeth. That was as expected of him, always blaming himself. He was the epitome of a hero, both good and bad.
"How did I recover this well? I'm familiar with Recovery Girl's work, this is not it."
Nezu tapped on his chin, as if he were particularly amused with the situation.
"You can thank your favorite 'problem child' for that, right after fighting someone for blood, he insisted on healing you and Thirteen no matter what and stood by your side until his job was finished. He is currently passed out in the room across from this one."
Aizawa had to do a double take.
"Hakari did? That Hakari?"
Aizawa's opinion of Hakari was... well it was not high. He was the definition of a prodigy with a power so extremely versatile which he wielded with great finesse and control. But he disliked him due to his flippancy.
Those types always died or retired first, one's whose attitudes screamed that they believed they could do anything. He constantly tried to teach him a lesson only to fail again and again which frustrated him.
Because if Aizawa himself could not teach Hakari that lesson, something far worse eventually would.
Exactly like what happened today when his student almost died before his very eyes.
Overconfidence was the greatest killer in this line of work.
Seeing a fight as brutal as that, even he himself was not sure if he could get up and still try to heal someone after that.
Hakari really did not strike him as the type to be needlessly self-sacrificing like that. True, his ability did work off of what he called "achievements" but even then, to go that extent was not something that he expected.
"I know right? I was so surprised, I think I'll have to apologize to him about my previous internal evaluation. It's even more impressive and concerning after watching the recovered footage of the incident, whatever was shown did not paint a very... pleasant picture of what Young Hakari went through."
Aizawa could imagine, this whole incident reeked, a teleporter, a suspiciously dangerous and competent villain, a mass semi organized group attacking a place without profit and those... Nomu. Even remember those glass eyed abominations sent a chill down his spine.
"Though, he said if you wanted to thank him for saving you, you could let him cut class once in a while!"
Nezu noted with a tone too cheery, making Aizawa scoff.
"Damn problem child."
At least that ruled out the possibility of Hakari being killed and replaced with an impostor.

『Principal Nezu』
The door behind them closed as Nezu and his student Toshinori entered his private hospital room.
"Sensei, what do we do now, that so called Nomu, it had multiple quirks. Just like him. And a League of Villains sounds just like something he would think of."
Nezu scratched his chin as his eyes turned and re-evaluated the events that had transpired today.
The League of Villains.
It raised his hackles to think of that man being back, and even worse, targeting his students. But he kept his cool.
"We will obviously have to raise security in UA, and keep a closer eye on the happenings, of course. We should not assume the worst, but we should not ignore it. We won't take overt action for now in order to not seem like UA cannot handle this incident. There is something I am worried about however."
"It's... Young Hakari, isn't it?"
"You are quite observant today, Toshinori."
Indeed, Hakari was a cause for concern, for sure. While thankfully, Toshinori's own protégée had not drawn much attention to himself, Hakari had drawn the ire of a particularly nasty individual, and if even a remnant of that man or his ideology had remained. Someone with Hakari's abilities...
He would be targeted.
The very thought of that man, or anyone related to him, getting his hands on the young and impressionable Hakari made him feel almost nauseous.
Toshinori's successor had the power of hiding in anoniminity, but Hakari was not afforded such a luxury, not after today.
"I have a plan for Young Hakari, to both help develop his talents and to put him in a more stable position. After this attack, I have been thinking of employing a dorm system but I do not want to start it so soon after an attack and make UA look nervous. I'll simply offer young Hakari and Toga to move into the UA dorms before they are officially open. It could also serve as testing of the Dorm Plan of sorts."
The part left unsaid was keeping an eye on Hakari's mental condition, such a brutal fight could not be glossed over even by the most hardened professionals. Toshinori looked to have some doubts about the plan however.
"But why would they accept such a thing?"
"Why would they not? I have looked into their backgrounds, Toga was abandoned by her parents and Hakari's parents have died long ago, they live together in a cheap apartment. Hardly a comfortable place for future heroes. UA simply provides far better services and a more stable environment, and it would cut down on commute time."
"Well, if you say so sensei, I don't know much about matters like this so I can't speak on them."
Nezu simply chuckled and sipped his coffee.
'I have high expectations of you, Hakari-kun, I hope you can meet them.'
A/N: Man, the gacha is truly sentient huh? It's like it's actively looking at my darksouls playthrough and picking entries from there on purpose. Though unfortunately this one was not chosen. You can't pick Darkhand, use it, and expect not to be put in a cell with the key thrown away. That shit is vile.
Aizawa and Nezu reveal their thoughts, I wanted to expand on their thinking with this chapter and I hope I did a good enough job with it. Aizawa is a good guy even if he is not the greatest teacher. And Nezu is both a great guy and a great principal. Events are not proceeding as they originally have but I feel like these developments are sure to be riveting nonetheless. What did you guys think?
