Chapter 428 - Chapter 433: The Battle of Gods

All these years, he had endured hardship and humiliation, carrying the weight of disgrace, finally enduring until his grandson broke through and his son was about to return.

Right now, the entire Federation was on high alert.

Qiangu Dongfang stared in astonishment at the colossal golden dragon hovering in the sky and the terrifying Tang Hao beside it, hammer in hand, face twisted with rage.

He could not understand the depth of that anger.

"Tell that guy to come out…" The golden dragon covered the sky and blocked out the sun. From a bird's-eye view, its body seemed to envelop the entire Douluo Star. Amid swirling clouds and mist, it appeared even more immense and terrifying.

Tang Wulin stood upon the Golden Dragon King's head, looking down at everyone in cold indifference.

His voice was low and deep.

Back then, Shrek Academy had been destroyed. Only a few of them had managed to escape that land in utter misery. Tang Sect had been annihilated, leaving only remnants hidden in the Star Luo Empire. This sea of blood-deep hatred was something he had to avenge.

"Hand over the vacant land where Shrek Academy once stood. Hand over the Golden Ancient Tree. Apart from the Spirit Pagoda, I'll spare the rest of you."

Tang Wulin quietly swept his gaze across the crowd.

All were familiar faces.

Yet now, they looked so hideous and detestable.

And as for the mastermind, that guy, who knew in which dark, shadowy corner he was hiding, sneakily watching everything unfold.

Long Yeyue, Ancestor Zhuo Shi, Cai Yue'er…

Could they all be revived?

All this blood and tears—all the countless souls of Shrek Academy—had to be cleansed with war, had to be washed away by the countless leeches of the Spirit Pagoda who had latched onto Shrek and Tang Sect and sucked them dry.

"I'm right here."

A figure slowly emerged in the sky.

Yet no one could sense his aura. What was even more shocking was that he was clearly standing there, but it felt as though he'd blended into the timeline itself, merged with the river of time.

"Tang Wulin, you're looking for me?" The corners of Su Wen's mouth curved into a smile.

"Oh, and you as well… Tang Hao."

"You've become a god?!" Tang Wulin's expression shifted dramatically. For some reason, although the man before him was full of openings—seemingly vulnerable enough to be crushed with a simple wave of the hand—Tang Wulin dared not move.

A chillingly sharp killing intent spread throughout his entire body, as if a dozen terrifying beasts were locked onto his every move.

Just how strong was this man?

Why was it that, when he had still been a mere Soul Sage, this man could suppress a group of top-level powerhouses and beat them senseless, yet now that he had advanced to godhood, he still could not see through the man's depths?

Why!

"Don't be afraid, Wulin. Your father is on his way!" Tang Hao's cold voice rang out from the side. "Once your father arrives with the God Realm and the new friends he's made, that will be this guy's death day!"

"Fight me to the death!" Hearing this, Tang Wulin hesitated no longer and bellowed in fury.

His aura climbed step by step, approaching its peak.

A brilliant golden battle armor appeared—the Golden Dragon Moon-Language Xuan, the only six-character battle armor in the world.

While Tang Wulin shone brightly in his new power—

Su Wen still stood alone.

"You're not going to summon those soul beasts of yours?" Tang Wulin sneered. "If you don't fight with everything you've got, you'll die."

"Hmm… Who should I send? In that case… you then." Su Wen frowned slightly, hesitating for a moment before beckoning with his hand.

"Thank you, my lord."

A seductive voice sounded at his side.

In the next instant, it was as if the entire starry sky had been torn apart. A vast nine-colored dragon claw slowly stretched out from the rift. The surrounding space seemed unable to bear the terrifying might, collapsing one after another. When its full form finally emerged, the entire world fell into stunned silence.

This was even more shocking than the Dragon God that had once appeared on Douluo Star.

Because anyone with half a brain could tell that the dragon that had intimidated the Abyssal Plane back then was a fake. But this one… this one felt like a true Dragon God descending into the world. Every breath it took was steeped in the awe-inspiring majesty of a Creator-level god.

"You are… No, that's impossible!" Tang Wulin stared, his mind gone blank.

"Just a counterfeit. Do you really think you understand my Golden Dragon King?" Jin Ling'er snorted. At this moment, she had fully reached the pinnacle of her strength: a true Dragon God.

Letting this knockoff Golden Dragon King confront her was simply courting humiliation. Even when she had just crawled out of the God-Forbidden Land, she could have easily crushed him—let alone now, with her Dragon God bloodline fully restored and her power at its absolute peak.

"Who are you! Why have I never seen you before?" Tang Wulin felt the pressure from deep within his bloodline. Even the Golden Dragon King's divine power within his body grew restless, as if about to be forcefully drawn out by her.

He looked at the nine-colored true dragon in panic, his entire body trembling uncontrollably.

"How could you not have seen me…" Jin Ling'er laughed.

"The power inside you all comes from me… boy."

"You're the Golden Dragon King!!!"

"Hahahaha—die!"

The Golden Dragon King's claw came crashing down. It was as if the Great Dao itself was being ground away. Even time and space could not withstand the blow, being torn open into vast heavenly chasms that exposed a dazzling sea of stars beyond.

Tang Wulin's Dao heart shattered. He stared blankly upward.

He was crushed to soul-dust by the dragon claw that descended from the heavens.

"Damn it!" Tang Hao, eyes wide with horror, turned and fled madly.

But he, too, was easily ground to ashes under that Dragon God's claw.

"AAAAHHH!!! Su Wen, you won't die a good death! When my son returns, that will be the day you are utterly annihilated!" Tang Hao's enraged roar still echoed.

"Tang San, is it?"

Su Wen turned his gaze toward the galaxy. There, a series of overwhelming auras were rapidly approaching.

The corners of his lips slowly curled upward.

"Beast, you've already… brought about your own death!!!" Before the man arrived, his voice echoed across the void.

Tang San's furious roar seemed to pierce the stars.

Then came the Divine Circle, formed by seven God Realms joining forces. A multitude of gods glared at Su Wen and the Dragon God behind him with unified hatred.

Yet the moment they saw the Dragon God, many of them faltered.

"Tang San, this is a bit much. You didn't say our opponent was the Dragon God." Ye Yinzhu's mouth twitched.

"If it were only a single Dragon God, then with the peak God Kings supplied by our Divine Circle, we would still be able to contend with it, especially with all of us working together," Kuangshen Lei Xiang rumbled.

"Kill this bastard. If we don't, the Divine Circle will have nowhere to go."

One voice after another rang out.

"Everyone, please help me slay this enemy!" Tang San stared at the last lingering wisps of Tang Hao and Tang Wulin's souls, blood tears streaming from his eyes.

In this moment, the king had descended from the heavens, consumed with wrath and hatred.

"Yes!"

Deep voices resounded throughout the heavens.

"Help the Chairman slay the enemy!!"

"Encircle and kill that Dragon God first!" Ye Yinzhu's body glowed with an ancient musical aura, a bamboo zither materializing in his hands. His six fingers plucked the strings as music amplified his allies and simultaneously weakened his foes.

Kuangshen roared, twelve silver wings unfurling from his back. A layer of silver armor covered his body as his aura surged.

Hai Long and the other God Kings also erupted with their full might.

They charged toward Su Wen.
