Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Run Away

Before the experiments ever started, I should tell you. I spent most of my time in chamber-like containers, and my growth was severely limited. A lack of bone marrow made it difficult for me to stand, let alone walk. I was transported by robots that catered to my every need. Food, water, clothing, everything was provided by them... and I was isolated from others my age, but it's not like it mattered, every day was hell in this place. But most importantly, my eyes were as defective as a fly with no wings. Yes, I couldn't see shit. Ironic right? Considering that the eyes are one of the first features humans develop while in the womb, you'd think that if anything, my lungs or my heart would be my biggest health problem. But, for some reason, it was my eyes that had almost no development. I had eyeballs, though no one has ever seen the colors of my eyes, not even myself.

Also, my body could be compared to that of a doll's. In the essence that I was human, but just like a doll, I couldn't see, speak, or move my body for myself. Every action I made was not mine, like a doll, it was like I was nothing more than a plaything, preparing itself to be thrown away.

For a total of seven years my father experimented on me day by day and night by night. There was no such thing as a day of rest between these seven horrid years. I was taken in and out of containers, into every single experimental operation he could think of. This body... my body, which I couldn't even consider mine, became so inhuman on the inside that any normal person would faint if they saw me... I was an unfinished sculpture. Attached with markings that resembled ancient texts, with legs and arms of metal. A monster, an amalgamation of experimentations...

Father tested my endurance to pain every day, always saying that this research would help me... help us get Mother back. Without a name, I became known as '537465616d0a.' In his own research facility, I was but a number. Not worthy enough for the honor of being given a true name!

This was the only way that I could see my beloved again, by extracting the power of the only being more powerful than my N.

.

.

.

"It is time for an experiment!" his laughter churned evil after these past seven years.

"My daughter, please forgive me.

For I know too, how much you want to see your mother again," he said, looking at me with his crazily lit mind, it sent shivers down my spine.

"Father!" Dayson cried. "Please don't do this! She's-"

"SHUT UP!!!" Vallen yelled, throwing a glass flask in Dayson's direction.

"Impotent fool!

Your presence here is just a distraction to me~!"

"Guards take him away. I don't want to see him anywhere near me!" Vallen yelled as he flicked his hand.

"Father.. Father…

Please stop this madness, it's hurting me!"

I would say yelling from the inner voice of my mind. Crying every day for this pain to end, only Mother would come to comfort me. She'd tell me stories of how beautiful the world was; she told me that my father and my family were great ones, working to save the world and protect its smiles. But as I went through all this pain, I wondered what the world and its smiles needed protecting from. What about my smile, my happiness? I questioned, but Mother never answered.

Besides that point, Mother promised me… and so I waited.

*7 years later... December, 24, 20023*

Perfectly hidden away from the outside world, in this small experimental container. Many, like my father, thought that his wife, my mother, died that day in the reactor. But they were wrong. He knew about the spirit world, and he knew that with a vessel, he could reanimate his wife back to the mortal plane. But he was wrong about 3 things, things he would've never considered possible.

Through I never spoke, I was there… throughout the entire seven years of his experiments. I felt everything, the pain I went through was unbearable. So much so that every time my father tried something new, my mother's spirit would always come over to comfort me, that was my silence.

My mother did die. She was freely living in the spirit realm, a place where only a select few could see, and fewer could enter.

And lastly, bringing someone back from the dead permanently shouldn't ever be done.

"This is Experiment Code no. '537465616d0a.' Record: two-five fifty-five…"

Ahem~

"On this day 9 years ago. I lost everything. My wife, my lab, and- family… But this day, I gain it all back. With the use of Seven Artifacts and dozens upon dozens of monster corpses, I bring my wife...

BACK TO THE MORAL REALM!!!"

Using the Artifacts, 'Sword of Spirits, Shield of Faith, Nature's Seed, Sceptre of Fate, Demon's Core, Adonai's Summoning Book, and the Fusion Artifact,' the ultimate spirit weapon was forged. Its capabilities so unfathomably horrid not even gods would wield it.

And now that all the pieces on his chess board had fallen into place, it was time for him to put his grand plan into action...

"Power generators eight through one…

Today we make history."

"Yes sir!"

Through years of research, my father found a way to defile God's precious creations. Placed inside a fusion tank that concentrates 300 times more than the raw energy of power of 2MASS J0523-1403, which has a power output of roughly 5 × 10^22. He was able to create a new element of Atom(s) binding them to form a soul. If he had a corpse compatible with the spirit of Mother he wouldn't have had to risk the chance of another failed experiment, but Mother was special. Father loved and missed her so much that no ordinary vessel would do. It had to be perfect. So with this amount of pure energy, he planned on creating an entirely new vessel for her spirit.

Slowly, the contraption powered on, and in just two seconds, it produced 3.5× 10^27 ronnawatts of pure energy. The power emanating from its core flooded the Earth in a dazzling array of light. And I... served as the heart of his tank. At its center, I was the core, the source at which pure energy was transferred.

"Now my Beloved N, awaken and show your glorious beauty!" Vallen yelled.

*ZZZ~*

The Earth... shuddered from his call in outrage of his creation, an abomination. But still, like a dog following its master's every command, it awakened.

.

.

.

Coldness filled my soul, it was dark and my breaths were heavy, it felt as if the world around me was spinning.

"Huff, Huff!"

When I heard the sound of the machine powering that was when I knew it was over. I was panicking. I thought the moment energy started flowing into my chamber, I would most certainly die of excruciating pain. And I was right… Once the energy pumped into the reactor and met me, it enacted a defense mechanism within my body. My N-Cells prevented the energy from forcing its way into the body, which then redirected the energy throughout the whole machine to give it its power. While slowly but surely eating away at my flesh, the longer the machine was on, the faster the reactor would become. The faster I'll be turned into minced meat…

"F̸a̶t̷h̷e̷r̵,̶ ̵F̷a̴t̵h̷e̵r̶!̷" I cried, but my calls did not reach him.

My body felt numb and my head was spinning faster than the stars in the universe.

Thump, Thump*

I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest, this burning sensation that I felt… It's the pure energy entering my body and quickly leaving as my body tries its best to keep it out.

"Mother…

help me…"

I cried.

I was finally at my end. The raw energy peaking through the veins of my body, blustering them. Ah* the pain I felt, finally gone. I could rest now, I was free now. I no longer hurt. The numb sensation I felt early, the dizziness was all gone… and yet, like an angel, Mother apeared in front of me, arms reaching out. She was glowing, from the bottom of her feet, to the top of her crown, she was lit in a beautifully golden hue that sent warmth throughout my spine.

"My beloved…

W̶H̶A̷T̸ ̴H̷A̷V̵E̸ ̴Y̸O̵U̴ ̷D̴O̷N̴E̷!" it screamed.

The vibration of its shout broke the barrier of the reactor core.

"For you, a fool has descended a great burden upon your daughter."

"For what a fool your daughter must live with the title stuck as 'shunned by this Earth..!'"

"This voice!" Vallen screamed, "This Voice!"

Was not Mother…

Vallen yelled and shouted at the entity, "Who are you?!?!" he cried, demanding an answer.

"For your daughter, you have not even named and for the son who you left behind and cast out, I beseech you! LEAVE THIS EARTH!"

"No!" he yelled as a bright light pierced the facility, breaking the machine, its contents spill out.

Get up and Run.*

I Gasped,

"Mother…"

I didn't waste any time, the destruction of the fusion tank opened the doors to freedom. Quickly I ran out of the room. I didn't know why I could move, and I surely didn't want to stay around to find out. Outside the room, I ran straight into a person, "Hay!" they yelled, but I pushed them aside and ran off. I tripped and stumbled my way through what seemed like endless endless halls, and strange voices inside my head kept directing me of where to go, of where to escape his prison.

.

.

.

"Code Red! Code Red! Experiment five-three-seven-four-six-five-six-one-six-D-zero-A has breached containment! It's moving fast—northeast quadrant, Foundry sector! Intercept immediately! I repeat, intercept at all costs!" Vallen's voice cracked through the facility comms, sharp with urgency.

Huff, Huff*

"Spirit's... Mother... Monster-entity..! Please," I cried. "I don't know what you are, but I can't keep running anymore! Please help me!"

My vision was still blank, I couldn't see, and my limbs no, my whole body hurt because it wasn't used to the weight of my own gravity.

Child… its voice replied softly.  your soul, follow what it tells you… follow the voice in your heart.

"I…" I paused in the middle of the halls, and a hard wooden box was conveniently there for me to hide in. "My soul? What my heart tells me?" I was confused, but I couldn't stay there forever as I heard the footsteps of people following close behind me.

Come on, come on! I closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of them rushing by, but I focused on my heartbeat.

Thump, Thump…*

 Their footsteps silencing slowly.

Huff,* after a deep breath, I didn't hesitate to jump out of the box and run to the right side of the wall. Keeping my hand on the wall to guide me, I ran until I felt no wall left, an empty space? That means there is another hall this way! Hastily, my body moved to the right, but my legs caught up on one another, and I fell to the ground. A loud slam echoed through the hall which quickly attracted the soldiers. "THERE IT IS! AFTER IT!!!" they yelled. "GET IT!!" they yelled again as more of them came swarming in. I got up but one of them caught my hair and yanked me towards the floor. "I got it!" he yelled as he reached to cuff my legs. Just then, a sudden force came upon him and sliced his hands off. "R̵u̶n̶ ̵C̵h̴i̸l̶d̷!̴" the voices cried out as the man was left screaming. He cried and yelled in agonizing pain, but the voices screamed louder, telling me to go.

Right there and then running from those men was the least of my worries, before I knew it I was being shot at, and hunted down like an animal, "I thought Father said to catch me. Why are they hunting me!?!?!" I questioned. "Door," Open," Reach!" Out!! "Hand!!!" they screamed. The voices in my head were just like me. They were scared, and they wanted to escape too.

BANG*

Now outside I could hear the sound of car engines running aloof around me, along with loud bursts coming from those cars, "H̶u̸r̷r̷y̸ ̵R̸u̶n̶ ̶R̵U̴N̴ ̴G̷O̸ ̴L̷E̸A̷V̷E̵" the voices in my head made me lose concentration in my legs. My mind felt like it was being eaten up.

You must stay focused, run my daughter, Run!

The voice of my mother cleared my head, "Run!" I shouted in my head, "RUN!!!"

There were now more cars chasing after me; it felt like I was cornered, but knowing that light always shines at the end of the tunnel, I closed my ears and kept on running.

"DIE YOU VILE MONSTER!"

*BAM..!*

Before I knew it, I was on the ground breathes - heavy as my body was split in half. Their cars ran me over, they were armored and had a shielded rim that showed no mercy to those who dared to jump in front of it.

"Father ~" I called as he stood over me, my arm reaching for the sky.

"What have you done..?" he glanced at me with disappointment.

Tsk*

"I guess I've failed again... clean up this poor mess, but leave its body, as it still has some form of value." Vallen scoffed as he walked away.

Leave its body… cause it has some form of value?

My mind and my body were out of tune. "Was that it?" was that all he had to say to me while I, his daughter, lay here dying on the floor? All for my body? Just because I had 'some value?' I became angry. My mind bottled itself with emotions, questioning why all of this happened. I was angered and It..?It wanted to beat up the people who did this to us. It was also angry.

"Father… Why… Why must you hurt me? I've only wanted to be loved, so why? I endured so much for you, why must I die?" She questioned. In those few moments that felt like I'd die, I asked so many childish questions... Today, I would have laughed at such a naive person because, my father was not the father mother ever told me about.

"Shut up, you - beast… You disgust me. Why don't you just go to hell and die for the sin you have committed fromever being born!"

"Just go to hell and die for the sin you have committed from ever being born?" I repeated.

"Father… You're… not the father Mother told me about, you… you're nothing but a wicked man… I'm sorry Mother, but I guess this is how far I could get from him…. I'm sorry…" It was in this moment that I had accepted my fate as an abomination and wished to die peacefully. But 'they?' wouldn't let such a fate happen.

"Such a pity that your 'Fate' turned out like this child. I will help you. So rise up and live! Run again! Not to live the life of a burdened abomination, but make your own life and save your world…"The second Voice said.

"Do you accept?" The fourthVoice asked.

"…

I-"

"S. . . A. . . Y IT!" The seven voices demanded.

"Yes, I want to… I want to live!"

Again, before I knew it my mind, body, and soul were once again complete. They were in tune, filled with the willpower to live again. So I got up and ran. Their help allowed me to jump over the fences that blocked my path, and they threw me over ten sections of land that all connected to Father's prison. It placed me in the forest that surrounded it. Then I ran and ran and ran and ran, falling over branches, and running into trees until it felt I was safe. Soon I came upon a cave on top of a mountain. It was warm, and cozy like a home that you'd miss after a long overseas trip. My eyes felt heavy, and I could feel the presence of a person slowly creeping up on me but, I was tired so they closed. I was too exhausted to care about the person found me. A man who didn't seem strong anyways I thought.

.

.

 "My God…" the man froze.
