"Really?" A bitter expression crosses Maisie's features as she stares at the mess her brother is at the moment. He is lying on the sofa on his front, his face turned to the side, mumbling things to himself.
Maisie groans out of frustration before she stomps to her brother. "Get up, you drunkard!"
She smacks the back of her brother's head with so much force that his head dangles from the edge of the sofa and his eyes fly open.
Mason sees his sister from the corner of his eyes, and his eyes go wide. He gulps before he lets out a weak chuckle. "Maize, my baby sister! I was just resting for a bit. My head hurts."
He pushes himself off of the sofa and tries to stand still, but only a second later, he sways on his feet and holds his sister's arm.
Maisie glares at him but still lets him lean on her. "I am not a sister to a drunkard like you."
