Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: At the bar

"Honestly,... at the beginning I was quite nervous but excited at the same time. Public attention has never really been my thing but I must confess, this, it's just amazing. It's a new experience and opportunity, not just for me but for every female out there who wants to achieve greater things." Lianne said while fidgeting with her fingers nervously.

"I'm happy you feel that way. Next question, do you have any words of encouragement to any of your fans who are aspiring to be as good as you are? I mean you did something no one has done before by joining this gaming season even when a lot of people thought that you (being a girl) wouldn't be able to cope with the competition" the reporter said.

Most of the fans wanted to know what she'll say and she wasn't left out. She knew that gamers didn't have it as easy as it looked. They actually went through a lot to prepare for a match plus the pressure they got, so it wasn't really easy for them. Lianne was a girl and one who was new to this whole gaming arena so the pressure on her was far more than those on the other gamers. Many fans would be looking up to her because of what she was doing as a change in the gaming world.

"Well, one thing I know is it isn't easy. But, a wise person told me that I didn't need to say anything and just let my game speak for me. So, I did just that and it made me feel better" Lianne said as she stole a quick glance at him before turning back.

"So, last question. This is more like an observation from your fans. They have noticed your taking of candy whenever you come on stage. Do you use it as a method to battle anxiety or is it a secret battle weapon for you?" The reporter asked but before Aj, who had no intention of answering as she didn't want to relive that painful past, could reply, Jordy came to her rescue making her sigh in relief.

"I think that will be all for today's review. Thank you" he said simply before leading Aj away from the flashing cameras from photographers and videographers who were trying to make use of this golden opportunity by getting pictures of the infamous "mulan".

QGDZ got back to their base and they decided to go out to celebrate their first victory for the season and Ricardo agreed as he booked a place at a restaurant.

"I'd like to offer this toast to you guys. We wouldn't have made it this far if not for the teamwork you guys exhibited. The late nights, the continuous practices, and the unwavering belief in each other" Zac said as he raised the wine glass 🍷 before sipping from it as the others followed suit.

Ric offered a toast also and they were all having fun when Dami noticed something.

"Aj, there's a girl who has been glaring at you for a while" Dami said and Lianne asked

"How does she look like?"

"Like a problem waiting for the right moment to introduce herself. She has blonde hair, eyes filled with disdain, and a smile that carried more hate than she says" Dami replied and Aj knew exactly who he was talking about but before she could leave, jade and her castrated group of friends came over and greeted them in a proper and formal manner.

"Hey guys, hey girls, hey Jordan" jade said with a seductive smile.

"Why bother separating Jordan from the guys?" Lianne asked with a sneer.

Jade, who seemed more clever in her assumptions than in reality, managed to convince Summer that FS didn't accept or appreciate her.

At the climax she was the only one in the group without a relationship possibility and hence left the group to form a new clique with Summer, Melody and Veronica and had made plans to cause a scandal about Oliannah's secret crush which was eventually exposed and clarified.

Summer tried grabbing Jordy's attention times without numbers. He got tired of it and confronted her one day

"I understand what you're trying to do, but please refrain from it. Only those who carry themselves with true grace and composure would capture my attention, and unfortunately, you're unlikely to be among the few who make that list." but his response only fueled her passion and she kept trying.

Jade started the conversation with the girls by saying "Why are you guys dressed like that? It's not even Halloween yet, so unless you're planning to scare trick-or-treaters early, I'm not sure what occasion calls for this".

By this time, her friends had returned with the guys and they joined them to continue their celebration
