By the time they arrived at the Uchiha Clan Grounds, it was already nighttime.
The three of them now found themselves in Uchiha Yato's room.
Worried they might get bored, Uchiha Yato summoned his Summoning Beast—Tom.
There was no helping it—Uchiha Yato had to personally cook.
He chose Chinese cuisine and hot pot.
This time, he was determined to extract a massive amount of emotional value from the three of them, or he wouldn't rest.
Why Chinese cuisine?
Because he had spent over ten thousand Emotion Coins, which had given him a ton of ingredient packs and food. If he didn't use them, he'd feel terrible.
What? Didn't you say Uchiha Yato doesn't gamble?
Uchiha Yato declared, "The 'Deliciousness Law' is timeless!"
Seeing Uchiha Yato's Summoning Beast, Orochimaru grew deeply intrigued.
He noticed that this Summoning Beast seemed to possess its own spatial storage, allowing it to carry items, and it was unusually well-behaved compared to ordinary ones.
Orochimaru asked, "Where did you contract this one?"
"What a peculiar little thing, with such extraordinary abilities."
Uchiha Yato replied while cooking, "A misfit from the summoning cat clan. No one else wanted to contract with it, so I was the only one left."
It had to be said—fluffy little animals like this were the easiest way to win over girls.
The moment Tsunade saw Tom, she immediately pulled him into her embrace.
This stirred a wave of jealousy in Jiraiya beside her.
He thought, "Do you even know what you're lying on?"
"Such a 'voluptuous' bosom—are you worthy of it?"
"Stupid cat, move! Let me take on this suffering instead."
Of course, he only dared to spout nonsense. If it came down to action, would he really have the guts?
Tsunade could hospitalize him for three months, and if it happened on her turf, it wouldn't just be three months...
While they were busy studying Tom, Uchiha Yato finished preparing the meal.
After all, hot pot was a fairly simple dish to make.
Seeing this novel way of eating left the Sannin somewhat astonished.
This was exactly the reaction Uchiha Yato wanted—otherwise, how else would he milk them for Emotion Coins?Just as we were about to eat, we noticed there was one extra person at the table.
That's right—it was our very own Uchiha Shisui coming to join the meal.
Uchiha Yato did not live with the elder, even though custody had been granted to him. Yato was quite considerate in this regard.
Shisui's accommodation was handled by the elder, while meals were taken care of by Yato.
The main reason was that the elder's residence and Uchiha Yato's home were right next to each other.
Uchiha Yato strongly suspected whether the old man had ever eavesdropped on Uchiha Kagami and his wife in the past.
He had actually asked once, only to be met with a fierce beating from the elder.
Unfortunately, the elder couldn't catch him in the act, and the matter was eventually dropped.
...
As for Uchiha Yato's personal cooking, Shisui had the most to say about it.
The mere mention of Yato preparing a meal could stir up Uchiha Kei's cravings to the point where he wouldn't return home.
This left the clan leader's wife baffled for a while, suspecting that Kei was having an affair outside.
After some investigation, however, she found that Kei's daily routine showed no irregularities whatsoever.
In fact, the clan leader's wife even sought Uchiha Yato's help as a private detective to look into the matter.
The two of them tailed Kei, only to end up at Yato's own home.
This immediately threw both of them into an awkward situation, and it wasn't until later that they realized it was all because of Yato's cooking.
Eventually, the clan leader's wife even learned some recipes from Yato.
And this made Tsunade particularly happy.
Not only could she tease little Shisui and pet the cat, but she could also enjoy a feast after Yato finished cooking—followed by a new gambling game she had never seen before.
Once Yato served all the dishes, everyone began eating.
The least restrained was Uchiha Shisui, who had long been craving the novel delicacies Yato concocted.
So Yato thoughtfully prepared a tomato hotpot and a seafood hotpot for him.
Knowing Shisui couldn't handle spicy food, he made sure to offer two different broths.
There was also a purely spicy broth, bringing the total to three distinct hotpot bases.
Along with five or six different dipping sauces, this instantly had everyone drooling.
Yato patiently explained the proper way to enjoy the meal.
After one taste, Tsunade immediately fell in love with the spicy broth—sipping alcohol while dipping meat into the bubbling pot.
Yato even had Tom bring out two bottles of strong liquor for everyone.
To top it off, he played music on the phonograph he had previously obtained.
Instantly, this warm and joyful atmosphere settled into everyone's hearts.
For Tsunade, she adored this kind of environment.
After developing hemophobia and losing faith in the Hidden Leaf Village, she had left the village behind.
Back then, she had drowned her sorrows in alcohol, experiencing all kinds of situations—but this kind of warmth was something she found truly intoxicating.
At that moment, Tsunade suddenly remembered that her grandmother was still at the old residence, and she wished she could invite her over to share in this comfort.
Uchiha Yato had already anticipated Tsunade's actions.
...
At the elder's home.
Several senior ninja clan members and their wives had gathered there.
And among the wives, Uzumaki Mito was also enjoying the same feast.
Hearing Yato's reassurance, Tsunade instantly relaxed completely.
Jiraiya, too, was utterly delighted—aside from the spicy hotpot, he especially loved the various special sauces Yato had prepared.Orochimaru didn't resist this current warmth at all.
With the support of Uchiha Yato, his experiments were progressing smoothly, allowing him to forget the troubles of Shimura Danzo's missing corpse for the time being. He, too, joined in this heartwarming dinner.
After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, it was time for our little Shisui to go to bed. Uchiha Yato thoughtfully sang him a lullaby and even provided Tom Cat as a sleep companion.
The remaining time was spent with Uchiha Yato teaching the Sannin how to play mahjong.
After a brief explanation, Orochimaru proved to be the quickest learner, grasping the rules immediately.
Next was Tsunade, who had frequented gambling dens for years—she picked it up after just one round.
Lastly, there was Jiraiya, whose luck was so absurdly good that he kept drawing excellent hands. However, despite his fortune, he struggled to learn the game and ended up playing randomly.
At the start, Uchiha Yato went easy on them, letting everyone ease into the game.
Orochimaru won the most initially, followed by Jiraiya—thanks to his insane luck, he even managed a heavenly win once.
Uchiha Yato came in third, while Tsunade trailed at the bottom.
Even with Uchiha Yato holding back, Tsunade still lost.
It had to be said—Tsunade's gambling luck was truly abysmal.
Later, when Uchiha Yato started playing seriously, Orochimaru's wins dwindled.
This only fueled Tsunade's frustration, her eyes red with competitive fire.
Since this was just a friendly game, they didn't bet money—instead, they stuck paper slips on the loser.
By the end of the night, Tsunade owed an entire box's worth of slips, while Jiraiya had the second-most stuck on him.
Orochimaru had a ring of slips plastered on his hair, and Uchiha Yato wore a few on his face.
To keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable, Uchiha Yato deliberately controlled his wins, not pushing things too far.
In the end, Tsunade was the only one who truly suffered a crushing defeat.
The one who profited the most, of course, was our Uchiha Yato.
That night alone, he raked in 5,000 Emotion Coins. And who was the biggest contributor? (No prizes for guessing—take a wild guess!)
In stark contrast was our Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen.
He spent the night with his two advisors, sorting through the mess of old accounts and Root-related affairs.
For these three old men, it was a sleepless night—they had to reorganize everything concerning the Hidden Leaf.
A complete opposite to Uchiha Yato and his group.
After seeing off the Sannin, it was time to send Shisui to school.
Only after everything was settled did Uchiha Yato finally get some rest.
He needed to recharge—after all, tomorrow, he would be heading to the Sand Village.
And he had a big gift prepared for them!
