As night fell over the settlement, the sky turned deep indigo, dotted with stars. A massive bonfire roared to life in the center of the cleared ground, its flames licking high into the darkness and casting flickering orange light across the gathered crowd. The air was thick with the scent of smoke, sweat, and anticipation.
Byung sat upon a grand throne constructed from the bones of fallen beasts and enemies, polished and bound together with strong leather in just a few hours. Behind him stood Grishka like a silent guardian, her massive frame towering protectively. On his face, Byung wore a fearsome mask crafted by the Stonehide tribe.
He had no idea when they had made it, but it fit him perfectly. The mask was carved from dark wood and bone, with sharp, jagged features that gave him a truly feral, almost demonic appearance. It made his small stature feel far more imposing.
