Chapter 43 - Philosophy 1O1

Observer POV:

"After years of further research into the unknown traces of the Void's energy, now known as Untime, Entrati and his colleagues finally revolutionized our perspective of Time.

A new Theory, known as Eternalism, emerged in the Scientific community. The theory states that the future and past are all as real as the present, and can theoretically be accessed by changing the frame of reference. Since making a choice cannot change a preexisting future, it follows that all possible choice/chance events are simultaneously real in separate realities."

Tenno hoped this would clear up the confusion in Scott's head, but it seemed only to worsen it, so he tried a different approach.

"Are you familiar with the Many-Worlds Theory? Otherwise known as the Multiverseal-Theory?"

Now a spark of recognition lit up in Scott's eyes, and it seemed like it had finally clicked in his Mind, "Yeah, I know that Theory. The Idea that every decision in itself creates another Universe, isn't that it? I read about that in a sci-fi book."

Scott sprouted out, a proud smile forming on his face. Tenno also smiled before responding, "Yeah, good… It's not like that," Scott's smile crumpled just as fast as it came, replaced by a feeling of dread.

"In short, Eternalism means that past, present, and future all exist at the same time, and by changing your perspective relative to time, you could theoretically interact with different moments instead of being locked to the now, which was possible with the Void. So there were different dimensions with different aspects of time, but they all belonged to one timeline in the form of a cube."

Scott now just looked to the ground, lost completely and stripped of all hope, as Tenno continued.

"It's Ok that you don't understand, Scott. It's only a Theory after all, and with what I've experienced till now, probably no longer a valid one."

"What do you mean by that?" Scott asked,

"Well… I am, in fact, from another universe than yours. And at this point, I've already been to two universes other than my own, and the Void works way differently here than where I'm from. So what I really wanted to say with all of this, Scott, is that I don't know where we are, and I have no way to get us out of here. For all I know, the Multiverse Theory is valid, and the Void is just what is in between these Universes. But that is only my Theory and not really based on any meaningful amount of research… or proof, for that matter."

"Oh wow, from another Universe, wait, are you an alien then?" Scott asked, his interest reawakened, but also unconsciously trying to crawl backwards.

"No… well, yes… it depends. I am a human, if that is what you want to know, at least I was one once. Now I'm a Tenno, but that's another story entirely. Just know that I won't harm you unless you give me a reason to," Tenno explained, calming Scott's nerves at least somewhat.

"And I am sure that this is the Void and not the Quantum realm, because I can still use its energy as I used to," Tenno explained as he began to channel some Void energy in his hands and enlighten the room with it, setting Scott in a state of awe.

"We also never used shrinking as a form of getting in or out of the void. It was always like we broke through something to get there, and the Quantum realm seems to me as if it exists already next to your reality, you were just too big to interact with it."

Scott slowly nodded his head, seemingly slowly coming to terms with his current situation.

"About how you got here in the first place, I would say your guess is as good as mine. I never thought I would get a visitor around here anyway, so I never gave it any serious thought."

Scott now only stared downwards, deeply in thought. "I've got an Idea, can you give me back that shuriken, please? I want to try something."

Tenno flew over to him, Scott flinching back for a second, till he came to terms with it, as he gave back the little blue glowing throwing star.

"As I understand it, this is for enlargement, so would you mind doing this outside of my ship?" Tenno asked, as he held out one of his hands. Scott nodded, and jelped in shock as Tenno pulled him towards the hole in the hull, and they began their way outside.

"Wow, I really was inside a spaceship right now," Scott said as they came to a stop, a good amount away from where the Orbiter floated about.

"Says the one who can shrink into infinity. I think that is way more interesting than space travel, but what do I know?" Tenno responded as he let go of Scott, floating a bit away from him.

"Ok, so this was the regulator, and this goes here, and then I place this somewhere around here, ready… wish me luck," Scott said as he replaced what he called the regulator with his shuriken.

"Good luck, I guess," Tenno said before he witnessed Scott press the button and suddenly enlarge right before him up to the size of about 20m.

"Ok, what exactly did you try to accomplish with that?" Tenno asked as he flew upwards until he was next to Scott's helmet.

"I thought maybe through enlarging again I would leave this place, but I guess that didn't work," he said, as he reached for his helmet and opened it up.

"I know I shouldn't say this, but you look really silly," Tenno said with a smile on his face.

"Haha, very funny," Scott said in response and pressed the shrink button after he changed the shuriken for the regulator, and shrank down to his normal size again.

"Good, now we are at the start again," Tenno said, taking Scott's hand and leading him over to the ship. This time, though, he floated them over to his living quarters.

"I think you will find it quite more comfortable around here," Tenno said as he forcefully opened the door, and Scott analyzed his new surroundings.

"Quite sterile," Scott reported, which made Tenno chuckle.

"I never really use this room, you could say I'm a workaholic," he responded, setting Scott down on a sofa. The view of the deep, dark outside made it seem like the viewing window was just a black wall, so Scott hopefully wouldn't develop astrophobia or something like that while he was in here.

"In contrast to before, I also have some good news to share with you," Tenno finally said, watching Scott settle into the room.

"I have a way to communicate with the outside world, maybe even yours, and even make a small portal to that Universe. There are just a bunch of problems with that." As Scott heard this revelation, a big smile began to appear on his face, and even a few tears, which couldn't be held back anymore.

"Man, why didn't you say so before? I really just began to settle down on the fact that I will stay here forever," he sobbed as he tried to jump over to Tenno and hug him.

"Hey there, cowboy, slow down, as I said, Small portal, just small enough to fit my hand through. And as you can't shrink past your current size or so it seems, we are still stuck here until I find a way to get it bigger or us smaller."

At that mention, Scott's eyes lit up, "I can't shrink further because of my regulator, it got damaged after that whole shrinking debacle, and can only reset my size anymore. If you could somehow contact Hank and Hope, I'm sure they would be able to help me repair this thing and get us out of here."

Tenno looked at Scott in thought before speaking up, "Ok, that may be worth a try, but I'm currently not able to reach Earth any time soon, so you will have to wait a bit."

Scott nodded and wiped away some tears that had gathered on his cheeks. "I shall wait, no matter how long it takes, as long as I can get back to Cassie, I'm ready to endure anything."

Tenno smiled as he left for the door, "It's good to have that kind of resolve, but I have a better Idea. I will just cast a sleeping spell at you. Like that, you also won't get any thoughts about my ship," he quipped happily. Before Scott could react, he shot said spell at him, making him float about in space, as he fell into a deep slumber.

"Safety first," Tenno thought as he teleported over to his transference chair.

He began to meditate as the chair closed its shell around him, and total darkness began to envelop him.

Swiftly, he drifted into a sleep-like state, the connection for the transference activating, as he felt his mind slip from his current body and wander over to his Warframe.

As he awoke, he instantly switched over to his astral projection and went over to Thor and Wanda.

Wanda had a look of horror in her eyes, while Thor lay flat on the ground.

"That was awesome," Thor said with a big smile on his face as he stood up.

Tenno smiled back before facing Wanda, who slowly began to blink again.

"I know this could be a bit much, but as a Sorcerer, you will face even worse than this on a regular basis," Tenno tried to encourage her, but it didn't calm her down in the slightest.

Thor began to laugh, "You really know how to enlighten one's spirit, my friend," he said between tears of joy, as he tried to pet him on the back, but just fazed through.

Tenno looked at Wanda apologetically before holding out one hand to help her up, which she thankfully took, as he began leading her towards the front window.

Thor furrowed his brow, again reaching for Tenno but again passing through his body.

"How exactly does that work, Tenno? Sometimes I pass through, sometimes not. What's up with that?" Thor confronted him.

Tenno looked around, smiled mysteriously at him, but didn't say a word.

Instead, he went over to a shelf and took one of Rocket's new combi suits. It was a fusion of his Aero jet, space suit, and Tennos shield technology, compactly fitted into one housing unit, and went over to Wanda.

"I know this is your first time off-world, so I got a little something here to make you feel at least somewhat safe," Tenno said as he handed the palm-sized combo suit over to Wanda.

She looked at him in confusion, which made Tenno smile as he patted his chest. "You place it here, and it expands automatically. Don't worry about how it feels, it's just a survival tool for outer space, like that, I don't always have to keep an eye on everything you do."

Thor analyzed the little device, interested, while Wanda just nodded and did as instructed.

A blue hue instantly appeared around her, while the aero jet began to expand around her chest at the same time. Wanda looked down at herself in awe while searched for a mirroring surface around the ship to gaze at herself.

"Is that a Jetpack?" Wanda asked excitedly, as she went over to Tenno and tried to throw herself around his neck, but she also just passed through him.

"Sorry about that, I can only make small portions of my body tangible at the same time. Long story, but I'm working on it," Tenno explained with an apologetic smile on his face.

Thor analyzed Wanda's body in the meantime, especially interested in the energy around her. "What is this blue hue?" he asked, intrigued, while touching Wanda's shoulder with his index finger, getting repulsed by it.

"A Shield to keep her safe, and a spacesuit that activates once she's in the vacuum," he answered Thors question, before facing Wanda once more, "believe me when I say that Humans are not the only aggressive species out there in the Universe, you should always rather be safe than sorry," Tenno explained as the hew began to turn invisible, except for the part where Thor was still poking around.

Wanda looked at him in annoyance and swatted his hand away. "Stop that," she said, while Thor shook his hand from the shock the shield gave him.

"Nice Tech, make sure Stark doesn't get his grubby fingers on it, or I'll have to fight for real next time," Thor said with a dreamy smile, imagining the glorious battle that would lead to.
