Chapter 35 - Sword Raid

The sun burned brightly over the kingdom, pouring golden light onto the stone streets and waving banners, making the air seem to shimmer. Laughter filled the streets, mixing with music, vendors calling out, and the sound of coins clinking. If someone had closed their eyes, they would have thought the whole world was celebrating.

Because it was.

The festival grounds stretched as far as the eye could see, rows upon rows of stalls lined together like a living maze. Colorful canopies flapped in the warm breeze, each one screaming for attention.

"Fresh honey pastries! Still warm!"

"Limited-edition charms! Only today!"

"Try your luck! One shot, one prize!"

Vendors moved hastily, sweat on their brows, voices hoarse as they tried to lure as many customers as possible. Some waved their arms wildly, others rang bells or banged wooden sticks together to draw eyes their way.
