Chapter 114 - Chapter 110 : Marvel: The Multiverse’s Favorite Disaster Zone

A month passed quietly.

The Anti-Virus had spread across America, the infected were gone, and for the first time in sixteen months, the world was rebuilding.

The ruins of cities slowly came back to life, survivors returned to their homes, and hope—real hope—finally returned.

It was also time for Luke and the others to return to the MCU.

Jill stood at the edge of the rebuilt settlement, watching people repair old streets and repaint buildings. Children were running around again. Stores were reopening. Laughter existed again.

"Well," Jill said softly, "I'm gonna miss them. We actually made a real home here."

Luke nodded. "That's how journeys work. Every path has a departure. But the world's in good hands now."

Selene looked over her shoulder at the distant skyline. "They survived hell. They'll rebuild their paradise."

Alice stepped closer. "Then… shall we? I'm honestly curious about the other worlds you mentioned."

Luke smiled. "Trust me, you'll like the next one. At least there aren't zombies everywhere."

Jill rolled her eyes playfully. "That better be true."

Before they left, survivors gathered to say goodbye. Men, women, and children cheered for Luke and the group. Hands waved, voices shouted, and several soldiers saluted him like he was a national hero.

"You really are going to be missed," Jill whispered.

Luke shrugged. "They'll forget me in a month."

Selene smirked softly. "You really don't understand people."

Then a shimmering portal opened behind them — swirling with blue and gold energy.

Luke turned to the people watching. "Take care of yourselves. And… live well."

Together, they stepped through the portal.

And that was how the Resident Evil arc ended.

But what Luke didn't know — what none of them knew — was what happened after they vanished.

Across the world, survivors built shrines dedicated to him. The man who ended the apocalypse. The man who destroyed Umbrella. The man who brought hope back.

Songs were written about him.

Stories passed from village to village.

Children grew up hearing tales of "The Black-Clad Savior."

Elders called him "The God Who Burned the Nightmares Away."

Entire communities preserved his deeds in books like holy scripture.

Future generations would worship him as a myth… a divine guardian who descended from the sky and saved humanity.

Luke never saw any of it.

He simply walked into the portal, half-asleep, thinking his job was done — completely unaware that he had left behind a legacy that would grow into a worldwide religion.

MCU – New York City

Inside Luke's apartment

A swirling portal opened in the middle of the living room, bending the air with a ripple before stabilizing. One by one, the four stepped through — Luke first, then Selene, then Alice, and finally Jill, who stumbled forward like she just got off a roller coaster.

She blinked, adjusting to the sudden brightness and cleanliness of the room.

"So this is another world?" Jill asked, still recovering her balance.

Luke pointed lazily toward the balcony. "You can check for yourself."

Alice and Jill exchanged looks, then headed straight to the balcony. The moment they stepped outside, the wind brushed past them — warm, polluted, alive.

New York City stretched before them, glowing and bustling. Cars honking. People yelling. Screens playing ads.

"Definitely another world," both said at the same time.

In their world, major cities were graveyards. Here, skyscrapers stood proud, streets were full, and the world felt… untouched.

Alice leaned on the railing. "It feels unreal. Like looking at a past that never got ruined."

Jill nodded slowly. "A world that never collapsed."

Alice turned back into the apartment. "So, anything special about this place?"

Luke sat on the couch, stretching his arms. "Special? Oh yeah. This world is basically a walking circus of insanity."

He lifted one finger.

"You've got gods."

Another finger.

"Aliens."

Another.

"Demons."

Another.

"Inhumans, mutants, monsters, cosmic beings, zombies—pick something weird, and it probably exists somewhere."

Jill blinked at him. "Isn't that list a little… big?"

"Nope," Luke said flatly. "This is normal here. The city looks peaceful now, but give it a year — maybe a month — someone or something will try to destroy the planet."

Alice raised an eyebrow. "And you live here?"

"At least you only had to deal with zombies in your world," Luke shrugged. "Here, the apocalypse gets a sequel every few years."

Selene smirked slightly. "He's not exaggerating."

Jill stared at Luke. "So we escaped a nightmare world… only to land in a more chaotic one?"

Luke stood up and clapped his hands. "Welcome to Marvel. Please keep your arms and legs inside the multiverse at all times."

"Now let's go eat. I miss fresh pan-made pizza," Luke said, already heading for the door.

He wasn't joking — a full year in the Resident Evil world had tortured his taste buds. No pizza, no proper soda, no snacks, no desserts. Just apocalypse meals: canned beans, ration bars, dried meat, and whatever didn't look contaminated.

His tongue had suffered enough.

In this world, the very thought of hot melted cheese, soft crust, and a cold fizzy drink made him feel emotional.

Yeah… he was starving for real food.
