Of course, Blake knew the saying.
Curiosity killed the cat.
It had been repeated so often it almost lost meaning, but not entirely. Not when moments like this came.
Still, he wasn't a cat anymore.
'And it's not as if I can avoid it...'
From Myles' perspective, Trail-X was the obstacle anyway, so rules like that didn't quite apply to Blake, who had to avoid the worst case scenario.
"I'll sneak for my lover," he murmured under his breath, straightly walking towards the bathroom.
It truly wasn't such an unexpected outcome.
If anything, it was almost predictable.
'The hero,' Blake thought as he stepped further in, footsteps light, careful. 'In most stories, he assumes he's alone when he's in a public space like this. And because of that, he talks freely. Like no one could possibly be listening.'
Maybe this is one of those moments.
And, sure enough, there was a low, quiet voice coming from one of the stalls.
"As you said…"
Blake didn't hesitate.
