Chapter 6 - Last Day in Hospital part 3

Heka was excited when he saw the doctor came with several nurses. The doctor said that Heka was allowed to go home today. However, he had to undergo regular treatment.

Heka did listen well. But he would never want to do it, because it was useless at all.

He had promised himself to no longer undergo treatment in any form. He was tired of listening to all the things that spit out from the doctor. It was futile at all.

After the doctor left, he ordered a taxi and went straight home. He was relieved that he had cleaned up all his own. And now he was just waiting for a taxi to arrive.

Before going home, he did not forget to say goodbye to the boy. But he didn't do it directly.

Instead, he simply glanced into the boy's room and gave a subtle nod, as hinting that he was leaving. The boy responded with a gentle smile, a quiet acknowledgment that needed no single word.

A few minutes later, the taxi arrived. They quickly set off for home.

During the ride, his mother turned to him with concern and asked, "Heka, how will you get another treatment tomorrow?"

"No. After all, it is certain that the results are always the same as before. I'm tired of taking soporifics too." Heka replied firmly. A faint smile to let his mother figured out that he was fine.

"Then, all these drugs… don't you want to take them at all? Or just throw it away?" His mother looked worried, but she knew his struggle well.

Heka considered for a moment before answering certainty. "Hmm… it's better to just throw it away. Is it okay Mom?" Heka knew that the drug may not have any effect like all the soporifics he had ever taken. It was true that those sleeping pills never helped him to rest.

His mother also knew very certainly about her son's condition. So she never forced him to check up.

When he got home, he walked straight to his room. He lived in a fifth floor apartment.

"Mom, I want to rest." He begged his mother softly. He hoped if she wouldn't bother him, even just to remind him to take his meals.

As he was in his room, he just stared outside the window for a few hours. His eyes traced the quiet vibes outside his home. Yet he did nothing else. Time seemed to slow as he remained motionless. It is absorbed in the stillness, like a dump starfish.

In that moment he was aware if he became an idiot just staring blankly out the window. But it was a good look, when he pretended like a fool sometimes. The one who had an empty mind and free life.

Today, he simply didn't want to do anything. For him, this was one of the few advantages of living on the top floor. The view from above was always breathtaking. Especially at night, when the city lamps seemed like they were twinkled like stars. It was simple but it was sparking when at his glance, there were just the stars everywhere.

Although the view from the bedroom window was always beautiful, it stood in stark contrast to his own life. He imagined when he was living in a beautiful place and serene as the scene before him.

Without realizing, the night had fallen. It was time for dinner. He left the room and approached his parents. Even though he wasn't so hungry, he had to eat so that his parents wouldn't be too worried and show them that he was fine at all.

When he returned to his room, he did not forget to bring a cup of milk to accompany his night. He glanced toward the window. He guessed if he couldn't sleep. Because he didn't feel sleepy at all.

"It looks like tonight I can't sleep at all."

Usually, he would try to make the most of his night by completing his work or catching up on tasks. Tonight, it would be different. His mind refused to cooperate. He felt exhausted, heavy and unwilling to focus.

"Probably, I want to laze around all night and just spend the time playing games, so I don't get bored." He thought with a faint smile.

Even though he was only playing games all night, his mind remained burdened by those lingering words. The mystery he was hard to resolve. Despite his efforts to search for answers on Google. Every concept eluded him. The more he tried to understand, the more he confused.

For now, he also refrained from figuring out what Astral Projection was. Because he already knew the only person who could give him the answer . It was that boy.

Unfortunately, now he was being treated, so there was no way he could bother him.

"Roughly when will be the right time to contact him? Should I wait a week for him to be healthy? The last time he saw him he already seemed well and it's possible for him to go home."

Lost in thought, he barely noticed how quickly time passed as he remained absorbed in playing games. Before he knew, it was almost midnight. His institution was right. Sleep was elusive. He truly was not able to rest at all.

His mind raced with unsettled thoughts, whispered worries and blurred memories that he even didn't know what it was. The night vibes were a distant lullaby that failed to soothe.

Every time he tried to pull the blanket tighter around, hoping to get the comfort of warm to coax him into rest. But the more he tried, the more awake he felt.

The silence of the room was deafening. Yeah breath amplified in the stillness.

He began to wonder if there was something wrong with him. Why did he feel so unwilling to fall asleep? Why does his body seem to resist rest? It was this very resistance that had trapped him in long. Undermining every treatment he had ever undergone.
