Accompanied by a deafening explosion, the colossal War Master-Class Titan, like a god descending, roared as it shattered the ice sheet on the surface of Helson III.
The forty-meter-tall steel giant revealed its majestic form amidst the swirling ice crystals, its armor shimmering with psyker runes that emitted a faint blue glow in the polar winds.
The divine machine emerged, striding forward, destroying everything in its path.
Each heavy metallic footfall of the Titan caused an earthquake-like tremor, and the ice plain beneath its feet cracked into a spiderweb of fissures.
The moment this war machine from ancient technology appeared, the entire battlefield trembled.
Upon its initial appearance, this super war machine, with an unstoppable momentum, used the twin-linked laser cannons on its knees to directly pinpoint and destroy several Killa Kans that were charging towards the Imperial Army's position.
Precise high-energy beams, like the fingertips of death, each accurately struck the core parts of the Ork war machines, blowing them into balls of burning scrap metal.
Immediately after, the War Master-Class's shoulder missile launchers roared, and dozens of missiles, trailing exhaust, whistled out, flipping over Ork vehicles and Deff Dreads rampaging across the battlefield.
The explosions merged into a single blaze, illuminating the ice plain as if it were daytime, and shattered Ork parts splattered like rain.
But that wasn't all; with two plumes of thick smoke from the War Master-Class's head, two Apocalypse-class missiles were launched with a destructive shriek, directly smashing into the Stompa that was advancing towards the Imperial Army's position.
These city-destroying superweapons arced deadly lines through the air, aiming directly at the vital points of the Ork war behemoth.
It was only then that the War Master-Class's left arm-mounted Dominus Plasma Annihilator completed its charge, the blue energy gathered at its muzzle resembling an imminent supernova.
With a sky-shattering roar, a brilliant blue plasma beam tore through the air, slamming with overwhelming force into the Stompa, which was even larger than the War Master-Class itself.
The explosion of the two Apocalypse-class missiles knocked out the Stompa's Void Shield; although the Greenskins had installed more than one set of Void Shields on this thing, the power of the Apocalypse-class missiles still overloaded the Stompa's Void Shield, creating a gap of several seconds before a new Void Shield could activate.
This brief window of time was the crucial moment that would decide the battle.
And this War Master-Class seized this precious and critical opportunity, its Plasma Annihilator accurately striking the Stompa's frontal armor.
The searing plasma stream instantly melted through the crude Ork metal armor, leaving a shocking molten crater on the Stompa's massive body.
"It seems that for long-range combat, the plasma cannon is still more powerful. Fortunately, I changed weapons," Alex observed from his warship in orbit, overlooking the entire battlefield.
This time, he did not personally control the Titan, but allowed the crew to operate it themselves.
Before redeploying the War Master-Class, Alex had specifically adjusted the weapon systems.
He removed the right arm power claw, which had originally been fitted with a Graviton Blast Cannon, and replaced it with a Dominus Plasma Annihilator.
This decision now seemed incredibly wise—a brilliant blue plasma beam struck, leaving a shocking molten scar on the Stompa's hideous body.
From the effect, it indeed caused more damage to the Stompa than the graviton cannon.
While the plasma cannon's armor-piercing capability was slightly inferior to grav-weapons, for targets like the Stompa, which are cobbled together from miscellaneous metals, the continuous high-temperature ablation effect was even more significant.
On the Stompa's body, welded together from discarded starship armor plates, the massive crater melted by the plasma was spewing thick smoke.
Boiling plasma flowed along the edges of the pit, burning the surrounding metal red-hot and shiny, yet this steel behemoth still stood firm.
"What a tenacious creation," Alex narrowed his eyes, noticing that beneath the Stompa's melted armor, thick energy conduits and the casing of a green-glowing reactor were faintly visible.
Although the plasma cannon caused considerable damage, it was still far from a fatal blow.
Despite the Stompa appearing to be a monstrosity cobbled together from scrap metal, junk, and Ork's insane 'I fink it works' philosophy, with its crude outer armor covered in rust and crooked weld marks, its defensive capabilities far exceeded the impression its appearance gave.
Beneath those seemingly haphazardly piled metal plates lay energy distribution systems meticulously designed by Ork Meks, and the pervasive WAAAGH! field throughout its body provided it with extraordinary protective capabilities.
Under the bombardment of the War Master-Class Titan's Plasma Annihilator, the brilliant blue plasma beam, powerful enough to vaporize an armored company, struck the Stompa's frontal armor, yet only melted a huge dent into its body, which was made of discarded starship armor plates.
Boiling plasma flowed across the Stompa's surface, scorching it with dazzling orange-red marks, but it failed to penetrate its core structure.
This Ork war behemoth merely shook its boiler-converted head, letting out a deafening roar, clearly indicating that the damage it sustained was far less severe than it appeared.
Just at this critical moment, the War Master-Class's right arm psyker cannon finally completed its charge.
Accompanied by a bone-chilling energy hum, a dark energy beam sliced across the battlefield, directly tearing open a Warp rift on the Stompa's face, which was cobbled together from scrap metal.
This rift, like a demonic maw, twisted and writhed, frantically devouring all matter around it.
The last time the War Master-Class used this weapon, the Necrons' meticulously arranged Doom Scythe formation was instantly swallowed by the Warp rift.
However, the Orks' Stompa displayed astonishing resilience—their innate psychic affinity made the WAAAGH! field particularly effective in countering Warp incursions.
Although the rift tore apart half of the Stompa's body, ripped off one of its mechanical arms, and even sheared off most of its head, this steel behemoth still stood firm.
Even more terrifying, the Stompa, with only one arm remaining, continued to fight with its damaged body.
Its scrap-metal body emitted a grating metallic screech, and broken cables and hydraulic pipes sprayed black oil, yet it stubbornly maintained its combat stance.
The insane 'I fink it works' power of the Ork Meks allowed this war machine to break through physical limits; its sole remaining mechanical arm made a teeth-grinding metallic twisting sound, as it forcefully aimed the'Super Gatling Kannon', modified from a ship cannon, at the War Master-Class Titan.
This colossal weapon, which should have required a complete power supply system to operate, miraculously completed its charge despite being damaged.
Green electrical arcs flickered unstably at the muzzle, and an energy overload hum emanated from within, yet it still fired an astonishingly thick green energy beam at the War Master-Class.
This attack, imbued with WAAAGH! energy, sliced across the battlefield, accurately striking the Titan's frontal armor, causing its multi-layered Void Shield to flicker violently, and energy readings instantly surged into the danger zone.
The shield generators emitted shrill alarms, and several secondary shields even temporarily failed due to overload.
This Ork war machine proved with its actions that even with only half a body, it remained the most dangerous killing machine on the battlefield.
Its single eye glowed with insane green light, and its broken metal jaw opened and closed, as if emitting a silent mockery.
But everything ended there; the Void Shield on the Stompa, having lost half its body, had already failed, and the energy distribution systems meticulously designed by the Meks had long since been destroyed in the previous battle.
And without the protection of the Void Shield, it was merely a large target for the Warlord-class Psy-Titan—a steel wreck about to be completely destroyed.
