While everyone in the estate remained busy with their own matters, nobody noticed the quiet disappearance that happened in the darkness.
The cubs had already fallen asleep.
The adults were busy inside the main residence, and the master bedroom was once again filled with enough chaos to make everyone outside pretend they heard absolutely nothing.
Meanwhile, far away from the garden...
The mysterious female, the male accompanying her, and the little mermaid cub quietly disappeared into the darkness.
No one saw them leave.
No one knew when they had arrived.
And no one even knew that they had ever been there.
By the time the first rays of sunlight appeared the next morning, there was no trace of them left.
It was as if they had never existed.
The next morning, after waking up and eating a hearty breakfast, all the cubs headed straight back out to the garden to play.
