Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Beast King Meat! Return to Cocoyasi Village!

Nami hadn't expected Lynn to step forward so decisively.

"Lynn, can you really beat that huge black bear?" she asked, pouting slightly as she looked at him with concern.

"Don't worry, Nami. I'm stronger than I look. This time, I'll show you the true power of my Devil Fruit!" Lynn replied with a knowing smile.

"Alright... But if you can't beat it, run back immediately! I'll open a portal to my pocket dimension for you!" Little Nami took a deep breath, her expression serious.

"Got it. But trust me, I can take this thing down in one move!" With that, Lynn strode toward the towering beast.

Nami watched him go, her small face creased with worry. Keeping her guard up, she swiftly opened a nearby portal, ready to pull him back at a moment's notice.

Lynn walked forward, step by step, his body gradually igniting with searing flames.

Nami's eyes widened in astonishment. Flames weren't just swirling around him—they were melting the ground beneath his feet, turning soil and stone into molten magma!

"Whoa! Lynn is incredible!" she gasped, awe shining in her bright eyes.

With a deep, resonant boom, Lynn completed his transformation into his full Beast Form.

The massive black bear snarled, its deep, guttural roar shaking the air as it tried to intimidate him. But Lynn was unfazed.

With a powerful burst, he rocketed into the sky, flames trailing behind him like a comet. His blazing phoenix eyes locked onto the bear below with fierce determination.

As he ascended, the intense heat of his flames distorted the air around him, creating a shimmering, wavering effect. Even as he prepared for battle, a thought flickered through his mind: After I take this thing down, what kind of feast should I ask Bell-mère to cook with it?

Sensing danger, the black bear hesitated. It suddenly wanted to flee—this opponent was far stronger than it had anticipated. But its massive body was a hindrance. No matter how hard it tried, it couldn't leap high enough to reach Lynn.

Lynn's transformation bore some similarities to Marco's Phoenix Fruit abilities—both shared the power of flight and elemental flames. But there was a crucial difference.

Marco's flames had unparalleled healing properties.

Lynn's Fire Phoenix flames? They embodied pure, unrelenting destruction.

The black bear, realizing the threat, turned to flee. But it was already too late.

Lynn flapped his flaming wings, unleashing an inferno that surrounded the bear in a circle of blazing fire. The beast roared in fear, trying to find an escape, but every time it approached the flames, the unbearable heat forced it back.

"Fire Emperor: Flame Strike!" Lynn roared as he dove toward the bear.

His burning talons slashed down, striking the beast's forehead with terrifying force.

Shhk! The sharp, searing claws pierced through its skull effortlessly. The black bear let out one last, agonized howl before collapsing with a thunderous thud—lifeless.

Lynn landed gracefully, his flames dissipating as he shifted back into human form. He turned to Nami with a triumphant grin.

"Sugooiii!!"

"Lynn, you really took down that giant bear in just one move…" Nami gawked, her mouth hanging so wide open that an entire orange could fit inside.

Nami closed the door she had just opened and walked toward Lynn.

"It's no big deal. I told you I'm strong!" Lynn grinned, clearly pleased with Nami's praise.

Seeing the two massive beasts lying on the ground, Nami's eyes sparkled with excitement. Lynn had mentioned earlier that the meat of the Beast Kings was especially delicious!

"Lynn, hurry up and take care of the Beast Kings! I want to move all of them into the pocket dimension!" Little Nami urged impatiently.

She was already imagining the shocked expressions Bell-mère and the others would have when they saw all the meat that evening.

"Alright, Nami, step back and let me handle this. I need to skin the tiger and the bear first. Their pelts would make a majestic cloak or something!" Lynn pulled out his knife and began working on the two giant creatures.

Hearing that, Nami's mind spun with new ideas. If Lynn was going to use the Beast King's fur for a cloak, then maybe she could have some outfits made from it!

She glanced at the tiger's pelt and made up her mind—she'd ask Bell-mère to make her some clothes out of it.

She could already imagine it—her as a little tiger! Woooo!

The two massive beasts were so large that it took Lynn quite a while to break them down into manageable pieces of meat and bone.

By the time he and Nami had moved all the meat into the pocket dimension, the afternoon sun was already hanging low in the sky.

"Nami, we need to head back. If we're out too late, Bell-mère and the others will definitely start worrying about us." Lynn said gently.

"Uh-huh!"

"Then let's go home!" Nami beamed, clearly satisfied with this adventure at sea.

Not only had she eaten a legendary Devil Fruit, but she had also found several rare books on weather patterns and collected a huge supply of Beast King meat.

This trip had been an overwhelming success!

Lynn shifted back into his full Beast Form. Once his flames had settled, little Nami skillfully climbed onto his back.

"Nami, are you sitting tight?"

"Yeah! I'm ready. Let's go home!"

"Alright!"

Lynn flapped his blazing phoenix wings, and with a few powerful beats, they soared above the clouds.

After Nami confirmed the direction, Lynn accelerated, flying swiftly toward Cocoyasi Village.

"By the way, Nami, let's head to Loguetown next time! I have some things to take care of there."

"Loguetown? You mean the place where the Pirate King was executed?"

"That's the one!"

"Ooooh, that sounds exciting! But I'll need some time to prepare. It'll probably take… a month."

"A month? That works for me. Thanks for handling the navigation, Captain!"

"Hehe, it's no trouble at all! After all, I am your navigator!"

Lynn felt reassured. A month was the perfect amount of time to prepare for Loguetown.

His true goal there was the Navy's Rokushiki techniques—especially Soru, the high-speed movement ability that Lynn desperately wanted to master.

When the Fish-Man Arlong eventually arrived, Lynn was determined to eliminate him before he could retreat into the sea.

Arlong wasn't just any ordinary pirate. He was the third-in-command of the notorious Fish-Man Pirates, second only to Fisher Tiger and the future Warlord, Jinbe.

That's why Lynn took this matter so seriously—he couldn't afford any missteps.

Two hours later, Lynn landed on the beach behind Cocoyasi Village. The sun was already setting, casting a warm golden glow over the ocean.

"Lynn, do you think Bell-mère will find out that we snuck out to sea?" Nami asked, shrinking back slightly.

"Nami, we have to tell Bell-mère the truth. There's no way we can hide all this Beast King meat from her."

Lynn took Nami's hand, giving her a reassuring squeeze.

"But don't worry too much. We're both Devil Fruit users now. I believe Bell-mère will understand."

Hearing Lynn's words, Nami felt her nerves ease a little. Still, she couldn't shake the thought of Bell-mère's terrifying expression when she got angry.
