After a long chaotic and dreadful drive, section e and the demons of hell finally made it to the hospital where percy was being kept for observation.
Eren( stretching his arms ): I can't believe I'm back here so soon. I just want to sleep!!😫
Blaster: There's no way I'm going back to Percy's room. I can't handle him.
Drew: Me too. I already have a headache bcz of him.
Ci-n: I'm hungry😕
Denzel( patting grazel Jay's back ): Let's go to the cafeteria first. I need to feed grazel her milk before she starts to cry. I can't handle her tantrums right now.
Tony: U guys go ahead. We have to go check on percy and see if he can be discharged. We'll meet u at the cafeteria.
Drew( dramatically ): Yes, freedom from percy and also.....fooooooooood🤩🤩
He said and ran inside the hospital followed by the rest of section e, leaving behind the team who just shook their heads and sighed as they made their way towards Percy's room.
When they entered his room, a doctor was in the middle of finishing his examination.
They sat on the couches to wait till he was done examining him.
Once he was done, he turned to look at the rest.
Tripp: Doc how's percy now?
Doc: Better than he was before. His health is improving little by little. He's free to be discharged, just fill out some papers at the reception and he's good to go. And pls make sure he takes his meds on time from now on and try to avoid putting too much stress on him, who knows what could happen if he panics again like he did the last time, he needs to be more careful, this is a matter of life and death we're dealing with here. And if he can, try to atleast get him here for monthly check ups so that we can monitor his health.
Kent( nodding ): Ok. Thank u doc.
Doc: I'll take my leave now. I have more patients to examine.
He left and the others moved towards Percy's bed.
Percy( sulking ): Hey guys, seems like u didn't miss my handsome face since u didn't come see me sooner☹
They just rolled their eyes at him.
Percy: Where's my baby sistah? And aries baby? And keif baby?
Zia: Slow down with the questions a little but percy. First things first, you're getting discharged so go change out of ur hospital gown and then let's go get u a real meal and this hospital garbage😒
Percy: I vote for chocolate pancakes and a milkshake!
He said and ran into the cr to change into the clothes that we brought with us.
Lia( shaking her head ): He's still like a little kid.
Tony( sighing ): I'll go handle the paperwork.
Iris( pulling our her phone ): I'll alert everyone that Percy's getting discharged.
While they were busy waiting around for percy to finish changing and taking care of the paperwork, section e was busy creating chaos in the hospital cafeteria and almost getting kicked out of the hospital.
They were in the middle of fighting over each others food when they saw Percy's doc in the hallway.
Calix: Guys it's percy's doc!
He said pointing at the direction the doctor was going.
Felix: The one who called jay Ms. Martinez?
David: The one who gave her the files?
They all exchanged glances and then chased after the doctor.
" Wait wait doc wait! ", they all shouted at once.
The doctor stopped and looked back to see section e panting as they tried to catch their breath.
Doc: Can I help u with something?
David: Sorry to disturb u like this doc but we're friends of one of ur patients, percy mariano.
Doc: Oh yeah, he's ready to be discharged if that's what u all wanted to ask.
Denzel: We actually wanted to ask about something else doc. We wanted to ask u about the files u gave Ms.Martinez.
Doc: I'm sorry but that information is confidential. Doctor-patient confidentiality. I can't help u with that. Now if u'll excuse me.
David: No wait doc um can u pls tell us who those files belong to.
Kit: We know one belonged to percy and the other belonged to jay um Ms.Martinez or whatever but we need to know who the third file belonged to.
Felix: Pls doc it's important.
Doc: I just gave her the files that she ordered. Some from this hospital and some I had to get in touch with the hospitals in phillipines for and I was strictly told not to reveal who they belonged to. I can't tell u guys.
Ci-n: Pls doc it's important. We just want to help her but she keeps shutting us out. We don't want to see her get hurt doc pls.
Doc: I-
David: Which hospital did u contact in phillipines? Was it the Peralta hospital?
Doc: Yes. How did u know that?
Ci-n: My family owns that hospital doc. I'm Cinco Neith Peralta. U can tell me who that file belonged to. Think of it as one doc telling info to another.
Josh: Yes doc u can tell him that.
Doc( sighing ): Ok then. The third file belonged to a patient in this hospital, his name is....yuri hanamitchi.
" Yuri?! "
Doc: Yes. Do u all know Mr.Hanamitchi.
Josh: Um yes doc, he's one of our classmates.
Calix: Thank u for telling us doc.
David: Sorry for taking ur time doc.
The doctor nodded and went to continue his rounds.
Denzel( covering grazel's ears ): What the fuck! It was yuri?!
Drew: Why would she need Yuri's medical records?
Kit: Should we inform keifer about this?
Before anyone could say anything, a voice called them from behind.
Zia: What r u guys doing in the hallway?
They all turned abruptly and found the team looking at them with raised brows and crossed arms.
Felix: Um ah nothing!
Choi( glancing behind section e ): Was that Percy's doctor u were talking to?
Mayo: No!
Zia( Narrowing her eyes ): What did u guys do?🤨
David( calmly ): We were just asking the doc to take a look at grazel, she seemed a bit feverish.
Section e glanced at him and then nodded in agreement.
Lia( raising a brow ): R u sure there's nothing else.
Section e kept quiet until ci-n couldn't keep it in anymore and abruptly asked.
Ci-n: Why yuri?!
" CI-N! "
" What did u say? "
Section e and the team shouted at once.
Alys: What about yuri?
Eman( sighing ): We know it was Yuri's file u took from that doc.
Kit: Why Yuri's?
Tripp: Did u tell keifer, edrix, rory or anyone else about this?
Ci-n: We just got to know.
David: No one other than us knows.
Iris: Good. Let's keep it that way.
Kent: Don't tell anyone else.
Tony: And stop snooping around when u don't know the full story.
Calix: Then tell us the full story.
Alys: It's not ours to tell.
Zia: If this info gets out, I'll unleash barakuda on all of u. Trust me, Ik Jay's weakness. Just one glass and it's barakuda time. I'm sure u don't want that, right ci-n.
David: R u blackmailing us right now?
Lia: Do u want jay to get hurt?
Eman: Ofc not!
Alys: Then keep ur mouth shut!
Tripp: Especially in front of keifer. If he gets to know about this, what's stopping him from doing something to yuri? If he gets hurt, jay will get hurt.
Calix: How?
Robin: Have u ever heard of the saying ' The enemy of my enemy is my friend '?
Section e nodded collectively.
Tony: It's like that. Now stop wasting time and let's go, percy's getting discharged.
He had just finished speaking when Percy's cheerful voice echoed through the hallway.
Percy( dramatically ): Make way for ur handsome prince my ugly subjects, I have a date with chocolate pancakes and a milkshake!🤤
They all groaned collectively and left the hospital.
Back at the mansion:-
While section e and the demons of hell were barely surviving Percy's self obsession and his jokes, f4, the dream team, edrix and rory were busy working to built a strong defence and offence for jay and digging up clues to help her out.
They had divided the living room into two parts, one for the investigation squad and one for the hacker squad. Papers and files were covering the center table and half the floor. They somehow got a glass board which was covered with sticky notes and messy handwriting with a white marker. Wrappers were carelessly thrown everywhere. It looked more like a war zone than a living room.
They were in the middle of intense hacking and arguing over facts when mj suddenly shouted a series of curses as he emerged from the kitchen as he glared at his laptop.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at him with confused looks.
Thyme: What's wrong?
Mj didn't answer. Instead he started typing furiously on his laptop and then shut his laptop, then took out his phone.
Edrix( glancing between his laptop and mj ): Bro why did me lock out of ur server?
Rory: Me too. How can we help u now?
Mj: No need. Forget it. I have to go. Thyme you're driving.
He said without looking up from his phone.
Kavin: What happened?
Mason: Where r u going?
Ren: I'm coming too.
Mj: Guys....actually u know what, u guys come too. We might need back up. Edrix, rory u stay here.
Edrix: Why?
Right then keifer and honey entered the living room.
Keifer: What's going on here?
Rory: They're going somewhere without telling us.
Mj: We have to go now. U guys stay here.
He said and ran out, followed by the rest of the team, leaving keifer, honey, edrix and rory behind, looking at each other in confusion.
Keifer: Edrix can u track their location?
Edrix: Nah bro, mj's too fast. He already blocked us from tracking his or anyone other team member's location.
Rory: And he kicked us out of his server. Now we can't even help him with the case.
Honey: Why don't u just follow them?
Keifer: Then they'll change their destination or speed up to loose us.
Honey: Well, do u have any clue as to where they could go?
Keifer thought for a second.
Keifer: Not really but I have an idea. Edrix, rory can u track their cars?
Edrix: We can try.
He said and opened his laptop again.
After a few minutes of trying, they gave up on that too.
Rory: No luck. Mj's too smart. He already thought of everything.
Honey: What's so important that he went through so much trouble to make sure we don't find out about it.
Keifer( exhaling sharply ): It can only be one thing. Whatever it is, it's related to jay. They're this careful only when it comes to jay and they were just working on the case for jay.
Rory: What do u think it could be keifer?
Keifer( shaking his head ): Idk but whatever it is, I'll find it. I won't sit back and let them handle everything. We all know how that ended the last time they shut us out. I won't rest until Ik about everything that's troubling jay and then I'll help her in every way I can.
Back at The Mariano Empire building:-
Jay's POV
On call:-
Jay:- Hello.
" Hello jay ", mj's voice came from the other end of the call.
Jay: What's wrong? Did u find something?
Mj: A little too much.
Jay: What's that supposed to mean?
Mj: R u still at the office?
Jay: Yeah?
Mj: Wait for us there. Me and the team r on our way.
Jay: Wait what's wrong?
Mj: Just do what u went there to do by the time we come and u must might want to tell kuya angelo to check his messages.
Jay: Why?
I was growing more confused an anxious now.
Mj: Guess who came today.
Jay: Who?
Mj: Honey. And she can't wait to finally meet the infamous ion.
Jay( pinching the bridge of her nose ): This isn't going to end well, is it?
Mj: Nope. We'll be there in about 10 minutes. Get the conference room ready...only u and the team.
Jay: Okay...? You're acting more suspicious than usual now mj.
He didn't respond and instead cut the call.
End of call.
I looked at my black phone screen in shock. Did he just hung up on me? This news better be as big as he says it is or he's gonna get it from me👊
I sighed and went back to the office, only to be met by the scene of philip getting kicked in the nuts by aries while elena filmed the whole thing on her phone. Is this girl serious right now?
Jay: Stop it!
I said as kuya angelo was about to hit his slightly swollen face.
Jay: What's going on here? Why r u hitting him? And elena can u stop recording ur brother's misery!
Elena: Hey I'm just making sure u and the team doesn't miss out on anything and besides I brought some ice packs for this only. All my efforts to get them here would be wasted if this idiot doesn't get hit even once! And maybe u know, for blackmail purposes😅😈
I just shook my head and helped philip sit up on the couch as elena handed him an ice pack. Then I turned towards my brothers and papa.
Jay: Explain.
Kuya angelo: U don't get to command us like that.
Jay: I do when u go around punching and kicking my friends.
Aries: Friends or future fiances.
Jay: What? Ofc friends. U guys already know that that's never going to happen. We're just friends!
Papa: Tell that to the news channel. Apparently, ur engagement date has been fixed and the news is starting to spread like wild fire.
Jay: WHAT!?
Aries turned his phone towards me and their written in big bold letters was the news of my supposed engagement with philip.
Philip( graoning in pain ): I swear I have nothing to do with this jay. I didn't even know about this until now.
Jay: I'm gonna kill him. Screw the preparation and the bloody voting for the throne, I'm gonna kill him!
Papa: U might want to deal with this news first. If keifer gets to know about this-
Before he could finish, the cabin door burst open and in came my team.
Mj: I heard what u said, it's already been taken care of. My team back in thailand hacked into the news channel servers, deleted that news and deemed it false already. Keifer won't know about this. Don't worry about that.
Jay: Is this what u came here for?
Mj: That and something else.
Choi: First things first, kuya angelo can u make sure honey doesn't murder ate ion and also, what happened to philip?
Elena: It's better to watch it yourself.
She said and showed them the video of philip getting beaten up.
Mateo: Ouch!
Ren: Nice punch.
Thyme: That kick looked like it hurt.
Philip( groaning in pain ): A lot!
Aya: So that's why u took the medical supplies with u.
Elena: Yep.
She said and started cleaning the blood off of the corner of Philip's lip with cotton and applied some ointment on it.
Elena: See this is what happens when u annoy me too much. Karma is a bitch so be more careful next time my dear brother.
She said with a fake smile.
Jay: Can we get back to the case in hand now! Tell me what u wanted to talk about mj.
Mj: Conference room. Alone.
Alex: Before that, did u get the documents signed?
Jay: Oh yeah almost forgot.
Kuya angelo( crossing his arms ): We'll sign it if u tell me what's the secret u can't talk about in front of us.
Aries: And before u try to say anything else and try to get us to agree to let u guys talk in private, we want no more secrets between us.
Kuya angelo: We're family after all and future partners. So we demand zero transparency if this is going to work out.
Aries: U try to keep the secret from us and we tell keifer about everything we learned here today.
Papa: We do prefer u tell him anyways. It will be more helpful and the idea will be more effective if we have him in on this.
Jay: Papa-
Kuya angelo: He won't think that you're using him or his company or anything wrong that you're thinking of in that little overthinking brain of urs. He loves u too much. Just tell him about it and he'll make sure u face no more problems.
Aries: Trust us, we've seen how much he loves. We've seen a little too much.
Kavin:He'll probably flick ur forehead first to wake u up and see the reality of things and to remind u that u should just command him next time bcz you're his one and only queen.
He said dramatically, earning a smack on the head from me.
Mj: Ok so r we finally going to talk about the news I've got or not?
" Yes ", we all said at once.
Papa: Let's just talk here only. No need to go in the conference room.
Mj: Ok then. U guys might want to take a seat bcz this is.....a very unexpected news😐
Jay: Good news or bad news?🤨
Mason: Even we don't know.
Mateo: He kept saying we all would know at once even if we tried getting him to open up in the car multiple times.
Alex: Yeah, what's this big news?
Kuya angelo: Enough. Let him speak.
Everyone went silent and waited for the now nervous and uneasy mj to speak.
Mj: Ok first all, jay don't be angry but when we took ur phone I might have linked ur phone to my laptop and deleted a few messages and directed a number so that the messages r sent to me instead of u😅
Jay: What?! Why would u do that?
Kuya angelo: Who's number was it?
Thyme: Why didn't u tell us?
Mj: It was an unknown number who was sending some threats and warning of some sort and I didn't want jay to worry about them so I did what I had to! And that's not the biggest shock, the biggest shock came when I was finally able to trace who that number belonged to and.....
Jay: And what?
Mj: It's a little unbelievable. Even I'm not sure how but it belonged to.....Ralph Diaz or as he was originally called, Rodrigo Abalos, either way u know them, don't u?
He said looking at kuya angelo, aries and jay.
A chill ran through me as I remembered whi he was.
Mateo: Wait....What? Huh?
Kuya angelo( shaking his head ): It can't be. Ik Mr.Ralph, they're not the same person.
Mj: I'm afraid they r.
Kuya angelo: I've known him for years, he's a board member at fer corp, it's...it's impossible.
Mj: Everything is possible. Especially when it comes to one seeking revenge for what he believes is 'right'.
Mason( nodding ): As crazy as it seems, it kind of makes sense. New identity and face via forging new documents and plastic surgery and entering into fer corp, the company of the family who he thinks destroyed him and is now seeking for revenge, slowly getting his plan into motion without anyone detecting and that too from the inside after gaining a lot of trust, no one would ever suspect him at all.
Ren: And his plan would succeed. Seeing the end of fer corp and getting his own version of justice from tita jeana and jay.
Mj: That would have been the case if he hadn't dared send threats to jay and I hadn't caught him.
Aya: But he couldn't have done it all alone.
Kavin: That makes sense why his family is so eager with the case and saying they have a witness to proof it was a murder. What if Rodrigo is the witness to his own so called ' murder ' case, just wearing a new face now.
Ren( to kuya angelo ): Wasn't fer corp on the verge of bankruptcy? What r the chances it was an inside job and the person who caused so much trouble was Rodrigo himself.
Alex: And getting help from The Hanamitchi's was an obstacle in his plan.
Aries: Or maybe he wanted it to happen. Who knows what goes on in that sick bastard mind😒
Aya: Jay r u ok?
Everyone stopped making up assumptions and their bickering and turned to look at jay who was having trouble breathing, hands clutching the sofa until her knuckles turned white, her eyes looked distant, she was lost in deep thought.
Papa( rubbing Jay's back ): Jay r u ok?
I opened my mouth to say something. Anything. But no words seem to come out.
Aries( holding Jay's hand ): Breath jay.
Thyme( handing her a glass of water ): Here. Drink.
I took the glass with shaking hands and drank it in one go before handing it back with a slight appreciative nod.
Kuya angelo: R u ok now?
Jay( quietly ): He....he can't be alive. He can't...
Mj: Trust me, I wish I could otherwise but...it's true jay. I'm sorry.
I finally looked up at him through my teary eyes.
Jay: How? How can he still be alive? Everyone said he's dead. I know he's dead. I...
I swallowed hard. Not able to say more.
Aya: Jay, whatever happens next, we'll figure it out ok. Everyone's with u. Keifer's with u. U r not alone in this jay.
Mateo: Forget about everything for now. Let's get u out of this office and let's go do something. We're on vacation for God's sake.
Kavin: Exactly, we're supposed to be partying. Dancing our youth away, not worrying over how messed up our lives r.
Alex: It's finally then. No more depressing talk about the case, reviving ex-step dads or even that fucking Martinez clan, we're getting u out of here and we're devoting the rest of the day to fun!
Ren: We're long overdue for a whole day full of fun and chaos.
Mj( teasing grin ): And....maybe a romantic date with keifer😏🤭
Aya: Yesss. That's happening. With all this headache, it's like u don't have a love life. You're doing this whether u like it or not. U NEED it!
Jay( groaning ): I hate u guys!
But even as I said it, I couldn't stop a small smile from tugging at my lips.
Papa: U kids really need a distraction. Go have fun. And if I get to know u all were worrying about this chaos again, u will be punished with extending you're trip until u forget all the bad things happening in ur lives.
Elena( pointing at jay ): U don't need to tell us, u need to tell this party pooper over here.
Jay( smackjng her shoulder ): Hoy! What do u mean party pooper huh?!😤
Papa( shaking his head): Ok ok. Now go. And I'm take care of my daughter for me. Make sure she enjoys herself ok.
Aya: That won't be a problem with keifer their.
I put a hand over her mouth before she could say more and push her towards the exit while waving at papa with one hand.
We finally left the mariano building and made our way towards the mansion. On our way there we stopped for some snacks, chocolates and drinks for us and for section e as we got to know that they know about the files and we definitely need to bribe them to keep their mouths shut!
By the time we arrived at the mansion, everyone else were already there, we barely had time to drop the shopping bags on the table before section e pounced on them, fighting with each other over chips and expensive chocolates. Luckily I had already taken a generous share of chips, drinks and chocolates before hand. Hehe😁😈😏😆
Mason( clapping his hands ): Attention everyone!
Section e stopped mid fight, me and the girls stopped mid chat as they showed me what they bought on their shopping spree, the others stopped mid conversation and teasing and turned to look at mason who was standing in the middle of the living room with a juice bottle in hand like it's a mic.
Mason( dramatically speaking like a host ): Ok first things first, I know we have been busy with all the life crap and haven't been spending much time doing what we actually came her to do. To have fun and be chaotic as all young adults should. So we to make up for it, we will try to keep the messed up life talk to a minimum for the rest of the trip and enjoy our vacation starting right now! But first things first, u all r long overdue for a date! So here's what we r going to do, couples r gonna go on separate dates, the singles will explore the city and hopefully find themselves a girlfriend and then we r going to meet at sunset at a secret place sponsored by urs truly, F4. Yayyyyy!!!🥳👏
We all shook our heads at how dramatic he was being but were really excited to finally enjoy ourselves.
Ci-n: What about granda dabid? He's in a relationship but his girlfriend isn't here😕

Calix: But we haven't even discussed where we'll go or what we'll do.

Keifer( whispering to jay ): Wear something nice but comfortable. U don't need to dress to impress. U look beautiful in everything.
Before I could even react, mica grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs muttering something about buying a dress for me too while they were shopping.
