"How was it? Were Erza's thighs comfortable?"
Sorano asked with a teasing smile as Noah blinked himself awake. Still half-dazed, he answered without thinking:
"Very comfortable."
At once, Erza standing nearby flushed crimson. Sorano let out a long sigh, then suddenly brightened with mischief.
"Then next time, Noah, try mine!"
The entire room went silent. A collective gasp followed, and several of the younger girls squeaked before hurriedly covering their mouths.
Noah snapped fully awake at the commotion. Only then did he realize he had said something that probably shouldn't have been voiced aloud… and Sorano had taken it even further.
"I, uh… learned some very interesting magic this time. I also brought back a lot of books and research materials. Come take a look."
Waving his hand, Noah summoned a series of glowing screens into the air, filled with text and diagrams. The dazzling display instantly drew everyone's attention.
"What kind of magic is this? It looks incredible."
Sora, recognizing his attempt to change the subject, chose not to expose him. Instead, she smoothly joined in with the conversation.
"This is called Ancient Documents," Noah explained, his energy returning as soon as someone took the bait. "It's a form of magic that converts written information into data using magical power, and then processes it.
"With this, I can handle experimental data much more efficiently, and finding information becomes effortless. As long as I've stored a book or scroll in advance, I can retrieve it instantly with a simple search.
"The faster I can process information, the faster my research can advance."
He spoke at length about the benefits, his words brimming with enthusiasm, before showing off some of the more unusual tomes he had acquired from Blue Pegasus and the Four Hounds.
Konguo listened quietly, his expression gentle, simply watching Noah with calm approval.
Erza, though still faintly blushing, soon joined in, asking question after question. Noah did his best to answer each one in turn, and for a while the room buzzed with their discussion.
That lively atmosphere, however, was cut short when dinner was served.
Reluctantly, Noah joined everyone at the table, continuing to chatter about his discoveries. Others shared their own small adventures, laughter rising and falling around them. But no one mentioned the "afternoon incident." Afterward, they drifted back to their rooms for the night.
Though Sorano's earlier words still lingered in his mind, Noah eventually surrendered to the bedtime routines Erza and the others had forced upon him, and soon fell fast asleep.
The next morning, refreshed and brimming with energy, he rose early and made his way to the guild. There he met with Master Makarov, copying a selection of books and adding bottles of the medicinal wine he had brewed. These he personally delivered to Master Bob of Blue Pegasus and Master Goodman of the Four Hounds.
Both guildmasters were astonished by Noah's visit and even more so by the generous gifts. Yet neither refused. They accepted graciously.
Together, they agreed to deepen their exchange of knowledge and resources, ensuring their guilds would continue to share discoveries.
With those promises secured, Noah returned to Fairy Tail and began working out the details of the expansion.
His plan was simple: leave the original guildhall untouched, but expand into the land behind it, constructing a towering library.
The design called for nine stories, rising higher than the guild itself, each floor lined with towering shelves. Into this vast tower Noah intended to gather every book and record both the guild's collection and his own acquisitions.
At the same time, he carefully set magical restrictions, determining which volumes could be accessed by S-Class wizards and which were safe for those of lower rank.
After all, knowledge beyond one's capacity could be more dangerous than any curse.
Once the plans were finalized, Noah began seeking guild members with the right magic to help with construction.
He could have built it on his own, of course. But what would be the point of doing everything by himself? The guild belonged to everyone shouldn't everyone feel involved?
Fortunately, Fairy Tail had no shortage of mages with useful abilities. And even those without the right kind of magic were quick to lend a hand with their strength.
After more than a month of effort, the new Fairy Tail library finally took shape.
Strictly speaking, it shouldn't have taken that long. But with Natsu constantly picking fights, and Erza and Mirajane frequently dueling, much of the freshly built structure ended up in ruins again and again.
Whenever the guild saw a fight break out, half of them would join in. And so, day after day, most of the "construction" time was spent cleaning up battle damage rather than laying stone.
In the end, Noah had to forcibly put a stop to the chaos. Only then did progress resume, and the library was completed in just over a month.
Once the building stood tall, Noah chased everyone out so he could begin setting up the magical enhancements.
He layered the outer walls with protective wards, reinforced the structure, and wove charms to keep out dust and moisture. Beneath the tower, he carved enchantments restricting entry to only S-Class wizards and above.
He added conveniences as well. Drawing on the principles of Ancient Documents, he installed a magical screen underground. With it, one could input the title of a book to immediately locate the exact floor and shelf, or search by subject to receive recommended materials along with their summaries.
The main floor was furnished with tables and chairs for study.
At the very center of the tower hung a glowing sphere of light, casting a gentle radiance that made the interior as bright as day perfect for reading.
Every level was lined with shelves, clearly marked and organized, with staircases linking the floors for easy access.
With the design complete, the most daunting task remained: arranging the books.
Noah began by copying the volumes he had obtained from Blue Pegasus and the Four Hounds, sorting them into major and minor categories. As he did so, he entered all the data into Ancient Documents for reference. Next, he copied Fairy Tail's existing collection, placing it neatly in the library, and finally uploaded the contents of his personal library at home before transferring duplicates into the tower.
The work took him several months. When at last he finished his final checks, he left the system as it was. Any future modifications could be added later, but for now, the library was ready to open.
Of all the guild, Noah was naturally the happiest this was his hard work come to life.
The second was Levy. The moment the library opened its doors, she dashed inside, unable to contain her excitement, and buried herself in her beloved books.
