Chapter fourty-four.
Renjiro sits in his chair breathing.
Coach eiji: "yeah just breath. (He's out of energy already!?)"
The bell rings.
Renjiro: "thanks."
Renjiro put his mouth piece in and started cracking his neck as he spun his arm.
José walked to the spot in the ring he liked and stayed planted.
Renjiro: "it's like he's rooting himself to the mat. And I'm cutting him down."
Renjiro said stepping in and throwing a test jab that José didn't flinch at.
Renjiro: "good."
Renjiro threw another test jab then a heavy right hook was countered but José which dropped Renjiro.
Renjiro: "single shots only..."
Renjiro stood up as the ref said three.
Renjiro dashed in throwing a bunch of punches in quick formation before stopping and leaning on the ropes as his eyes glossed over José stood back at first only gently pushing towards.
Renjiro: "(I'll show Aito and Lucas that i too have power.)"
Renjiro said as he put one arm around José guard and pulled it down throwing a barrage of hooks then a uppercut.
José caught them all and returned with a whipped left hook making Renjiro bite the air.
Aito: "Renjiro can't win like this! He'll be knocked out!"
Aito said as Renjiro was still in a unconscious state.
Toruu: "No. He's taught himself a way to wake up."
Ref: "raise your guard or I'll end the match!"
The ref said to renjiro who snapped back to consciousness and fired off a one two then a left foot pivot to escape the ropes.
Toruu: "cheeky guy. He knows more then one trick."
Toruu said as Renjiro back stepped to the middle of the ring.
Then as José walked closer Renjiro threw a right uppercut making José lower his guard to catch.
Aito: "doesn't he learn!? He's gonna be countered!"
Aito said as Renjiro pulled his uppercut back and threw a left hook that was just about to hit José, before José leaned back and barely dodged it. Then the bell rang ending round two.
José sat in his corner breathing heavy.
José: "I was almost caught with that punch. I should play it tight and stay focus."
José mumbled as he looked to Renjiro's corner he was standing and drinking water.
Renjiro: "ah. That's good."
Renjiro said smirking at José not fazed that he was knocked down three times over this match so far.
The bell rang signaling round four.
José: "I'm gonna use it."
José said walking into the middle of the ring. Renjiro walked to the middle on his toes, as if it's round one.
Renjiro dashed in to throw a chopping right but José countered with spinning left hook making Renjiro fall.
José stayed standing only looking down at Renjiro as he didn't move.
Ref: "back to your corner! One! Two!"
José didn't move as Renjiro slowly stood.
Ref: "three! Four!"
Renjiro: "(those knock downs from earlier are starting to hurt.)"
Renjiro slowly stood.
Ref: "five! Six!"
Renjiro stood.
José: "I'll have to put him down for good."
José edged in.
Ref: "box!"
José slowly walked closer until he was in medium range with Renjiro. Renjiro threw a couple jabs at Renjiro breaking his guard then threw a quick right straight.
Aito: "I can't watch."
Aito covered his face.
Toruu: "... (could this strengthen Aito's path? No it can't possibly be... Aito knows the outcome before even seeing the scores?)"
Toruu looked at Aito with shock not being able to read him.
Meanwhile in a different part of the seats Naoki and Lucas sat watching the fight.
Naoki: "You think Renjiro will lose?"
Naoki asked Lucas.
Lucas: "Maybe. But Renjiro won't lose in round four he'll probably drag José to round seven atlease."
Lucas said remembering something.
Lucas: "last time Renjiro said 'you'll have to kill me' was when his mother died."
Naoki: "so he mom died again?"
Naoki asked.
Lucas: "no his father did."
As José landed the right straight Renjiro cross countered it finally doing damage to José making José stumble backwards onto the ropes.
Renjiro: "(Now it's my turn to bully you.)"
Renjiro said pushing forward with a long guard.
Renjiro threw a straight which José blocked and countered hard making Renjiro fall to one knee.
José: "now it's my turn... la jungla del tigre."
José said as the ring turned into a forest as Renjiro stood.
Ref: "Eight. Box!"
José closed into Renjiro who was leaned around the ropes with no guard, José closed in and trapped Renjiro in the corner.
