"I can't believe we're actually going," Taemin said, standing in the middle of the living room, hands on her hips. She had just finished zipping up her travel bag, which looked suspiciously overstuffed with snacks, thermal socks, and three novels she swore she had actually read on the journey. "I mean… we have been talking about this birthday for months, and now it is happening. My nephew's birthday. And the royal twins. I still do not know how I am going to survive all the pomp and ceremony without collapsing into a heap."
Nyra, sprawled across the couch with her boots off, laughed. "You will survive just fine. You always survive. And honestly, the babies are going to adore you. Especially if you bring chocolate. I have already decided that Aunt Taemin equals chocolate."
