"What does a mere human like you is doing in my domain? Speak or Die" The beast ordered. Every word sending waves of shivers down Ethan's spine. Not waiting any longer after hearing what the beast said, he decided to speak after mustering all his courage.
"S..sorry for the disturbance, it wasn't my intention. I heard there was a very powerful entity residing here, I came here to seek help from the powerful. My kid sister is terribly ill and I wanted to save her" Ethan said with both fear, sorrow and sadness.
"The old fool was right but will this abomination want to help me? Even if it refuses, I will find anyway to desuade it to help me out at all cost"
Ethan thought to himself, looking at the beast in front of him. He was ready to gamble anyhow to get what he came for, being resilient as he is, it was a complete NO to turn back if he had nothing that guaranteed Licia's life will be saved.
"As if his presence was not a miracle already, he is desperate to save his sister. I can use this desperation at my advantage and take over this fresh vehicle and finally exert what I've been long yearning for on this world" The beast thought to itself.
It's thought was no kind one but that which was evil. An evil grin could be seen forming on its face. This was really creepy and scary at thesame time. Ethan was all confused, he thought he had angered the beast moments ago but now it seemed to be not angry at all and was even grinning. But this grin meant nothing good at all.
"You have to be really bold to reach up to me mortal. I can help you, I can give you all that which you want but...." The beast who was saying something very pleasant to Ethan's ear suddenly stopped for no reason
"But....but what? Tell me!!!" Ethan exclamed, desperately unpatient to hear the next words of the entity
"But everything, every wish has it's own price to be paid for. What you want is very delicate and very pricely. The price to pay for a life is so unique and difficult to attain" The beast continued, in its deep terrific voice.
Ethan wasn't affected at all by its voice anymore, all that he was focused on was what it was saying. It could help him save his sister and that was all he needed to here to be at ease but now what was this price it was talking about to pay for a life.
"Tell me what the price is, I will pay, I will do anything you ask me to do. I am ready for anything you request" Ethan said, it was clear that he was desperate and would abide to anything he would be asked to do. Licia's life is in line and that is all that counts for now. Whether risky of not, he would accept anything and finally save her
"This further confirm his desperation I felt. It's clear in his voice and his eyes can't lie. This is a golden opportunity and I won't let it slip by. It's a matter of seconds and I will be free again" The beast thought to itself, rejoicing at this opportunity which was brought to it after so long. It would be free again after so many year.
"The price for a life is nothing other than another life itself. If you want be to save your sister, you will have to give me your soul" The beast explained in its deep terrific voice
Hearing that, Ethan paused for some seconds "A life for a life, it's quite logical. I didn't expect this at all but I was ready to accept anything at all cost. Is this really the right choice? What am I saying, this is my only chance to save her, I won't let it slip. But is this really what she would want me to do?"
Ethan was ready for everything to save her but right now he was asking himself questions that he wouldn't get the answer right now. This was the only opportunity he has to save Licia, whether the choice is good or bad, he had already made his mind to save her at all cost.
"Just that? I will give you my soul with no problem as long as you save my kid sister." Ethan said as if not disturbed about the risk at all. All that mattered was that Licia will be fine again even if he paid it so dear, it will be worth it.
"Then you will have to take me to her. But for that to be possible, I will have to enter your body" The beast said, Ethan was confused as to how a gigantic entity like itself could fit in his tiny body. See how confused Ethan was, the beast continued
"You see the crystal hovering in the middle of that altar?"
"Yes I can see it" Ethan said looking that the rocky altar not far from the pillars.
"It's the power source to this Formation Seal. It's been restraining me for years now and I can't do anything as long as I am on this Formation Seal. Remove the crystal from the altar to power down the Formation Seal. It won't break but I would be able to help you" The beast explained in its deep terrific voice.
Ethan didn't wait any longer and walked to the altar. It was also covered in blueish shinning scriptures that ran from it to the floor and to one of the pillars around the beast. The crystal looked like a rune stone in miniature with symbol drawn on it that looked like claws. Ethan took a deep breath and held the hovering crystal. It felt like sparks of lightning sizzling in his palm but he didn't let go. He placed his second hand and dragged the stone with all his might. Ignoring the pain he was feeling from his broken ribs, he pulled the crystal with much more force and he finally moved the crystal. Falling to the floor with it in his hand.
Immediately, the altar and the Formation Seal and Pillars that were shinning deeply reduced in intensity. It lost its power source to be at its full capacity. Ethan walked to the beast which closed its eyes and suddenly, it's body was disintegration, till what was left in the middle of the Formation seal was a dark crimson hovering ball. Emitting a menacing aura.
Without alert, it flew at high speed towards Ethan and entered him through his mouth.
