After that big a confession from Lance Serena could not focus on just training anymore and instead of waiting for Jack to show up, she called him but after ringing for a while there was no response, that was when it dawned upon her that the Vampire Settlement had no cell service, and despite how dangerous the place was for her, she would be hard to discern from a vampire if she wore a black cloak.
Most Vampires had dark hair, but a black cloak would cover her hair completely. She went down to the basement, and after getting there, she looked at the tapestry of secrets, bringing back some memories for a while,
Then she wore the black cloak from last time and punched in the coordinates Seraphina used last time to get them out of the settlement, and there she was at the vampire settlement. She kept the portable teleporter in her cloak.
Then tried stopping random Vampires to ask for directions, only to be completely ignored. Now she did not know how best she could contact her father, and there she was left with nothing to go by; her thoughts spun into overdrive, and faintly in her head she began to hear sounds,
*Where could she be? Only after being with Serena for a week, I lost her. What would Anne think? *
She looked around, wondering if someone else was nearby, but then connected the dots; that was her sister and her mother's name. Could she be hearing her father's thoughts?
That seemed absurd, but at the moment, there was barely anything that could actually seem impossible. After that night, her mother died, and she realized some things could not be explained with science. Then she heard another sound.

And that was where Serena went, though, since everyone wore a black cloak, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to look for someone. Then, she saw a castle, and only one vampire was going to it, and she went after him. Within seconds, he turned around and asked

Then he hugged her, heartily, garnering stares from everyone
"Dad, people are staring," Serena said
"Let them. I missed you so much. Where did you sleep?"
"It's a long story, and this is neither the time nor the place. Let's go home."
"Okay".
Then Jack rubbed a ring on his finger, and they appeared in the house.
"How at all did you do that?"
"This ring was something your mother gave me when we got married. It was a family heirloom, but I discovered it could teleport people to any location."
Then the words of the tapestry repeated in her head,
"You are a Starweaver."
Now she began to think, what at all was a Starweaver in the first place, but taking one thing at a time, she sat at the dining table, wearing black trousers and a blue shirt, while Seraphina came there dressed as usual, it was a family meeting.
There, Serena recounted the events of last night and put across to everyone at the table the words of Lance.
Then, at the end, Jack, who was drinking a blood substitute, choked, giving Serena reason to be suspicious.
"Serena, do you actually believe him?"
"I do not know what to believe anymore. You're on thin ice. I can hear your heartbeat. I know at least some of that might be true. Then Seraphina scoffed
"So now you're also a lie detector."
"I was not speaking to you."
"Girls, just stop it," Jack shouted, "I'll tell you everything."
"I'm waiting," Serena remarked.
"When I was your age, Serena, I was a weak, useless Vampire cast away by the members of the Envy Castle, but then the very first Vampire of the Ninth castle."
"Wait, there is a ninth castle?" Seraphina said shocked
"Briefly, The very first vampire of the ninth castle, The Vampire Punishers, a castle established to keep the Vampires in check, I was recruited and given great power by them, and I evolved into a Special Elite, at that time those Vampires were in very high demand, in fact they still are, just not as much, and the Envy vampires attempted to poach me, I went back using him and leaving, he said little after I left but I felt horrible, soon I became like the rest, indiscriminately sucking human blood and killing many women after raping them and enjoying their blood. Later when Dhampirs were introduced, the Punishers were against them that was when all Vampire forces came together as one to eliminate them, since I had the power of punishers I gave them a massive advantage exposing all weaknesses the power had and then there was this human turned dhampir, the fairest maiden of the land, with glowing pale skin, aqua blue eyes and radiant red hair, after multiple Vampires slept with her all at once she did not die like humans, and after the war she was bestowed to me as a reward, sleepless nights, I gave her, I even sucked her blood, on multiple occasions, and when the Dhampirs revolted she was pregnant, but I never saw her again, I thought she and her baby were eradicated like every other Dhampir but I was wrong, I never told you or your mom this, but it was a weight on my shoulders, I know you would never forgive me, But I am not that Vampire anymore, though it does not erase what I've already done there is nothing I can do to change that,"
Both sisters in the room were shocked, a loud silence filling the room. Seraphina was completely speechless. Serena, on the other hand, piecing the bits of information together, could finally see the picture the puzzle was forming, the whys and hows, but there were still some missing pieces: how did she survive, and now what exactly was Lance? How much of a threat is he to them and probably Dhampirs as well?
Moreover, putting into consideration his confession, she did not answer; she just did not know what to do, whose side to take, and how she should take in all this information. And there was hearing others' thoughts, how would she handle it?
