Chapter 13 - Play Time

Lisa had memorised Consuela's address, and the three ladies of the Cook family, under the leadership of Mary Cook, soon reached the front door of Consuela's rented house.
After ringing the bell, the door opened a bit later, revealing a young woman in her early twenties, her clothes looking plain and worn out, yet they still couldn't hide the curvy body contained within. Her eyes held a strange calmness, as if she were undeterred from any of the difficulties of her life.
Consuela's mother, Kim Wolfe, looked at the three females, two younger ones and one older, in surprise as she asked them,
"Who are you three? What are you doing here?"
Lisa's Aunt smiled merrily as she shook Kim's hand with hers and warmly spoke to her,
"Nice to meet you at last! Consuela's Mom, right? I am Mary, Lisa's Aunt. This here is my daughter, Madison, and the little one to my right is my adorable niece, Lisa. Consuela and Lisa are best friends at school, you know? And you see, we three were going out to have some fun today, but little Lisa here refused to go along unless her best friend Consuela came along with us! So, I came here to ask you... is it ok for us to bring Consuela along on our fun day together?"
The cheerful and vibrant aura from Mary made Consuela's mom, Kim, turn dazed before she smiled politely and replied,
"Counsuela's friend? I had heard about someone from her. Wait a moment, okay? I will go and ask her first if she wants to go out today."
"It's okay, it's okay. We are fine here. You can go ahead and ask her."
Kim nodded to the guests and let them wait at the door as she went to ask her daughter. Consuela was sitting on her study desk memorising the next few lesson contents. Her seriousness about studying made her mother giggle with pride.
Kim touched her daughter's small head as she asked her,
"Consuela, your friend Lisa is waiting at the door for you. She said that she came here today to invite you on a trip. She came along with her guardian, so do you want to go together with them as well?"

Upon hearing that Lisa had come to visit, Counsuela's interest piqued in a second. And when she learnt that she had been invited out to play together with Lisa, Consuela was tempted instantly as she nodded to her mother excitedly.
Her mother, Kim, smiled gladly and decided to let her diligent daughter have a day off to enjoy herself and relieve any pent-up stress.
She helped Consuela pack some essentials and sent her to the door. And at last, the group of four females finally assembled as they hailed a taxi to their destination.

The group of ladies took a bus ride to a popular dessert shop, as Lisa's aunt, Mary, decided to treat everyone's tongue with a big dose of sweetness.
Although Mary could have taken the car for the trip, she preferred to use public transportation for travelling, as she was more used to that since prior to her marriage. Also, her daughter, Madison, nagged her father to sell the old car for an electric vehicle.
Being a believer in environmental protection, Madison constantly discouraged her family and friends from using polluting private vehicles, so the old couple often gave in to her demands and chose to keep the car around for emergencies.
Of course, Mary's husband didn't argue, as he didn't get to use the car much anyway, other than for buying small supplies for their shop.
As Mary handed the ice creams and sweets to everyone, Lisa saw through Consuela's hesitation. She didn't let Consuela voice her refusal and force-fed Consuela her share, making Consuela blush with embarrassment.
Madison, meanwhile, was enjoying the rare treat as she heartily ate her share, wanting to pester her mother to buy her more later. Mary didn't refuse either, as both mother and daughter seemed intent on fully sampling everything to be offered by the shop.
Seeing the almost childish level of excitement on her aunt's face as she went on with her tasting frenzy, Lisa smiled in amusement as she tried to get Consuela to eat a bit more.
Her efforts weren't all selfless, as she hoped to trigger another hidden quest or gain a random system reward. She could only try bringing positive changes in Consuela's life, as she knew that the system had designated Consuela as an important character.
After fully satisfying their sweet craving, the two older ladies marched on ahead in high spirits, while the little ones followed behind hand-in-hand as the group entered a nearby mall.
Madison's eyes sparkled with a brilliant light as she eyed the latest designer clothes on the display shelves. Her mother's eyes, however, seemed to drift towards the frilly long dresses.
As such, the two kids were allowed to roam around freely, as long as they stayed nearby. Lisa stored her aunt's flip phone in her pocket as she led Consuela to a stall selling spicy snacks and bought a few, both for herself and for Consuela, along with two cans of apple juice.
As the two watched the older females go wild while rapidly changing their choices and shifting from one dress to another, Lisa began to understand the true purpose behind her aunt's invitation for the outing. Seeing how thrilled and defenceless her two family members looked, Lisa thought the hassle was worth it to see their smiling faces. Still, her little hands itched with the urge to have a little gaming session.
