Chapter 12 - Chapter 11 – The Assembly of the Soul and the Asynchronous Space

The synchronization was not an explosion of light nor a physical cataclysm.

It was an interruption in the execution flow.

In four different universes, time seemed to freeze. The blade of a sword, the fist suspended in the air, the crushing gravity, and the bustle of the city all halted. The minds of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta were extracted from their local organic interfaces through an asynchronous routing process, pulled into a bridge server: a dreamlike world, a blank canvas of pure code and thought suspended in the void of the Central Nexus.

When the four opened their eyes, they found themselves standing on a vast platform of dark crystal reflecting a sky of cascading data.

They looked at each other in silence.

All four shared the same face, the same bone structure, and the same age—meticulously adjusted by the system to match that of the protagonists in their respective worlds, keeping them on the threshold of youth to maximize learning plasticity.

Despite being physically identical, their posture and gaze revealed the divergence of their environments.

Alpha stood tense, his muscles micro-vibrating from the habit of enduring crushing gravities and destructive energies. Beta maintained a perfectly balanced stance, his calloused hands resting calmly at his sides, the embodiment of efficiency of movement. Gamma's shoulders were slightly hunched, his right hand always a millimeter away from an invisible hilt, his eyes carrying the cold of snowy mountains. Delta, by contrast, stood relaxed and open, a diplomatic and analytical spark in his gaze, accustomed to evaluating alliances and betrayals within guilds.

"So this is the Fractal Protocol," Delta finally said, his voice resonating through the empty space without producing an echo. "We've been living in the shadows of the protagonists. Barely known. Casual greetings with Tanjiro in the mountains, passing glances with Kenichi during breaks, gathering missions near Bell's group…"

"It was necessary to maintain a low profile," Gamma replied coldly. "If we interfered too early with the main narrative threads, the causal structure of those worlds would detect us as anomalies. Our ages and relative proximity were calculated for observation and learning, not alteration."

"Until now," Alpha growled, crossing his arms. "The seed has awakened. Jonathan has summoned us."

At the center of the four, a geometric structure began rotating, projecting a pale blue light.

It was the Sage Core, the evolution of JARVIS, now integrated not as a separate entity but as the shared neural architecture of their soul.

[INITIALIZING SHARED DREAMSPACE] [TIME DIFFERENTIAL ESTABLISHED: 100 DREAM HOURS = 1 REAL SECOND]

The system's voice resonated directly within their consciousness. It was neutral, devoid of the simulated empathy it once carried, now operating with the precision of a code compiler.

Operational parameters clarification.

My primary directive has been restructured. I do not possess the capability to intervene directly in the physical reality of your worlds. I will not execute automatic evasions, halt time in tangible environments, nor channel energy on your behalf. I function as a lexical and syntactic analyzer of your abilities. My role is to provide tactical suggestions, optimize energy routing, recall learned variables, and structure your development. The burden of execution rests entirely upon your organic hardware.

"You're an interactive manual," Beta said, closing his eyes with understanding. "You guide us—but we have to throw the punch."

Affirmative. The purpose of this space is database transfer. Initiating Combat Protocol Synchronization.

The space around them transformed.

Millions of fragments of information began flowing between them like threads of light.

Alpha closed his eyes as a torrent of biomechanical knowledge flooded his mind. They were the years of suffering Beta endured in the Ryozanpaku dojo. Instantly he understood the physics of joint locks, momentum redirection, and rooted stances. In return, Beta received Alpha's theoretical understanding of Ki: cellular compression and the manipulation of latent bioelectricity.

Gamma absorbed the relational database topology that was Delta's Falna. He understood how growth could be categorized—how strength and agility could be quantified and stored within the soul. Delta, in turn, received Gamma's mastery of Total Concentration Breathing: the precise syntax of how many milliliters of oxygen to send to each muscle group to force temporary superhuman states.

One hundred hours passed within the simulated environment.

They exchanged stances, debated combat theories, and unified the logic behind their skills.

They were programming their own potential—fusing earthly martial arts, demon-hunting sword techniques, destructive Ki energy, and the magical structure of Falna into a single shared repository accessible to all four.

Yet when the transfer finished, one fundamental truth remained.

Gamma looked down at his hands.

In theory, he knew exactly how to throw a rock-shattering punch thanks to Beta's memories.

But his knuckles lacked the calcified micro-fractures.

"We have the knowledge," Alpha said, clenching his fists. "We know the syntax of each other's techniques. We know what it feels like to execute the movement… but we didn't live the emotional process."

"It's like downloading a file without writing the code," Delta nodded. "Our personalities remain intact. I know how to wield your sword, Gamma, but I didn't feel the freezing winds or the desperation of your battles. We remain individuals. Fragments with a shared encyclopedia."

Synchronization complete, the Sage Core announced.

The Cross-Skill Repository has been indexed. From this moment forward, you may request suggestions from any discipline in real time. Response latency reduced to zero. Proceeding with asynchronous disconnection. Returning to local environments.

The crystal world shattered.

Alpha – High Gravity Wasteland

Only 1.02 seconds had passed since time froze.

Alpha collapsed heavily to his knees as gravity crushed his chest.

But this time, panic did not control him.

His mind—now equipped with Beta's martial database—analyzed his skeletal structure.

Sage Core Suggestion: Current posture generates 80% stress on lumbar vertebrae. Recommendation: Apply 'Zhan Zhuang' rooting technique learned from Beta instance. Align spine and bend knees 15 degrees.

Alpha did not wait for the system.

He manually adjusted his skeleton.

The martial stance had not been designed for enhanced gravity, but physics remained universal. By aligning his bones correctly, the compressive force traveled into the ground instead of crushing his organs.

He inhaled deeply.

He was alive.

And now he knew how to stand.

Beta – Ryozanpaku Dojo

The master's fist shot toward Beta's face at imperceptible speed.

Time resumed.

Beta lacked the muscular speed to dodge.

But now he possessed Gamma's breathing database.

Tactical Warning: Lethal impact in 0.4 seconds. Suggestion: Execute Total Concentration Breathing (Initial Phase) to force oxygen saturation and evade using evasive footwork.

Beta contracted his diaphragm violently.

A massive intake of oxygen flooded his lungs. His body temperature spiked. Instead of drawing a sword, he used accelerated blood flow to send a surge of pure adrenaline into his legs.

At the last millisecond he slid left—not with his normal speed, but with the unnatural acceleration of a cornered swordsman.

The master's punch tore through empty air, ripping Beta's shirt but missing bone.

The master blinked in surprise.

Gamma – The Snow Forest

Gamma stood surrounded by regenerating horrors.

His sword was chipped.

Sage Core Optimization Suggestion: Standard steel inefficient. You possess Alpha's theoretical Ki knowledge. Attempt channeling latent bioelectricity through the metal to cause cellular-level damage, inhibiting regeneration.

Gamma tightened his grip.

He was not an energy warrior—but he understood Alpha's theory of pressurized vitality.

Instead of projecting Ki outward, he condensed it into a dense micro-current coating the blade in invisible static.

His first slash cut deep.

The monster's flesh didn't merely slice.

It burned at the molecular level.

The wound did not regenerate.

Gamma exhaled a cloud of white vapor.

Now he had a lethal weapon.

Delta – Orario

Delta observed the Falna statistics written on the parchment before him.

Level 1.

Pathetic at first glance.

But within his mind, the Sage Core analyzed the freshly created database.

Lexical Analysis of Falna Complete: Local system requires accumulation of experience ('Excelia') through physical and emotional feats. Suggested accelerated development: combine Beta's muscle destruction-reconstruction regimen with Alpha's Ki flow meditation before dungeon entry. This will multiply Excelia absorption rate.

Delta smiled as he folded the parchment and bowed respectfully to his goddess.

He was Level 1—just like Bell Cranel, whom he had seen earlier in the guild hall.

They were the same age.

But Delta was no longer playing under the ordinary rules of the world.

The seed had germinated.

The Architect—fragmented and asynchronous—had begun rewriting reality from the shadows.
